Computer Repair reviews in Winston Salem

  • Excellent, quick service and very low competitive price for repair. This service was competed at the INTREX Computers in Winston-Salem, NC. Also purchased wireless Microsoft keyboard with mouse; and, price lower than Best Buy. They have arrays of various computer/laptop supplies.

  • I have always been pleased with all of the folks who work at Geeks. Everyone is so pleasant and professional. My problems have always been solved. I am very grateful that I have "Geeks on Site" to help me when I have trouble. Linda Walser

  • My laptop wouldn't boot so I brought it to Scott. He was very kind & courteous and determined it was an issue with the power cord connections. It cost me just his flat hourly rate. It later occurred to me that if he weren't honest he could have easily overcharged me by claiming that it took him longer to solve the issue. But nope, he's very honest. And the personalized service really doesn't even compare to, say, Geek Squad, or somewhere else where you're just a number. I would unequivocally recommend Scott's services and I definitely know who to turn to for my future computer repair needs.
    - Carey G.
  • The guy I talked to on the phone lied to me. He said from what I told him that my computer had been hacked into. It wasn't. Microsoft's systems screwed up my password to my computer after I changed my password to my email. They made me pay some $400 in advance non-refundable before they'd send anyone out. I am sooo hating this One Drive thing that Microsoft and Google and YouTube and basically all the other huge corporate software developers are pushing on us. I DO NOT want all my accounts tied together but they give us no choice about it. And since you can't get technical help without getting on the internet, the customer is totally left hanging and getting ripped off by businesses like Geeks On Site.

  • I was referred to Apples 2 Apples from another Angie’s List provider. As we talked through my issue and clicked around the computer, Mike was upfront about his doubts whether we could recover the files (entirely through MY fault), and very thorough in his questioning about different avenues we might explore. In addition to using software he already had, he investigated other tools and obtained a new one that ended up being pretty useful. What he was able to recover was pretty fragmented, but it’s a starting point for me. I felt informed about my chances along the way. I’ll definitely be back for any future mishaps, and am better prepared now to handle them – I’ve got a backup drive arriving today!

  • Scott had done excellent work for me before, so I knew who to call.  I brought it to him the next day, and he cautioned me about possible expensive outcomes to include needing to buying a new one.  It is now up and running better than before 2 days later for $160.  I am so very pleased, and happy to recommend Scott for your computer repairs.  He is a nice guy, honest, straight forward and so easy to deal with.  His business is on my speed dial permanently.  Kudos, Great Scott!

  • Technician arrived promptly and immediately addressed issues regarding my new computer. Resolving these, we worked on some more specific problems I was having (being a new user of Windows 10).

A promised e-mail recapitulating our session has yet to arrive.

  • It went great!  Scott picked up my laptop, within an hour, he called back with the details and price.  I was able to pick it up and get back to work.
I am completely satisfied and will definitely call him again and recommend him.  Thank you Scott!
    - Annette S.
  • This repair went rather well. Scott Gillentine accepted payment of the part up front, ordered the part, and met with me to replace the keyboard. The replacement took a very short period of time, and he accepted the check for the labor after it was complete, clean, and tested. His language, mannerisms, and repair time were all very professional, and his schedule for the repair was reasonable and flexible. If I ran into a situation where I needed other future computer repairs, I would price Scott's work, again.
    - Christina S.
  • As a senior, it's great to have someone who will pick up and deliver my computer.  It was running very badly.  Initially, his goal was to optimize my computer but felt it did not require an intense clean up.  When that was not successful, he returned a second time, picked up the computer and returned it the same day.   One day service for computer repair.  Wow!!
