Los Angeles Family Wins Angie’s List $20,000 Sweepstakes 150 Other New Members Win Upgrades as Company Celebrates New Free Offers
INDIANAPOLIS, August 3, 2016 – When the Loncar family moved into their Los Angeles area home, they knew it needed work. They did some of that work themselves but also worked with a contractor who came recommended by a friend to do a remodel.
“We chose the house because it’s in a great school district for our children, but early and unexpected obstacles made it a difficult experience,” said Charles Loncar. “Our contractor insisted on doing much of the work himself and used an inexperienced crew, and we weren’t happy with most of the work. In addition to the grand prize, Angie’s List upgraded the membership levels of 150 others who signed up the day the company announced its Green, Silver and Gold membership tiers, offering a free level for first time in the company’s 21-year history.
The membership tiers start with access to the company’s more than 10 million verified reviews and a digital, monthly magazine and adds additional values at premium tiers. Those premium tier values currently include a print magazine, service quality and fair price guarantees, customer support and complaint resolution.
Benefits planned to be added in the coming quarters include tools for project pricing, scheduling and financing (through partnerships), a handyman chat line, a home emergency service line, instant hiring, as well as eCommerce savings.
