Auto Body Repair reviews in Winston Salem

    Flow Motors of Winston-Salem
The quality of the work was excellent. The customer service was terrible. Originally told the work would take 2 weeks. It ended up taking 8 weeks. Flow Audi never called with updates. Specific promises were not met. Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere for any product. I will never go back.

Repair was completed as expected. no surprises. It required leaving the car over night but no big deal since they had loaners. i was a bit taken back by their less than streamlined check-in and car loaner process. There's no queue moderator, not even a take a number system; just sort of left up to all the customers to decide who's next. Although i made the appointment the previous week, there was no pre-check in paperwork or advance prep for my appointment. I would have expected the loaner car ready (a la, Hertz or any other car rental) and any paperwork that could have been filled out in advance, even if it was by me, to have been done already. A few in line just showed up that day without prior notice but most of us had made the appointment in advance. At the point of making the appointment we could have been asked for data that would have made any of the processing on the appointment day faster. Instead we all just stood there as each person was processed, one at a time, until it was your turn. We could have even been filling out required paperwork while waiting but that wasn't an option. so you sit, waiting, hoping no one gets mad at those cutting the line, and when you decide it's your turn, then you start the form filling. Very slow, very inefficient, very 1960s.. Not really sure what the point of making an appointment was other than to make sure they could have fixed my car the day i brought it in, although the rental would have covered me for any extra days anyway. The work to the car was first rate.

Was looking for a repair shop for a college student who is far from home. Went to Ian's based on reviews. They were very professional and kind to my child (ok, young adult), explaining to him what needed to be done. They even fixed something else for him that was not on the initial repair list. Labor cost reasonable and they did a great job!

It went great! Couldn't tell where the scrape had been. Perfect blend with Acura paint! Paid $1000 less than estimate from dealer! The owner, Mr. Tom Ebert, is committed to quality service and work. It was a pleasure to get to know him. He met the schedule he proposed and presented my car thoroughly clean, inside and out!

I felt that they wanted to get rid of this small repair and since the car was bought from a California dealer they may have blown me off because of that. When I went to buy a new RAV4, Hight Point got that business.

The company owner, Bryan Hayhurst, was initially very responsive.  He scheduled an appointment for the day after I called and showed up close to when he said he would.  He walked us through what he would do and explained that he might not be able to get the dent out 100% because of where it was.  He said we still might see 1/8 of an inch of a little crease.  He gave us a price and said that if he had to drop the bumper, it would be $100+ more.  We agreed to the work.  He was very personable and pleasant initially.

However, midway through the job when we went to see how it was going, he was very rude.  When he finished the job, we were not satisfied.  The dent was "better", but still easily visible and clearly more than 1/8 of an inch.  When we explained we were not satisfied and asked what the options were, he became indignant and aggressive, accusing us of not being willing to pay him for the work and stating that he'd take us to small claims court.  We weren't objecting to pay, we just wanted him to come up with a plan to do a better job on the dent.  He was not interested in customer service AT ALL.  In addition, he charged us for "dropping the bumper" when he clearly did not.  He accessed the dent through the front headlight and did not have to remove the bumper. We had watched various steps of the process and the bumper was never removed or lowered.  however, he insisted he did and charged us the extra $100 for it.  It was a terrible experience.  I would definitely NOT recommend the company.  If you have an easy dent and he is able to remove it without problems, then you'll probably have a good experience.  But if you question him AT ALL or are not 100% satisfied, don't expect him to work with you.

    Carolina Dent Co
All of my expectations were exceeded.  Service was very professional, punctual, and courteous.

Jeff was knowledgeable and despite my skepticism, assured me he could repair my vehicle to the high standard I was seeking.

I was amazed when the repair was finished and the results were flawless!.

I would recommend Carolina Dent Company to anyone.

I brought my vehicle to the provider at the appointment time given. When I returned to pick up my car, the provider was finshed with the repair. The provider done an excellent job on the repair, and I was amazed at the pricing for the work, which was far lower than other competitors. I would definitely recommend the provider for any one needing dent repair, or paint damage.

I have been a loyal customer of Ian's all the way back to the time that "Ian" himself owned the shop near South Main in Winston-Salem. He focused primarily on British cars at the time. Prior to today I would have gone out of may way to recommend them to others and have done so on a number of occasions. The amount work I have given them over the years would not make me a big time customer, but prior to this instance I thought they were the kind of shop that was very customer oriented.
I took my wife's Honda Pilot to the shop a week ago today and the tech writer took all of the particulars and informed me that he would contact State Farm the next day. He even said that sometime they let him handle the estimate. Today he denied ever saying any of that. Based on that denial I simply went to Ian's and collected the car and took it to another body shop. The State Farm Adjuster was doing the estimate when I arrived and said he had heard about the matter an hour before he went to the shop to do the estimate.
I spoke to Ian's on a number of occasions and asked the young lady that answers the phone to call State Farm too. Which she said she did but the SF office denied that she did. I followed up regularly.
I am fed up with the SF claims process and the total lack of interest by Ian's body shop in providing good customer service. No one takes initiative or is in any way proactive.
The whole "like a good neighbor is mere puffery and does bear any resemblance to how things work in the real world."
I'm sure Ian's does not care whatsoever that I removed my car and took it elsewhere to have the repairs done.

I would definitely use them again, but I would process my claim differently. I asked about the difference and was told that it was "all worked out". I didn't say anything because the work on my car was impeccable and professional and done in a timely manner. Maybe I'm not understanding how these things are done, but I definitely will next time!
