Subject: air filters

I have a 2008 Honda Accord. I went on line, googled air filters for 2008 Honda Accord and I was shown how to change the engine one and the air conditioner one-that's behind the glove compartment. I bought the new ones for less than $50 and changed both in about 25 minutes, taking my time to make sure they were installed properly. I was surprised to see that the air conditioner one had been put in upside down-- it is clearly marked- by the mechanic that had changed it before,(it did appear to be somewhat dirty); and that one of the clips that holds the cover on the compartment that houses the engine one had been broken off, this filter did not appear to be dirty enough to be changed, as was indicated, but I changed it anyway.
