Home Inspection reviews in Virginia Beach

My husband and I are currently in the process of selling our home. After going under contract in the beginning of Provider name locked. , we had an inspection done by Provider name locked. of Provider name locked. for our potential buyers. A list of concerns is completely normal post-home inspection and it's what we expected from owning and maintaining an older home; providing completely false information, however, and leaving our home damaged afterwards is totally unprofessional and offensive.
We are in the possession of detailed before and after photos from Provider name locked. 's inspection in which the property damage is notated to more than one area. From peeled caulk around MOST windows and doors to kicking up the paint/stain on our deck, our house was was treated poorly and NO efforts were made to put things back the way the were before after NO concerns were found in those areas.
In addition to property damage, the inspector estimated our roof to be TWENTY years old, which ABSOLUTELY flabbergasted my husband and I so much so that we paid a certified roofer to come inspect & write a letter letting us know his professional opinion on the age of the roof which was EIGHT years old. Nearly identical situation to our water heater, windows and so on..
I believe that Provider name locked. falsified information and TRASHED our home in order to gain the trust of the buyers so they would feel "safe" with him, leading to re-hiring him for their next potential home purchase and even referrals.
We are not the first to have a negative with this inspector specifically who's integrity is compromised. We are, however, the first to leave a review.. I hope this will change to increase awareness.
Buyers keep this in mind AND sellers beware- I would ask for a TOTALLY different inspector of your buyers choosing, of course.
I know as an individual who is looking to purchase a home after selling our current residence that I would want someone performing our inspection who is presenting HONEST issues and performing his/her tasks professionally.. this was absolutely not the case for our previous buyers.
We are extremely disappointed and when our jobs bring us back to this area we would NEVER use this company/inspector in the future.

What a team! Provider name locked. and his team are consummate professionals. They were on time, checked all components of the house, including the roof, attic and very difficult crawl space. They explained some issues as they went along. After the team completed their inspection, they pulled up the pictures that were taken and went through to explain what they had found. They answered all of my questions as they were going through the pictures in a manner that a Provider name locked. could understand. We had the final written report that afternoon. The report was easy to read and understand. Color coded so you knew what was a major issue (red), what was something to watch (blue) and what was in good condition (green). The informaiton in the report coincided with the actual pictures taken. The report was very thorough. A week later we had a question regarding the report, sent an email and had an immediate response. This company is a class act. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. Thank you Provider name locked. and team! We were impressed with your professionalism and expertise!!!

The owner of this company was a pleasure to work with and it all went smoothly Everything was explained to me clearly in detail in person at the time of the inspection and then I received a thorough PDF file with pictures.
