Excellent. The two salesmen we dealt with were professional and friendly. We didn't feel pressured or hustled! Originally we had our master bedroom and stairs carpeted. But then I didn't like how the old and new carpet looked together in the other bedrooms (they were seamed together at the doorways). I called the salesman Mike and told him we wanted the other two bedrooms done. I was concerned about getting the same dye lot. Mike was honest and told me the manufacturer did not have any more of our dye lot. He told us the next dye lot would be so close we wouldn't notice. I was worried but ordered it. He was right!! I can't tell the difference in color and the installer did an excellent job seaming them together. It looks beautiful! Both times the installers were professional and did a great job.

AAyoub Carpet Service
First time I've used Ayoub and I plan to use them again!  They were terrific-- very responsive, polite, professional and did fantastic work above and beyond the call of duty.  They saved us from having to replace an entire room of wall to wall carpeting by removing 2 RED DYE STAINS from our carpet that others said couldn't be done.  (Red dye from an oriental carpet placed over the wall to wall beige carpeting on the first floor had bled into the beige synthetic fiber wall to wall when water damaged the first floor of our home.)  I tried other companies, but they all said red dye couldn't be removed.  But they recommended that I call Ayoub because of its long record handling not only wall to wall carpeting but oriental rugs as well. .  Ayoub said they couldn't promise anything, but  they had a red dye heat transfer process that might work.  So they sent out Andre and Byron.  They called first, arrived on time, and were professional, polite, personable.  They also took the time necessary to do quality work.  Andre is a wizard!  He applied the heat transfer process several times to the areas damaged by red dye, and voila!  The red dye is now all but disappeared from our beige carpet.  So much for "it can't be done!"  I can't say enough about these terrific techs, especially Andre.  They also steam cleaned several pieces of furniture for us, which hadn't been cleaned in ten years and thanks to their careful work, now look like new!    Great company.  Great service.  It's such a relief when disaster strikes to find companies that do quality work..  Thank you Angie's List for pointing me in their direction!

AHeaven's Best Carpet Cleaning
His service lived up to the very positive ratings I had previously read on Angie's List about him.  During his consult visit regarding our flooring issues, he submitted suggestions for each problem area - even referring us to his wood floor specialist.  Later, he delivered a dye kit so we could experiment with it for one of our problem areas.  He then came promptly for the carpet care we eventually chose from his options. He was always pleasant, very knowledgeable, and helped us economically sort through a wide variety of flooring issues we had. He will always be recommended to all who ask us.

They have a showroom.  They have a very good pricing and very good rates.  They did our entire house in a day and half.  They moved all the furniture.  They were a minor stain sort of a dye on the carpet.  They came out the next day and fixed that.  They did a really good job.  The labors were very good.

ABudget Carpet Services
I bought my house from a seller that used Budget Carpet Services and I'm glad they did. After moving in, I removed a built-in that did not have any carpet underneath it. I was able to reach Chet who was responsive and knowledgeable. He was able to obtain the same carpet brand and color (albeit the same dye-lot was no longer available), and he seamlessly installed carpet to the missing area quickly and affordably. Not only would I use him again, but I am using him again. He is scheduled to return next week to repair a hole that my pups ate in the carpet.

Unbelieveable carpet repair! We had two problems that he solved. We had a permanent ink stain in a prominent place in the bedroom on light cream wall-to-wall carpet that could not be removed through cleaning. I thought I would have to recarpet the entire room. He cut the stained area out of the bedroom carpet, was able to cut out a piece of (unstained) carpet from the closet and switch them. I don't know how he did it, but you couldn't tell that the repair had been done. It looked absolutely perfect in the bedroom. The second carpet problem was an area where I had spilled bleach on a grey carpet in a different room. He was able to dye the area where the bleach had spilled so it was a closer match to the carpet. It looked so much better when he was done. He is not inexpensive but it was way cheaper than having to recarpet two rooms and a hallway. Also, he is a very personable guy and came exactly on time.

FHOME DEPOT
This was a nightmare! Home Depot uses one subcontractor to take measurements, and then another subcontractor does actual installation work. Three men showed up with bad attitudes, and unable or "unwilling" to speak English. It was clear they did not want me watching them work or having any say in what was happening in my house. At 6 pm, they finally got to the dining room and realized measurements for the dining room were wrong and the carpet was too small by more than 1 foot on all sides. It took another month to get replacement carpeting, but the dye lot was different. Now the dining room carpet does not match living room color. I had to badger Home Depot management at 7 Corners to give me refund. They reluctantly gave me meager $200 credit for my inconvenience (when overall job cost me $7,000), and I had to call several times (and then visit in person) to follow up to actually receive the credit. No one ever apologized. I WILL NEVER USE HOME DEPOT AGAIN!

Mike made a couple visits to our house with samples (he no longer staffs a retail store but routinely works by phone or in person this way -- a great convenience to the customer). After several discussions, we settled on Berber carpeting and scheduled delivery/installation. His team came as scheduled. The work was thorough, and over all very good. There were 3-4 spots where we felt some subsequent attention, fixes were needed and Mike readily agreed and scheduled workers to return and address the issues. MEANTIME, however, our improperly installed (by an unrelated separate home delivery company) overflowed, dousing 2/3 of the freshly installed (10-days old) brand new beautiful carpeting. After dealing with an unsuccessful attempt by a cleaning/restoration company, we AGAIN called Mike and reordered more of the same carpeting. Mike provided another estimate (to be covered, subsequently, by the errant insurance company's client, fortunately). Mike quickly reserved the carpet from the same dye lot even before we fully confirmed wanting a redo and subsequently sent an even more expert installation team for the new carpets. Mike is a pleasure to do business with, has a relaxed, gentile, very honest and sincere manner and has available capable installers with whom he has worked for several years. Despite the pain connected with the situation, our dealings with Mike and his staff provided a happy respite from the rest of the activities connected with dealings with others. The price shown for the services below is for the first full installation only (the subsequent redo of a portion of the work was less since the hall and bedroom did not get flooded and need to be redone). A point of information for others: Mike's cost typically includes removal, if needed of existing carpeting, and a charge for having to move furniture. These are in addition to the straightforward installation cost built into the price of the carpet and padding on a per square foot/yard basis.

When we decided to work with Petersen's to renovate our Rec Room they said that the job wouldn't be finished until we said "we loved it" and they really stuck by that. ?The removal of the old carpet, hardwood and ceramic tile went very smoothly despite needing to remove only two rows of tile and preserve the other four (we were making the area smaller). ?Teresa Schuyler did a great job spec'ing the right pad for our basement rec room as well as helping us find a carpet that complimented an adjacent room (color wise) and met our needs from a quality and price perspective. ?The carpet was installed on-time however I was out of town at the time of installation and when I got back was able to verify that the shade of color was not consistent with the sample we chose from. ?In my experience, many providers at this point in the process would have told us that was a risk we took and that dye lots are not guaranteed, afterall, it was already installed. ?But Petersen's stepped completely up in the service of us as customers. ?Teresa (our rep) spoke to the manufacturer and facilitated a review of the installed carpet and negotiated on our behalf for a re-install. ?When the new carpet arrived at the warehouse Teresa, as well as Petersen's staff, inspected the carpet and determined it was not up to their quality standards. ?Teresa then sat down with us and really went the distance to find an alternate manufacturer that would meet our needs. ?A couple of short weeks later the old carpet was removed and the new one installed and WE LOVE IT. ?As a beautiful bow on top of the whole process Petersen's discounted our total project price as a gift and acknowledgement that although the end result was as promised the process was not what they make their reputation on. ?We have additional renovations coming up this year and next and we will absolutely return to Petersen's for all of our flooring needs.

FHadeed Carpet Cleaning Inc
A simple rug cleaning job turned nasty. Mind you this was not an expensive rug as area rugs go but I loved it. It is an Indian Heriz rug, but was the exact same rug I saw in a magazine that I carried around with me for weeks that I wanted to find....the perfect rug for my room. I knew it was my rug the minute I saw it. I was called a few days later by one of the repair evaluators who told me there were a few spots that looked like they needed to be repaired. Since, I had the rug cleaned and some minor repairs a few years ago, I was reluctant to add more to the bill. I was told that they had cleaned the rug but didn't end up needing to do the pet deodorizing and stain removal treatment that the regular cleaning procedure had taken care of the pet urine. I should have known then that they were not interested in procedure or that one part of the shop didn't know what the other part was doing. I was told that they would use my coupon that I had originally brought in for the 20% discount instead of the pet special. Ok...I the coupon in and received a credit to my account for about $70. Since I had the credit, I decided to have one of the spots repaired that he had mentioned; about a quarter size "worn" spot. Not really a big deal. A week later they called and said the rug was ready. My son picked it up for me and brought it into the house, where it sat rolled up until we got back from vacation a few weeks later. When we unrolled the rug, to our horror, we saw that much of it had turned a greenish blue. The colors had run! I took it back the next morning and it was laid out on the floor in the front office. The Hadeed guy was also astonished that the rug had turned that awful color. He wrote out a ticket for me and said that they would fix the rug...no charge and that someone would call me back soon. Well, several days later, I finally called and asked what was being done. I was told that the guy I would need to talk to was on vacation but would call me soon. Finally, he called me back and started talking like he had no clue about the situation and that he thought he was calling about a rug that had come in to be evaluated for color restoration. He told me that yes they could fix the color run but that it was very tedious work and would be very very expensive. I couldn't believe they were so clueless! I told him that yes I understood that the work would be tedious and expensive but that was their problem because they were going to fix it because they had ruined it. After a few minutes of trying to get him to understand the situation I asked to speak with the owner of the company. Mike Hadeed eventually called us and asked us to come into the plant and look at the rug together. He basically told us that the rug we brought it was subpar compared to the rugs that he has in his home. He told us that sometimes the dyes in these rugs isn't stable and can't withstand the procedure...STOP here. AT NO POINT WAS I INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE DYES MIGHT BE UNSTABLE. WE ALL KNOW THAT BY READING THE FINE PRINT ANYWHERE IT ALWAYS SUGGESTS DOING A SPOT CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT THE COLOR ISN'T AFFECTED. THERE IS NO DISCLAIMER ANYWHERE OR AT ANY TIME MENTIONED THAT THIS MIGHT BE A PROBLEM. THEY HAD CLEANED THE SAME RUG WITH GOOD RESULT A FEW YEARS EARLIER......mind you....it takes a lot to get me this ticked off. But after a heated exchange, my husband in the interest of world peace negotiated to pay them an additional $800 to restore the color run. Mike Hadeed was so condescending and unprofessional with me, not my husband, I was astonished. We were assured that they would put this job on the RUSH list and that it would be done in a few weeks. Well, this was at the end of July. Off for vacation in August....no word at all for the whole month of August and into September. Finally, my husband contacted them and they responded a few days later. They had taken a look at the rug again and it still needed more work. Bull-larky. Finally we were asked to come a take a look at it to make sure it was up to our standards. We paid them the $800 to fix a rug that THEY HAD RUINED and it still looked like crap. I contacted a friend of mine and told her the LONG story. She happens to own a carpet cleaning company and told me that their company uses DYE stabilizers....what a concept....and that in the same situation their company would have fixed the rug at no cost....what a concept....think I learned that in first grade. The stain shows through the dye job they did and the cream colored spots on the rug look blueish dirty. I could use the additional FiveThousandForty characters remaing to rant some more, but I hope you all get the gist that this company is not to be trusted. They are unprofessional, condescending to women, the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing there and that they are not to be trusted with your rugs no matter how expensive or inexpensive they are. I wish I could have taken them to small claims court, but it has already used up too much of my time and energy. Thanks for listening and I hope this helps all who seek a professional to clean your precious rugs.
