    KingCaire Construction
Kingcaire is the best in the business! I have used a number of good contractors in the past, but I'd place Kingcaire at the very top of my list. Top notch professional with superb, in-depth knowledge and skills - and add honesty and fair dealings - this is Kingcaire. I have used this team for two very large projects with resounding success. I'd bet money on this team of professionals. I'd trust them with my grandmother they are son honest and sensitive to the needs and desires of the customer. If you need an excellent contractor that will listen to you, treat you well, not overcharge you or nickel and dime you - this is your guy. Look no further than Billy M. for your construction needs.

    AJ Construction & Development LLC
We couldn't be happier with the result! Not that the outcome was ever in doubt, as this was the fourth project on our house by AJ and his team. Prior work included a complete renovation of our kitchen in 2013, followed by new ceilings, walls, and lighting throughout the rest of the first floor, and restoration in the basement following some foundation work. We started with the third-floor bathroom first, so that we would have a nice, new bathroom to use when the construction would necessitate we vacate the second floor. The third-floor bathroom was expanded into space that had previously been occupied by a long-disused kitchenette. The remainder of the kitchenette was converted into a large walk-in closet with very sturdy custom shelves. AJ also finished an area of the third floor sitting room that had been left roughed-in by the roofer when the third floor was extended back about seven feet during a recent roof replacement. For good measure, we also has AJ prep and paint the entire third-floor sitting room and guest room and install all new recessed LED lighting to complete the beautification. Once the third floor was finished, the second-floor bathroom and spare bedroom were gutted and the separating wall removed. The entire space was stripped down to studs and joists, which included removal of the original clawfoot tub and breaking up and removing six inches of concrete between the floor joists that formed the entire floor of the 110-year-old bathroom. Once all of that was removed--along with all plumbing and electrical--new leveling joists were married to the original joists in floor and ceiling; same with the wall studs. The new spaces were framed, and all new plumbing and electrical service was run. The sub-floor in the shower was laid with a continuous slope toward the shower head end for the desired end drain opposite the sill-less, walk-in entrance. Two zones of Schluter floor heating were installed, with separate controls for the shower and vanity area/water closet. Large ceramic tiles were used for two of the shower walls; the third wall is a sheet of half-inch thick, acid-etched glass. Large ceramic tiles were also used for the floor of the entire space, minus the shower floor, which used two-inch shower floor tiles. A doorway was created between the bedroom and bath where there had never been one. Drywall, painting, installation of all cabinets and electrical and plumbing fixtures followed, along with installation of a pocket door for the water closet and sliding barn doors for the bedroom and both doors into the vanity and storage areas. Three new windows were installed, along with a sewing counter in the laundry area. AJ's highly skilled team drove the work, with sub-contractors brought in for plumbing, electrical, and tile installation. AJ's team always showed up on time, cleaned up at the end of each day, took meticulous care of the house in and around the work site, and delivered the highest quality, artisan-level work on a continuous basis. AJ was on-site daily, delivering supplies, checking on his team, and providing updates as needed to my wife and me. All subcontracted work was well-scoped and personally reviewed by AJ. Clear communication, attention to detail, and delivery of the highest-quality result are AJ's trademarks. We have never worked with another contractor who instills the level of confidence that we have in AJ and his team. And that's fine, because, at this point, I don't think we would ever work with anyone else.

    L&T Contractors Inc
L&T Contractors is a five star company. We have utilized their services three times: in 2014 for a major kitchen reno in College park, MD; in 2017 for stellar roof work and a custom gate at our home in NE DC and again for a 3-month gut job and new apartment/AirBnB in 2019. Honestly, their professionalism, competitive pricing, attention to detail and cleanliness goes unmatched. From the moment we started getting quotations, Wilder stuck out as the most responsive, communicative and knowledgeable. My wife and I are property managers and used to working through a range of small to large companies. We take our time to select those that we entrust access to our house and who can meet a deadline. L&T has consistently met all expectations from detailed contract development to major home reno, electrical and plumbing. You will only be wowed never disappointed with choosing L&T Contractors.

    AJ Construction & Development LLC
I recommend choosing AJ Construction and Development LLC for your next project because of the quality of his work, because he stays on budget and on time, and his professionalism. He does great work. When my architect looked at AJ's new structure, he said wow, that is sturdy! In addition, AJ's contract outlines the cost and schedule clearly and he sticks to both. AJ and all his sub-contractors act very professionally. He arrives when he says he will and communicates clearly. Also, I appreciated his commitment to the job. He found old window sills after I had mentioned once to him that I like that old style. But most importantly, I am just happy every time I step into my new kitchen or the new bathroom.

    Expert Handyman & Remodeling
We used Expert Handyman for a significant renovation to our condo. Our initial goal was to add a half bath by moving the washer/dryer to a different part of our home, to change some outdated track lighting to recessed fixtures, create a built in bookcase and custom closet, repair a bizarre ceiling cut out area in the kitchen, and paint the entire place, in addition to renovating the master bath. Emran gave our estimate promptly, and the amount of work and cost to add the half bath and all that it entailed made us scrap that part of the plan and go forward with everything else. Dan and Emran were a pleasure to work with, and the two workers here were extremely professional and nice. Dan was very straightforward when we asked questions, and at no point did we feel left out of the process. All in all it took about three weeks, and we moved out for a little over ten days since we only have the one bathroom. There are a couple of tiny things left to do - a shelf hasn't been delivered yet for install, and neither has a light, but everything else is perfectly complete. The best part? Laura, the cleaning woman that came to clean our place after the work was done. She cleaned my oven and inside my toaster and microwave! I have never had a cleaner home and was blown away. I'd recommend Expert Handyman to anyone. We've used them three times since October for little jobs, and their work is excellent. And - you get what you pay for, so it may have been a bit more that we wanted to spend, but I am confident that it's worth it.

    JCabido Remodeling
Bernard and his team were responsive, professional, and did a great job. They did not leave a mess behind, and put everything back in its place before they left. The wall was quality work and they explained everything and answered our questions along the way. I will definitely rely on them again in the future and appreciate all their hard work.

Gary Taylor Fine Art And Framing
Gary has done a few jobs for me over the years, and they have generally been quality. However, this past December, I brought him two Polaroid pictures that were very important to me, and as far as I can tell, he lost them. He tells me he doesn't know where they are, and he has not returned two phone messages to his business. Gary Taylor lost the valuable pictures that I asked him to frame. I am really sad about this, and I don't know what to do. As a framer, it seems like the one thing you are not supposed to do is lose your clients' property. Until my pictures are returned, I'm going to do everything I can to let people know not to go to this shop. If you care about the thing you are trying to get framed, do not take it to Gary. I don't know how he made it this long as a businessperson with this degree of carelessness.

The team was great. Very friendly, communicated clearly throughout the process and did a very nice job. I asked a lot of questions along the way which they answered thoroughly. They took the approximate drawings I had done and made them a reality. Very much appreciated!

    KingCaire Construction
This is the best general contractor - Billy, with whom I have had the pleasure of working. This is my third home renovation project in 15 years. Billy is a certified Master Carpenter, and it shows. I am looking forward to hiring his team again in the next two months for additional projects. Thanks to Angies list I was able to find this wonderful general contractor. Billy is my first choice for any construction project. He is the contractors contractor - he is THAT good.

    Advance Construction Concepts
This was my third time working with Al, and each install/remodel has been a great experience. This smaller job included hours of hanging mirrors, art, installing an overhead fixture, and installing large shelves. Al is timely, professional, and generous. 10/10 recommend Al and his team for a professional job at a reasonable price.
