House Painting reviews in Washington DC
Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results
Excellent. Prompt, courteous, and neat. All work was begun and completed as promised. Company and workers were extremely professional and conscientious.- SHARI W.
While the initial walkthrough with the owner was easy and pleasant the follow through left much to be desired.
I was told that the cost included stripping away the many layers of old paint from the doors, door frames, and window frames as or house is almost 100 years old and had many layers. None of this was done.
Instead a work group of three guys showed up and painted everything in one day with no priming, sanding, stripping, or prepping. As a result none of our closet doors close and our window and door frames look no better than they did before and it looks like many were not even painted. They also got the colored wall paint on the sides of the window/door frames and when we pointed this out to the works they tried to say that no one would notice and only after we insisted did they go back and paint over it in white.
While the walls looks great (how hard is it to paint walls anyway) the difficulty we now have closing doors outweighs any benefits. Also, due to the now many many layers of paint on our door frames when we can close them it pulls away more of the paint and looks terrible.
After we complained they sent out a new worker who fixed one of the closet doors but that was all.
All in all, not a good experience and I will go someplace else for our painting needs.
