  • My fireplace worked just fine until Provider name locked.Provider name locked. —came to install a safety
    pilot/remote kit. That was nine months ago and it has never worked since. To
    begin, Provider name locked. misdiagnosed the problem. The first time I lit the fire, and every
    time thereafter, the fire poofed out. Provider name locked. said this was because the kit that he
    installed contained a propane orifice and my system needed a gas orifice. He
    said he had installed the propane one anyway because he hoped it would work.
    Since it didn’t, he sent me off to a local company to buy a gas orifice. But
    the people there identified the one I already had as a gas orifice! (They
    validated the correctness of this by matching the number on the orifice and with
    catalog numbers.) They then called Provider name locked. to tell him that I already had a gas
    orifice. Provider name locked. asked them to sell me a smaller one. When Provider name locked. installed the
    smaller one, not only did the fire poof shortly after it was lit, but it also
    whistled. By Provider name locked. ’s own admission, the whistle came because he had installed the
    wrong size pipe. He promised to install the correct size after his busy season.
    I waited. Then at the agreed upon time, I tried to reach him. For months, he
    didn’t respond to my calls or texts. Finally, I left a message saying that I would
    write a review about his poor work ethic if he didn’t fulfill his responsibility
    to get my system working again. He called me back immediately. First, he spouted
    out five blaming statements toward me—including that he is busy and I Provider name locked. ’t
    even need a fire in the summer, so I shouldn’t be upset that he doesn’t return
    my calls; AND that he had “bent over backward” to help me and it’s not his responsibility
    to fix a piece of junk (meaning a Home Depot product).  After accusing me, he agreed to keep his
    promise to change out the pipe. We set up an appointment. The appointed time
    came and went. Provider name locked. never showed up. Moreover, he didn’t even call to cancel. One
    more thing: In addition to being hired to install the safety pilot/remote kit,
    Provider name locked. was hired to clean my log set. We agreed on a set cost for each of these
    two things ahead of time. At the outset, Provider name locked. sent two of his workers instead of
    coming himself. When they were at my home, they offered to paint my firebox with
    no additional charge, saying that the
    painting takes only 10 minutes or so. I accepted. They then took my log set
    with them, deciding that it would be easier to work on it at their shop. It was
    Provider name locked. himself who came the second time. Suddenly, the price he quoted me for installing
    the kit and for cleaning the logs increased by $95. To use his words, the job was
    “more complex” than he thought it would be when he quoted a price. Although it
    seemed obvious that he was charging me to paint the firebox, I didn’t question
    him.  I simply included the extra fee when
    I wrote him a check. But when I handed the payment to Provider name locked. , he said he wanted
    and additional $40 for parts (including the wrong pipe that he installed). $325
    later, my fireplace is worse off than before I called Provider name locked. . And Provider name locked.
    Guy chooses to blame me, the customer. I say “unethical and incompetent” in
    regard to the service that Provider name locked. provided
    to me.

  • They were good. I had them clean the gas logs. They didn’t get all the black like my usual guys do but I’m not sure if it was due to inability or lack of experience. They did give me some extra embers. They did rearrange it and it looked nice.

  • They were very respectful but they couldn't do the chimney cap work I needed. Also, it was guaranteed that they would contact me by Tuesday and they didn't contact me until Wednesday.
