    PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW AND AVOID THIS BUSINESS. I normally do not leave a lot of reviews but felt compelled to try to help folks avoid my mistake of working with these folks. James, the owner of Imperial is one of the least professional business owners I have encountered. To keep this short and simple- James did give me a great price on annual lawn program. Overall I would give the actual work that he did a 5/10. Not great but not horrible. I think that he has some learning/research to do about products, lawn diseases/bugs as there is clear deficits and some of my neighbors yards that don't even have services have nicer looking yards- but that is not the point of this review. Many phone calls went unreturned both earlier in the season and here at the end. When I had a concern I would call and no one would call back until I would call a second or third time. I left a message on Oct 16 and Nov 18 to ask about bare spots and simply to ask when he was coming to do winter fertilizer. I got tired of no response, plus not being thrilled about the outcomes I have seen thus far (with full acknowledgement that I knew it wasn't going to be lush and beautiful after one treatment- James I am sure will respond to this review and say I was being unreasonable with too high of expectations- that is not the point of the review- the way he handles things and his professionalism is). When a customer calls about something- you should call them back, even if it is to give reassurance. Regardless, I got tired of unreturned calls and not knowing when/if they were going to come treat my lawn and simply, politely, asked for a refund. James called me back as quickly acting like a crazy man. He was yelling, cursing, and literally acting somewhat psychotic. For 5+ min I listened to a nonstop barrage of insults as he talked about "customers like me" and went on and on in a loud pressured and demeaning demeanor. I tried to get a word or two in trying to get him to calm down but it was not any use. Eventually I was able to say a few things why I was predominantly disappointed about their lack of communication etc. His response was that they take November off (and apparently shut their phones off and don't return calls)? And that I was being unreasonable for wanting a perfect yard. (Isn't that why people hire lawn companies?). It is absolutely inappropriate for a business owner to treat a customer the way he did on the phone. I had paid for the entire year of treatment and still had 3-4 treatments due to me, but I would rather lose that money than allow this man back on my property as I honestly don't trust that he wouldn't use lawn killer rather than fertilizer after how angry he was and the way he spoke to me. Do you want someone like that working on your lawn? All I did was politely ask for a partial refund for treatments he has not completed.

    Every thing went as planned. They arrived on time and went straight to work; planting azaleas and camellias. they also killed weeds growing near the garden site by spraying them with Round Up. I was satisfied with the work they did and plan to call them again.

    Brad is very reliable and responsive. He and his crew do outstanding work at a reasonable price. We have two properties at the moment and they are taking care of both. We would highly recommend them to anyone in need of lawn services.

    We've used them for 17 years.  They do all of our trimming, mowing and edging.  He is so reliable and does an outstanding job.  We've even been away when we had flash floods.  Our neighbor has called and said we had a rain storm and a lot of your mulch has been washed away.  My husband has gotten right in touch with him, we weren't even in town and he came out to put the backyard back together.  I just can't say enough good about him.  He's very reasonable.  He is just superb.  He also does the landscaping for our HOA.  I just think that he is very reasonable and just as reliable as can be.  The only time he's not here is if it's been too rainy and he knows it will be muddy.  He just does whatever needs doing.  I'd give him all "A's".

    It went amazing! Darrell and his team did a phenomenal job on aerating the yard, laying the seed and giving us instructions on how to care for it to ensure optimal results. Darrell responded to us in a timely fashion, and let us know almost a full hour in advance that he was on his way to provide our service. We will DEFINITELY hire Darrell and his team again for our lawn care needs.

    Called them and they said they provided the service requested. I was expecting them to notify me but they did the work and left. They answered my questions when I called and told me what they did. I told them I would call to get some additional work done in the future.

    I'd already signed up this year, 2017, for the 5 applications. The were unresponsive when I called them to set up the first appointment for this year. I spoke with someone initially on 1/31/17 and they told me they'd be out in two days. About 10 days went by and no one had shown up. I ended up cancelling the contract with them. This isn't the first time I've had issues with TruGreen. After one of the applications about two years ago two of my trees died. A manager came out and said it wasn't their fault and I wasn't compensated. I've since had several dead spots in my yard. I lost confidence in their service which is part of the reason I cancelled my contract with them.

    I was not very impressed with them. It was not a very good experience. We have had a pretty bad summer this year but they came out in the mid spring. They went checking to see until it was going to rain so what happened was they were killing my grass. They are good company but did not take that extra trouble and then whenever I tried to call them back they call me back but then they never bother to call back and try to get my business last and this year. Last year we had a lot of rain and so things worked out, but this year our because our weather was not so good. They didn't sort of follow through and they just presume that I am repeat customer that was just annoyed me. I told them I had a problem and left a message and they called me I wasn't available then. I called them back and now when was trying to renew for next year they just sent me a bill stating in case you don't sent it back, I called them back and said I have been trying to call you for the last 3 months and nobody has responded and try to follow up and I am not going to continue with you so they lost out on their business. I don't know how they are going to handle that. I am sure it is not a problem to them. They are pretty established in this neighborhood. They were professional company and I am not happy with being ignored. I would not use them again.

    I initially contacted New Garden because my lawn was in poor shape and I felt needed some loving care and also to give  my flower beds and borders a makeover. My contact person was Marc Campbell who came to look over the garden and arrange service. I explained very clearly that my main concern was the lawn and that I was happy to wait to have the landscaping and planting done at a better time of year. Marc insisted that this was a perfect time to plant and also explained that he would be able to bring my lawn back to good health. He even took me across the road to my neighbors perfect lawn and said that mine would be the same in a short time. Unfortunately, it transpired that New Garden sub contracts it lawn care to another company who were not involved in any of the discussions. My lawn was not given any priority as I had asked but New Garden was quite prompt in moving ahead with the landscaping and removing a lot of my shrubs and planting new ones in their place. The hand drawing I received from Marc re how my beds would look was extremely basic and also included prints of fully mature shrubs he thought would be good to add later on. All extremely confusing. I had foolishly signed a contract with New Garden which had separated the lawn care from the landscaping, this I did not fully comprehend at the time. After waiting patiently for them to work on my lawn and having only one visit for the initial reseeding. I asked the man who eventually came out to mow my lawn what was the plan and he looked utterly confused and said that New Garden used a sub contractor and I was down for the basic lawn care which was done at set times each year. I pointed out that my lawn was in need of far more than a monthly mow and he agreed and said that it was in very poor shape and suggested that I buy a better package from them as it needed to be reseeded again and this was not covered. Marc then became almost impossible to contact and when he did arrive at the door one afternoon unannounced was there to ask me to pay the remainder of my landscaping bill. His complete unconcern for his lack of openness and the mess I was left with (the shrubs had not thrived as they were planted in October/November and a number of them had just died) was hard to accept. I was then passed to the Accounts Dept and basically it became just a numbers game. My request for someone else from the company to come and review the work was ignored. Marc came to the house on a number of occasions apparently when I was not home and when we eventually did connect he again just asked for payment and did not have any excuse for his failure to deliver on any front.  I refused to pay for the lawn care part of the contract and after a great deal of unnecessary discussion this was removed from the bill. Ten shrubs had not survived the planting and I was given a rebate of $100 - completely insulting given that the original landscaping bill was in excess of $6000.00.  So basically, I paid a great deal of money for the beds to be weeded, mulch to be laid and some shrubs which are not thriving. Marc told me that he is really a nice guy and maybe he should have been more upfront about the sub contracting, you think? I understand that this review is quite different from the previous ones and those were  in essence the reason why I chose New Garden. It is, however, a true review and I am quite sure New Garden will say that I was just  unwilling to pay, I however, just wanted them to do the work they had been contracted to do but New Garden was not willing to work with me on any front. I am however quite willing for anyone to see the photographs I took at the time of my lawn and also to look at the shrubs etc., that were put in my beds by New Garden. I have all the paper work and correspondence. It was a horrible experience. Luckily I have found a new company who have worked with me and my lawn is much improved.

    It went okay. I couldn't tell any new grass coming up but there was a lot of holes in the area they did. I didn't pay more than the deal I purchased. I should have been there while they're working. I didn't see any grass come up so I don't know what kind of quality the seeds are. They were there and they went through the whole yard and aerated it. Their responsiveness was good.
