Amazing. Raymond restored to chairs so well that to this day -- I cannot tell which chairs were the ones he repaired. His craftsmanship and attention to detail are phenomenal and I enthusiastically recommend him if you have valuable furniture that needs to be restored or repaired. He's worth every penny!

APascal's Woodworking
Pascal did a fantastic job restoring broken handles on two teak arm chairs from a set of six. The repairs were beautifully and seamlessly carried out, and he even took remedial action and strengthened the two arm rests that weren't broken yet, at no additional cost. We had thought we would need to buy new chairs, but his restoration job means we can now keep the original set as is for a few more years. Thank you Pascal!

Raymond loves furniture and his enthusiasm is infectious when he walks you through what he did for you treasured possession. Today I picked up my end table and learned that it was indeed, mahogany, and that the pulls were brass. He was even able to remove the stains from his he leather inlay without disturbing the gold leaf decoration. I have used Raymond once before, to restore what I thought was a hopeless mess, and he always comes through. I am already planning the next project I will send to him!

AGEORGETOWN REFINISHING & ANTIQUE RESTORATION
They did a beautiful job. They were extremely nice to deal with on the phone. They showed up when they said that they would. They were very careful loading all of the parts and pieces in to the truck. My daughter said that when they brought it into her home they were very careful. She pointed a couple of things out that hadn't been done and there was just a miscommunication between the office, my daughter, and myself. I am still waiting for them to come back to complete the work.

On time, exact estimates, perfect color match and a beautiful hand rubbed finish when done. ?These were the most important pieces of furniture we owned. ?I thought almost impossible to restore but I had to try since everything else was lost to the fire. ?Best decision I ever made. ?Joe and Ann restored more than furniture, they restored a key part of my life.

AWooden Restorations
I researched several furniture restoration vendors in the area and what drew me to Wooden Restorations was Rich’s extensive experience in restoring roll top desks. Anyone who is familiar with antique roll top desks knows they have lots of moving parts (tambour doors, drawer locking mechanisms, pigeon hole shelving with tight-fitting drawers and hidden compartments). I have a Macey Roll top desk (circa 1910) that has been in my family for over 60 years and it needed extensive work. The tambour door assembly was detached and its canvas backing was completely deteriorated so I had to find someone who knew the intricacies of restoring the tambours to their original articulated working condition. Rich will sit down with you and tell you exactly what is needed to restore your piece of furniture. For my Macey roll top desk, Rich had repaired all the damaged sections (there were several areas) and he took painstaking care to keep all of the original Macey manufacture markings while he hand-stripped the old finish and lightly sanded, where necessary, all wooden finished surfaces. He hand-finished all the wood paneling, tambours, pigeon hole shelving, drawers and trim to their original luster. Rich took prudent care to keep the original patina of the wood. What really impressed me about the project was that he took detailed pictures of the entire restoration process (over 200 pictures) and he provided it to me on a disk as a slide show. Rich completed the job right on schedule (about a month) and the price was very competitive with other vendors in the National Capital Region. Rich was definitely the right person to for the job. He is a true artisan who takes great pride in restoring antiques / heirlooms furniture and he has extensive knowledge on many old American furniture pieces and companies from his extensive work through the years. He is truly a pleasure to work with and I will not go to anyone else from now on. I have included a picture of my roll top desk before it was restored (we found the missing drawer after the picture was taken) and two photos after it was restored to all it’s splendor.

I am so pleased with the restoration of this cabinet! I will definitely be using Wilson for future furniture restoration projects. Wilson was very responsive over email and was super friendly and professional when picking up and delivering the finished piece to me. The only slight complaint was that both times we had set pick up/delivery times, he called to readjust the time the day of. This wasn't a problem for me because I happened to be home all day on both days.

They are a great company. I had them repair 1 oak dining room chair and make repairs to a second chair. They had great recommendations about the chairs and were very honest. I ended up using them subsequently for several antique upholstery  projects. They did a fantastic job. I got an estimate from them to also re-upholster an antique love seat and chair. They also ended up re-gluing the rest of the dining room chairs and work on some other chairs. They have a real respect and appreciation for your furniture and antiques. They do not charge to pick up or deliver your furniture. They saved me hundreds of dollars for not charging me for that.  I have worked with Wilson Delgado and he has been wonderful to work with. He is timely and comes out when he says he will. He has been top notch and scheduling was super easy. My neighbor is also using the company because she was so impressed with their work.

Very well. The table looks gorgeous! The company was very helpful in giving me an estimate based on photos I sent them via e-mail. The color-match of the table top with the pedestal base was perfect.

The chair is great. I can now sit on it without sinking to the floor. The bed is amazing. It is 200 years old and is now solid and sturdy. It looks fabulous. I had complications when it came to deliver it, but they were gracious and considerate despite my lack of availability. I can't express how happy I am with the entire experience.

The table is one of those tables with a lyre in the base and the top folds open to twice its size, and also swivels to reveal a hidden storage area, like for writing materials or small games.  It had been in my boyfriend's grandmother's house, surviving battering by numerous children, and bore many scars to show it.  The least was an unevenly faded and worn finish, all the way up to a broken leg with the last 3" missing, and other broken parts.  The restoration price was way more than buying a new piece, and the shop was very open about that (which I already knew).  But it was a very sentimental piece, so I decided to go for it.  I wish I had "before" pictures, because the table looks brand new now. After the table had been dismantled and stripped, I was invited back to choose a stain color.  Each was applied in a test square and allowed to dry, so I could see just how it would be in the end.  He also showed me some finished pieces of similar wood and stain, so I could judge the final look, too.  Even disassembled and stripped, I couldn't believe the craftsmanship gone into the piece, with replacing the missing portion of the leg, a lyre "string", and infilling numerous chips. The finished piece is simply gorgeous.  It's hard to believe it's the same piece.  He had to show me where the repairs were, I couldn't see them myself. For all the work put into the table, from dismantling to restoration and refinishing, I feel I paid a fair or more-than-fair price.  Everyone I spoke with in the shop was very friendly and gentlemanlike.  I plan to take 2 or 3 more pieces there for repair!

Recent Review: What a fantastic experience. George and Tea are so friendly. Before restoration began, we discussed the entire project and looked the piece over with great care. This piece of furniture is 120 years old and had a lot of loose and damaged parts. Now, the piece is solid and exquisitely restored. I never dreamed this cabinet could look so beautiful and it is a testament to true craftsmanship. Their prices are very fair and their overall professionalism is commendable.
