Because of medical problems, we had to ask Tom to completely reschedule the project and he was more than accommodating. At every point the work proceded on schedule after that. Tom was always available for questions and concerns, no matter how minor. All the subcontractors provided high quality products. Every member of Tom's team was professional and very interested in our specific needs. They were all extremely nice people to have met and had a chance to talk with. It was an exhausting project but I know we chose the right contractor to get us through it. I still love to walk into my kitchen and bathroom every day and admire the finished product.

    Brilliant glass
Very well. Mr Vargas and his wife were pleasant to deal with and helpful with my questions. The frameless shower door is lovely. In addition to the door, Mr Vargas made a glass for an antique picture and didn’t charge me for it. I would not hesitate to recommend this small business for anyone’s specialty glass needs.

Tom and his team provided a complete restoration of our kitchen (exclusive of replacing cabinets - but that actually made their job harder as existing needed to be leveled to accommodate counters) and the master bathroom, which was gutted and redone completely (except for toilet, vanities and sinks, which were retained and reinstalled). We also had some custom millwork done in several locations to enhance or correct defects in existing. For instance, they completed a custom sliding door over a niche in the bathroom - we provided the specs and had the door made and Tom's carpenter adapted the hanging system to accommodate as well as custom finishing the niche shelves and surround. Throughout the process, Tom communicated updates and managed craftsmen and painters to ensure efficient and mostly seamless execution We are happy not only with the quality of the work but the time and interest Tom paid in discussing the progress and adjusting to changes made as we identified more work as initial work progressed. The entire effort was about 8 weeks onsite (not counting addressing a few punch list items - which Tom had taken care of to our complete satisfaction). We are very happy with the result and are looking forward to have Tom and team work with us to do some work in the living and bedroom areas of the house in the near future. While Tom was not the lowest quote we received for the work, this is a definite example of getting what you pay for as far as both the quality of the product and the relative seamlessness of execution.

    Ace Home Improvements
I got bids from 5 contractors on my room addition.  I decided to go with Ace even though he wasn't the very lowest bid because the owner, Steve Lyon, took the time to explain the process to me and listened to what I had to say about what I was looking for.  His crew did an awesome job.  They picked up after themselves, which was important to me.  Mr. Lyon returned my calls in a timely manner.  He took care of a couple of problems that were found during construction that were not part of the original contract.  He suggested changes along the way that made the end result better.  I absolutely love my house now and am glad I made the decision to use Ace Home Improvements.  I have recommended this company to several friends and will continue to do so.

After a complete bath remodel, we wanted to finish the job with a frameless glass shower enclosure. We looked at an online source, the local big box stores and two local companies that came highly recommended, including Inner Space Systems. A total of three visits were required. First visit was to discuss options and take measurements for an estimate. Second visit was to obtain precise measurements for manufacture of the enclosure. Third visit was to install the new door. Everything went as planned. We selected a clear glass frameless door system with brushed nickel hardware (hinges, handle, mounting brackets). The first visit was professional and informative. The estimate they provided was significantly below an estimate obtained from another prominent glass provider. We selected a treated glass that resists water marks. The installation went smoothly, using their own installation staff who were very experienced and professional. The installation took about 1.5 hours. The entire process went smoothly. It was about 10 days from the precise measurements to the installation of the new enclosure (a door and side fixed side panel). It has been about 4 months since the installation and all is as advertised. The door remains crystal clear and we are pleased with it.

I renovate houses and sometimes have a need for someone who knows glass. I met Robert because I had a window with a blown seal. He made me another one that day while I waited. The very next day I needed some channel for a glass shower install. He was able to take care of that also. A few days later, we were still struggling with this shower install. Two of the smartest men I know could not get it to work and the house was going on the market that afternoon. Robert fixed it. He had it done the very next day. I am not suggesting that he can always do everything right away (nobody needs that kind of pressure!) but in my case there was very little turn around time and he charged me very fairly each time. I think he undercharged me for the 3rd thing. Anyway, really nice guy, knows his stuff. Don't let the outside of the building fool you. I will definitely be calling him again.

This is a fantastic company! Tom, Jr. was very open to some special requests I had regarding the new fixtures for the baths. He worked with me and gave me some good ideas regarding design and fixtures when I wasn't sure what to do. During the work, Tom, Jr. constantly asked me if I were pleased with the work and to point out any mistakes or things that needed to be fixed. His workmen laid down drop cloths every time they came to work in our house in order to protect our carpet. He finished the work on time. If there were delays in the work, the lost time was made up as soon as possible. The longer I use our new bathrooms the more pleased I am with them. I would definitely hire this company again.

I found his contact through the search in the Angie's list and contacted him since he had a great review as well as I liked the pictures of his work on his website. I had two other bids but I decided to choose him not only the amount of bid (actually, he was not the lowest one) but he was very creative and knowledgeable. He was very open to my needs and ideas. Also he was very patient with our slow decision process. He was very reachable and was always on time for the appointment. His laid out the plans and contract with detailed break down which was easy to understand. Every time we changed the plans or materials, he amended the contract and gave it to me so that both of us understood what was changed. He was open to use the material I chose and being flexible. Once the work was started, he and his crew worked pretty fast and all the work was done within three months (it took this much because  we did three projects in sequence as we did not want to vacate the house during the construction and the countertop installation slowed down the work). He and his finisher (for the doors) worked very hard to match the finish with my existing doors in the kitchen and other areas. After all the work was done, the bathrooms and hallway are so beautiful and I love it! I would call him for another bathroom in the near future.
