Who is eligible to initiate claim for Angie’s Fair Price Guarantee?

Angie’s List members, except those with a Green Plan, who purchase services directly on the Angie’s List marketplace on or after October 19, 2015 are eligible.  Additionally, non-members who purchase services from Angieslist.com on or after October 19, 2015 and later join Angieslist.com are eligible to initiate a claim.

Can a member make multiple claims?

A member is prohibited from making multiple Fair Price Guarantee claims on the same service purchased.  Members can initiate a Fair Price Claim on each of their services purchased directly on the Angie’s List marketplace, but the refund option is only available for up to three (3) times per calendar year.   

What does “Fair Price Range” mean?

Angie’s List has years of transactional data on prices of offers and purchases for local services from which we have developed the “Fair Price Range”.  The Fair Price Range is defined as a price between 0 and the 75th percentile of all member-reported prices within the member’s local area for substantially similar service based on comparable materials by similar service providers.

If the “Fair Price Range” is based on a member’s local area, how is the “local area” determined?

Angie’s List tracks service provider offers and member’s purchases via ZIP codes and then groups ZIP codes into markets.  The purchase price will be compared to all member-reported purchase prices for substantially similar services in the market that you are purchasing in.

What services purchased from AngiesList.com are eligible for the Fair Price Guarantee?

All services purchased directly on the Angie’s List marketplace on or after October 19, 2015 are eligible, except Health-related services. LeedFeed, custom services (e.g., SNAPFix), and products are not eligible.

When does a claim need to be submitted?

Members must submit a claim within 30 days of the date of purchase AND before the services are performed. If the service provider has started performance of the qualified services, then the Fair Price Guarantee is no longer available.

What happens if a Fair Price Guarantee Claim is submitted after the claims deadline?

The claim would not be eligible for a cash refund.

How does a member initiate a claim?

A claim can be submitted using the link found at www.angieslist.com/guarantee. The following information will be required:

  1. Your purchase details (date of purchase, description of service, SKU and price)
  2. Your contact information
     

How long does the claim process take?

We’ll do our best to process your claim quickly, please expect one (1) business day to receive confirmation of the verification of your claim and thirty (30) days for a refund.

How much of a refund will a member receive?

Angie’s List will offer a member an alternative service at the Fair Price or refund the member the difference between the price the member paid and the 75th percentile price.

How will a member receive the cash refund?

Unless expressly requested otherwise, refunds will be paid to the credit card for which the member initially made his/her purchase.

Who is eligible to initiate a claim for Angie’s Service Quality Guarantee?

All members who joined Angieslist.com, except Basic or Green subscribers, who purchase services from the Angie’s List marketplace after October 19, 2015 are eligible. 

How can I determine what type of member I am?

Membership type can be determined under the ‘Manage My Account’ section of the ‘Account’ dropdown menu found on Angieslist.com. You can also reach out to our member support team at 888-888-LIST.

Can a member make multiple claims?

What does “Service Quality” mean?

Eligible members should be satisfied with the quality of services purchased on the Angie’s List marketplace.  We want eligible members to get the benefits of the offer they purchased.  Difficulty in scheduling, late start time, or a service provider’s slow responsiveness are not elements of service quality satisfaction. Examples of unsatisfactory services include:

  • The purchased service included 3 man-hours of housecleaning, but you only received 2 man-hours
  • The purchased service included aeration and overseeding, but no overseeding was completed

Examples of possible dissatisfaction that would not represent service quality:

  • It took multiple calls to service provider to get the services scheduled
  • Service provider arrived 30 minutes late
  • Service provider’s prices were too expensive

 

What services purchased from AngiesList.com are eligible for the Service Quality Guarantee?

All services (but not goods, materials, or products) purchased via Angieslist.com on or after October 19, 2015 are eligible, except Health-related services and custom services offered on SnapFix (custom SKUs).

When does a claim need to be submitted?

Members must submit claim within 30 days of substantial completion of services associated with qualifying purchase and in no event later than 120 days after purchase.

What happens if a Service Quality Guarantee Claim is submitted after the claims deadline?

The claim may be eligible for the Complaint Resolution Process, but a cash refund would be unavailable.

How does a member initiate a claim?

Once an eligible member has attempted to contact the service provider about addressing the service quality issue(s), waited 2 business days for a response,  and submitted a member review describing the service, a Service Quality Claim can be submitted using the link found at www.angieslist.com/guarantee-details:

  • Name
  • Purchase Confirmation Number
  • Description of Satisfaction Issue
  • Summary of Steps Take to Resolve Issue with Services Provider (if any)
  • Desired Resolution
  • Contact Information

When can I expect a refund?

We’ll do our best to process your claim quickly. Please expect 1 business day to receive confirmation of the verification of your claim. And, if your claim could not be resolved to your satisfaction through the Service Quality Guarantee process, please expect to receive a refund 30 business days after such determination.

How much of a refund will a member receive?

Angie’s List will offer refund the member up to the purchase price, up to $100,000. The Service Quality Guarantee does not cover any direct or indirect damages.

How will a member receive the cash refund?

Unless expressly requested otherwise, refunds will be paid to the credit card for which the member initially made his/her purchase.
