Window Replacement reviews in Washington DC

    Supreme Aluminum Products
Supreme Aluminum's two installers were diligent and professional. They managed to remove my old hopper style, steel basement windows that were set in brick and mortar without damaging any of the bricks. They also meticulously installed the new insulated windows, and cleaned up all the dirt and debris caused by these window replacements.

    Window Nation Inc
The process from sales to installation was very easy. Window Nation's installation team, Santos and Jose, arrived when scheduled and began work immediately. While Santos removed the old windows Jose was working in the house placing protective barriers in the window openings. Both of these gentlemen were professional in their work. They were very courteous and friendly also. Santos answered several questions that I had before and after the work was complete. Window Nation called while the work was in progress to ensure that the firm was meeting our expectations. The firm called the following day to see if we had any questions or concerns about the windows. As a friend once said they under promised and over delivered. If/when we decide to have our remaining windows replaced, we will contact Window Nation.

    Marks-Woods Construction Services, LLC
We used Marks-Woods to do a full renovation of our first floor, which included structural changes, adding a bathroom, and re-doing a kitchen that had not been updated in 40 years. They were incredibly easy to work with, professional, and the results were worth every penny.

    Window Nation Inc
Very well -- the windows were a custom order so although a couple were sent back to the manufacturer before they were delivered to the house it was due to their very intense quality control inspections which prevented the delivery and install of potential minor flaws. The crew that installed were extremely efficient at their work, cleaned up as they worked and even answered questions if they were asked about how the process worked. My salesperson was extremely knowledgeable and thorough and readily available for any sales cycle questions. Also, the customer service department (particularly a young lady by the name of Shemika) who was very friendly and very quick to respond.

    JOT Home Repairs, LLC
This is my 2nd time using their services. Jenn and Tim provided excellent customer service. The estimates were provided quickly and the work scheduled immediately and completed just as quickly. Tim noted some needed additional repairs and addressed them at no additional cost. They also provide a 5% military discount. Every little bit helps!

    JCabido Remodeling
It went great. JCabido listened to our needs/wants, and helped us jointly come up with a solution. Where it was possible they provided more cost-effective solutions. We were concerned about lead paint on window sills/frames. I thought we needed to strip and repaint them. They suggested just using lead-blocker paint, which was quicker, cheaper, and addressed our concerns. The custom cabinet work they did was great. A year later and we're very happy. They also stayed on time and even ahead of time, which was crucial for us. Upgrades to work were offered but without pressure. We took some and left others, but never felt like we were being up-sold. They've also come back for other projects, some of which are more of a handyman nature (roof repair, door frame repair, water damage, dryer duct work, gutter repair/replacement). Whatever minor miscommunications we've had have been handled completely professionally. I'm very satisfied with JCabido and would hire them again when we need to.

    Adams Morgan Stained Glass
Mr Daniel Wolkoff was great. I think he knows everything about stained glass! I needed my glass cleaned and he did a perfect job. The piece had 2 small broken pieces which I thought I would have to live with - he suggested that he could replace the pieces and it would look like new. We agreed on a price and now my stained glass is in perfect condition! Very professional service and I learned a lot about stained glass and my piece in the process. A good experience. We are lucky to have Daniel in Washington.

    Kelemer Brothers
We had a great experience with the Kelemer Brothers. They listened to our needs and provided the type of windows that we wanted for a good price. They completed the work earlier than promised. They are very professional. We will definitely use their services again.

    Mole Construction Inc
Manuel and his crew professionally renovated the interior of our condominium. They took care to understand clearly the scope and quality of work that was expected and delivered in a timely manner. It was a pleasure to work with Manuel, he is considerate and communicative. I'm happy to highly recommend Mole Construction.

    Value Dry Waterproofing
I did not schedule an appointment for an estimate after Value Dry informed me by email that the estimator would not talk to me unless my husband was there. A rep then followed up with a call to say they would not cancel the appointment, but would charge me a $350 deposit if I was there alone. She hung up on me as I was explaining -- admittedly crossly, but with no offensive language -- why I would not do business with her firm. Email excerpt below: "Our estimate is valued at $350.00, however when meeting with all homeowners (including spouse, partner or responsible parties) involved in the property it becomes a Free estimate. Understanding that schedules are busy we run exact appointment times. Our goal is to design a solution that meets everyone's expectations and works with the budget. Unfortunately, If all parties are not available to meet the inspector, the inspector will call the office to reschedule the appointment for a more convenient time." I've been a homeowner for 23 years and have never had a contractor tell me that my spouse and I both had to be present simply to receive an estimate.
