Angie’s List Looking for the Best Toolbox in America; National Online Election Starts Today
INDIANAPOLIS, April, 6, 2016 – For tradesmen and women, there’s no more important spot in the shop than their toolbox. Whether that’s a traditional box, an apron or the entire van, the toolbox is a sacred place for those who treasure the tools of their trade.
So who has the best toolbox in America? Angie’s List today launched a national online contest to find out.
The winner of the contest wins an Angie’s List-paid night’s stay in downtown Indianapolis, a trip to the fabled bricks of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, tickets and a part in the 2016 Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis.
Angie’s List (Nasdaq: ANGI) is the title sponsor of the race, which will be held May 14 at the world-famous racetrack. The winning toolbox, and the story of its owner, will also be featured in Angie’s List publications.
“A lot of race fans think there’s no better time to be in Indianapolis than the month of May,” said Angie’s List founder (and race fan) Angie Hicks. “We’re hoping this contest will let us show off our headquarters to a highly deserving service pro and let him or her enjoy a little bit of some truly awesome racing.”
Angie’s List staff sorted from among more than 100 photos of toolboxes submitted by companies who have earned high grades from Angie’s List members. The top 20 toolboxes were chosen for the national contest. Most of the contenders include impressive sets of traditional home services tools (wrenches, screw drivers and hammers) but cleaning services, pet care and even a custom slipcover maker.
Go here to see the photos of the top 20 toolboxes and vote. Votes will be collected today through midnight May 2. Popular vote wins.
