Subject: mold in home

I believe we have black mold in our home owned by my husbands family. They will not address the issue and get inspection to verify however, I am experiencing health concerns and do not know what to do.

Have mold in children's bathroom, sprayed shower painted surface with Clorox. Surface mold appeared to disappear, however the mold/ mildew smell remains. I cannot see the mold/mildew but the smell is strong. The bathroom has no windows, but there is an exhaust fan.

I need to address this issue ASAP.
Will my insurance company take care of this?
