One of the cords on my shades broke and I just wanted it fixed. Didn't want to get new blinds/shades. Had a hard time finding anyone to just fix the cord until I found "Made in the Shade." It was around $125 to get this restrung which is way cheaper than new shades (mine are top down bottom up shades). They came out the next day to fix (I am in Arlington) and the guy Brooks was excellent. Super polite - covered his shoes - and had my cord fixed in less than 1 hour. The best!

ACUSTOM BLIND SERVICE
I looked for weeks to find someone to fix a broken slat in a large window blind that was in a rental house I own. I did not know the manufacturer, date of purchase, or anything about the blind. Neil was super helpful telling me where to look for information in the blind itself, and then figuring out what kind of blind it was!! He answered phone calls promptly and I did not have to call him twice. Then, he came to pick up the blind for repair exactly at the time he said he would come, and brought sample colors to make sure the match was good. He promised to call within 1 week and come to install the blind back right away. That is exactly what he did showing up on time again!! The match of the new slat with the blind is perfect and it looks like new! I am really impressed with his customer service and willingness to find help for you. Superb experience.

ABUDGET BLINDS
A design consultant visited my home with fabric/materials to look at. I made a selection. The shades took a couple of weeks and were installed by a Budget Blinds installer. There was an installation fee ($65). The blinds looked fine. Later I discovered that one of the blinds did not hit the bottom of the window it fell short. I called the design consultant who came back to assess the problem. She had to then return and talk with the manufacturer to determine if she made a mistake in measuring or HD made a mistake or I had strange windows. The blind was only 1/2 inch short but it made the blind stick out letting light in and was not acceptable to me. She returned to measure again and took the blind to send back to HD. In a couple of weeks the new or fixed blind came back and was reinstalled. They are simply gorgeous and quite extravagant but do wonders for the rooms. At the time I got a 30% discount which was very nice.

2 years later one cordless blind wouldn't go up. I returned it to the store, 2 days later I received a call to come pick up the fixed blind.   Last month the other cordless blind wouldn't go up.  I took it to the store for repair.  2 days later i received a call letting me know the repaired blind was ready for pick up.   The header had to be replaced and is different then the one i had originally so I had to install new mounting brackets they had provided. All of this was at no additional cost to me.  My only complaint is the time it takes to get service in the store.  They only have 2 sales people and so if they are already working with a customer you have to wait.  I had to wait an hour to be helped when I returned my second repair.  otherwise the process is  painless and free. BNext Day Blinds - Fairfax
We first ordered 1 blind to check quality and looks of it. Everything went fine. We then ordered the remaining blinds (about 7) online. They were delivered quickly. The quality was not great; 2 of the blinds had to be returned for repairs, as they were not hanging straight. On several others the end caps were missing. All of them were loose and I had to reattached them. Apparently there is no quality control before the blinds are being shipped. When the repaired blinds were delivered, the end caps were missing as well. We made 3 calls and 3 times ends caps were sent out, but every time they were the wrong color. They were not able to match the own colors! The whole process was very disappointing; we still need some blinds for several doors, but it definitely will not be with from next day blinds. ----------------------------------------- To update my previous review: Next Day Blinds did contact us after this report. They did make it right, thus I adjusted my report. We are about to order some more blinds, and will give it another shoot with Next Day Blinds.
