Recent Review: We are not pleased with LV Electric's performance on this specific job. As the professionals they did not provide guidance to us, the customers, on how to best complete this project. Also this project took approximately 3 days which should have only took 1. Day 1. Although they were scheduled for a 9am appointment, they didn't show up until after 1pm. Their phones were down and thus would not return our calls regarding how late they were. They did not respond to us until I sent an email and then let me know they're phones were down, someone was out sick, and they were short staffed/running late. As professionals in this age, someone should have used a cell phone to contact and update us as the customers. Once they arrived we were ready to move on and get the job finished. However, a 1 day project turned into a multiple day headache. We volunteered to supply the HDMI cables because there are websites that offer cables at very reasonable prices. Pre LV Electric's guidance we purchased 25 ft. cables. The cables ended up being too short because our suggested placement of the cable box required 35 ft. cables. LV Electric would say they ran the cables this way because we told them too. I would disagree with this because as the professionals they should have advised us that our suggested placement of the cable box would require longer cables that we did not have on hand. LV Electric's recommendation was to use HDMI connectors to length the cables. However, they did not have them on hand and had to come back out to finish the job. Day2. LV Electric arrived late again, but finished the project. I was even willing to move past the bad patch job. However, their recommendation to use extenders was a terrible one that as customers and not professionals we initial didn't realize. When we mounted the TV and plugged in the HDMI cables none worked because ALL FOUR cables came unplugged, IN THE WALL, where the extenders were connected. We called LV Electric and complained. Although they were responsive and returned our call, they tried to put some blame on us. But ultimately, they were in the wrong because as the professionals they should have never recommended using extenders, especially when the connection as placed behind the walls. Day 3. We ultimately canceled our appointment for LV Electric to fix this problem. They were late AGAIN and when we called to find out where they were, they informed us that they were on an emergency call and would not be at our home until 1.5 hrs past their scheduled appointment. During that call we were informed this appointment was not to fix the problem but to diagnosis it. Thus requiring a 4th day to fix any issue that they found . Overall LV Electric was a lower cost, but also unpunctual, took too long, and provided unwise recommendations.
