ABelair Appliance Repair
My four year old Maytag dishwasher was starting to act a little crazy. I didn't want to deal with Maytag and the people who sold me the dishwasher were too far away. So I checked Angie's List and this guy had lots of good reviews and he was close by. I told him my problem over the phone and he pretty much figured out what was wrong. He asked for the model number so he could look up the part and told me he would call back.  He called back in about a half hour, told me the cost of the part, the cost of labor and that he could come out and do the repair the next day and he gave me a two hour window that he could make it out. He came out during the early part of the two hour window, had the part that was needed and made the repair. He even provided some advice about another appliance that was giving me trouble (a washer) and re-secured an access panel on the dishwasher that had been loose for years. I highly recommend this guy. He's good at what he does and he's a straight shooter.

ARC was very responsive and was able to schedule an appointment to replace the defective dishwasher parts the next day. The technician was prompt, professional, and efficient. I would definitely use ARC again in the future.

Service window was from noon to three - I received a call from serviceman at 1145 that he was on his way and he arrived right at noon. He got straight to work after I described problem, which turned out to be due to nothing more than a loose connection behind the circuitboard. He repaired the connection. He then checked to make sure the intermittent operation of the machine I reported was not due to any leakage (no sign of corrosion or water in the electronics)  - provided an estimate for replacing the circuitboard just in case the problem wasn't actually resolved - but assured me that almost certainly it WAS fixed -  and left around 1230 after making sure the machine was actually operational. Pros: Punctual, quick, professional, honest - with no attempt to sell me on a replacement or repair of a part that wasn't necessary. Only charged me $69 for the service call, and in the unlikely event I do need to replace the circuitboard over the next few weeks, they will deduct $69 from the cost of the follow-up visit because it will be considered part of the first service call. Cons: None whatsoever I will use these folks again if I ever have any issues with any of my kitchen appliances

On  Thursday June 4, 2015 my MAYTAG dishwasher would NOT start. I called MAYTAG's  800 service number and was informed that service by one of their master MAYTAG technicians was NOT available until week of June 22. I then accessed Angie's List and procured the services of All American Appliance Service, Inc. One of their technicians, Mark, arrived on Monday June 8, 2015. Mark examined the dishwasher and knew immediately what the problem was. He contacted the parts department at MAYTAG, which was local. He drove to their office, retrieved the part, then returned and replaced the part. So in less than 2 working days, all service was completed in less than 90 minutes. My dishwasher is now working perfectly. I was extremely impressed by the knowledge, efficiency and professionalism of the technician. Thanks to Angie's List, I will certainly contact "All American Appliance Service, Inc." should I need any appliance services in the future.

ADiscount Appliances Repair HVAC
We called Discount Appliances Repair after finding them on the List about our dead dishwasher. They responded same day and quickly diagnosed a damaged control board. They charged us for the service call and said they'd order the part. The technician returned several days later but the replacement part was not the correct one for our model. He apologized and said he'd order the correct one and return. After hearing nothing for a few days, I called DAR directly and asked about the status. Our new control board hadn't arrived yet, but our technician checked their on-site supply of spare parts and located one that wasn't on their main inventory. He arrived that afternoon--although after the scheduling window we'd set up--and replaced the control board. Start to finish, we were without a functioning dishwasher for about a week.

In short, it was perfect.   I had researched the issue we were having with our dishwasher and knew that it was a 'known' problem with this model.  Called to request an estimate, which Bonnie was able to provide down to the penny after some part research.  The appointment scheduling was easy and reasonable, although they do have 'windows' which I wish were a little narrower or more flexible - but that's standard for the industry. I ended up having to postpone the appointment due to a work emergency, and that was effortless. As promised, the technician called 10-15 minutes before he arrived.  He was friendly, professional, and efficient.  Well spoken and clean cut too, things that aren't always a given.  Replaced the heating element and advised that sometimes the control board gets affected too, so I should watch out for any further problems.  He did all the work without leaking water all over the place which I half-expected, and cleaned up what did drip out from the pipes.  He was done in an hour or so, and charged the exact quoted price. I frankly can't ask for or expect any better service.  3 thumbs up.

AMike's Appliance Service
My dishwasher which had been working great for 2 years suddenly started to make a very very loud Buzzing noise. while washing the dishes. I called Mike's on a Saturday morning - Paul answered and got the information - he was in the neighborhood finishing another job and arranged to come to my house within 30 minutes. He arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, made the repair and was off to another job within 25 minutes. Fantastic experience - I will definitely use this Service again.

AOLD DOMINION APPLIANCE REPAIR
I called and scheduled the first late-afternoon appointment available. though I had to wait from Monday until Friday, I was willing to wait, as not only did Old Dominion Appliance Repair have a great rting in Angie's List, but my daughter has used him for several appliance repairs of her own. I received a call early Friday afternoon that Alan was running late and i could either re-schedule or he would get to us later Friday evening. We elected to wait for him to come that same night. We were very pleased with the knowledge and skill Alan possesses! Because we live in fairly close proximity to his home/office, Alan gave us a discount which was very nice of him. We love our new latch! We can get dishes in AND out of the dishwasher now! We recommend this company wholeheartedly!

AExpert Appliance Services
Only gave a "good"  rating vs. price as replacement part (from Maytag) bundles additional sub-assemblies not needed for actual repair of of a small broken plastic hinge/latch rod, making part cost excessive.  That is not, however, the fault of the Expert Appliance Service company, but rather, that of Maytag in terms of bad design (cheap plastic hinge/latch rod breaks way too often in these models) and replacement part is overkill consisting of the complete latch with an electronic switch along with the rod.) They honored an Angie's list discount coupon, reducing cost by about $20-$30. Showed up on time with the necessary part (since I had given model/serial and what was broken as part of scheduling service), finished quickly, friendly tech.

Mark came out the same day, took apart the innards and bottom of the dishwasher and found 2 problems -- a small leak near the motor and some shards of glass from a broken wine glass a few months earlier. Mark recommended replacing the "impeller assembly" to fix the leak/grinding noise rather than have us replace the whole dishwasher (which would have been our only other alternative). After getting the impeller kit the next day, he installed it and ran the dishwasher multiple times to make sure everything was working properly -- and it was, beautifully -- just like new! Not only were we impressed with Mark's professionalism and skills, but his recommendations saved us considerable money, too. We'd hire him again in a heartbeat.

After consulting Angie's List I contacted ALL AMERICAN APPLIANCE INC and spoke to the owner. I explained my problem with a noisy refrigerator and floppy dishwasher door. The repairman came out a few days later and was very quick to diagnose the problem with the Amana refrigerator - that needed a new evaporator fan motor, which had to be ordered. He then turned his attention to the dishwasher door, and spent about half an hour replacing that door spring which had come off somehow. The same repairman returned eleven days later with the new fan and replaced it quickly. He was very professional in the way he handled the job. I have confidence in the quality of the work and it was a fair price for the work.

AUS Appliances Services Inc
Highly recommended!  Everything went really well.  I called last Thursday to mention that our dishwasher had stopped working.  It is a Maytag, and we had had problems with the controls since we moved into this house.  All we could do was turn it on or off, and recently even that stopped working. He ordered two parts (the touch pad, and a control box or something), saying that it was probably one of the two parts, and he wanted to make sure he had them both.  He gave quotes for parts + labor for each separately.  He ordered the parts.  Once the parts arrived, we scheduled the appointment.  He was very polite and professional.  He took off his shoes before walking on our recently refinished hardwood floors, even without my asking. I watched the repair, since I had never seen the inside of a dishwasher door panel before.  He was very skilled.  It is clear he has done many repairs.  The repair of the touch pad went beautifully.  Then he set out to fix the kick plate (which had been put in badly by ANOTHER company after they removed it to see whether we had tile under the dishwasher or not).  Mr. Singh fixed that too. When he was done, maybe 40 minutes later, we had a fully working touch pad for the first time since we have moved in, our dishwasher was able to run again, and the kick plate had been fixed so now the door opens and stays down again, just like it used to. This was my first time doing business with Mr. Singh's company, and I am very impressed.  I did notice that his company is listed by the Better Business Bureau (unlike most repair places I looked up), and he had an A rating at the time.  I hope nothing else breaks any time soon, but if anything does I will not hesitate to call him.

Scheduling was fine. He quoted me a price for repairs. With the amount that I already paid through the deal, it was going to cost in total about $500 to repair. I ended up purchasing a new dishwasher instead of having it repaired.

The repair man was very communicative about the work he was doing. He got the dishwasher to work again with less build up and recommended steps to improve performance. This is the second time we have used this company and have been very satisfied with the service.

Our Maytag dishwasher began leaking on Friday, but I didn't call until Saturday. I got an appointment for Monday afternoon that worked for me, requesting not only a dishwasher repair, but also an icemaker repair (on a Kenmore refrigerator) that we'd been putting off for years. The company called 10 minutes before arrival, just as they promised. Two people showed up and were done in about 40 minutes. They were delightful and courteous and very efficient. ((It would have been a perfect experience, but for that "pulling the refrigerator away from the wall" thing you have to do to get at the icemaker. Despite their assurances that "this is normal, ma'am," I am now resolved to pull it out far more regularly so I don't die of embarrassment in the future.))

Not only did Blake show up within the window that I had been given (8-10 AM), but he showed up at 8:10 AM, and performed the repair in less than an hour. I really appreciated the punctuality and the speedy service. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs a home applicance repair and I will use them again if I am in need of such service.

DBRAY & SCARFF
The result is good: the appliance was eventually repaired and is now working properly. However, in my opinion it took way too long. The replacement hose needed in this repair was a simple $60 part, which took about 5 days to arrive. However, Bray and Scarff took close to a week to schedule the initial diagnostic appointment. The technician came at 7:45 am on a Thursday and was gone at 8:15, but did not communicate the fact that my dishwasher needed the hose until the following Monday, at which point Bray and Scarff was ready to "initiate" an estimate. In other words they knew what I needed on Thursday but did not order it until Tuesday of the next week! Why? Asked them why and they said that those were their "procedures." Well, how about making procedures convenient for their clients? After they had finally "initated" the estimate, it took almost a week for the hose to arrive. When it arrived, they were ready to set up a repair appointment, which they could not make the same or the next day. It took almost a week again to make the appointment. I will never use them again. They don't seem hardworking or swift enough for my taste. The support personnel I spoke on the phone with were not helpful and had an attitude. I am going to find a different appliance repair company, no more Bray and Scarff.
