Angie’s List Launches Weekly Home Improvement Magazine for Mobile Devices
INDIANAPOLIS (January, 6 2015) - Angie's List (NASDAQ:ANGI) has added a weekly digital magazine to its publishing offerings that already include online content, video tips, podcast and print magazines in more than 60 markets. The app is designed for Apple iOS mobile devices.
Available in the iTunes Newsstand, Angie’s List Weekly features exclusive articles, project inspiration and interactive content on home improvement, landscaping, decorating, automotive care, health and more. Backed by 19 years of research, data and reporting, Angie’s List has an expansive reach into the home improvement market. Angie’s List Weekly will leverage that reach and the company’s unmatched insight from highly rated service providers and members to bring digital readers relevant and proven advice.
“We have nearly two decades worth of home improvement insights from both the consumer and contractor perspective,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks. “Angie’s List Weekly is our most innovative, fun and convenient way to share that information. Each month, we’ll focus on a theme and give fresh examples each week of fun projects, including tips, how-to’s, advice and inspiration.”
Veteran journalists develop the content, art and graphics in Angie’s List Weekly by combing through consumer stories offered by nearly three million Angie’s List members, independent research and interviews with the service professionals who have earned high marks on the reviews and e-commerce site.
For a limited time, consumers who download the free app via iTunes will receive 19 weeks of content instantly, at no charge and no subscription required. The backlogged “Weekly” topics (available now) focus on home maintenance and repair, interior upgrades, remodeling and more.
Current and new Angie’s List members can subscribe to Angie’s List Weekly free of charge. Non-members can purchase the magazine for $0.99/issue, $1.99/month or $9.99/year.
Angie’s List Weekly joins the award-winning family of Angie’s List original content for consumers, including a monthly print magazine, a weekly podcast and radio show, weekly videos and thousands of online articles covering a wide range of consumer lifestyle topics.
Angie's List helps facilitate happy transactions between nearly 3 million consumers nationwide and its collection of highly-rated service providers in 720 categories of service, ranging from home improvement to health care.
