Gas Leak Repair reviews in Virginia Beach

I elected to call Provider name locked. because they were one of three recommended plumbers (on Angie's List and the BBB) who offered emergency service and had a staff large enough (in my opinion) to make me comfortable that they would and could complete the job before the Thanksgiving 2013 Holiday.
I agree with the other reviewers about the excellent customer service representatives. I worked with Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. and no one could have asked for more. These ladies went above and beyond when it came to communication and follow-up.
As regards cost, I can't really determine. Based on what I see posted by other reviewers, Atomic seems competitive, but I expected to pay more when I asked for emergency service. I'm not really sure what type of service I received, so can't say if I paid emergency service prices, or not (more on this below).
Mr. Provider name locked. was the technician who came to help me. He is one of the nicest and most professional people I have ever met. Living alone, I sometimes worry about letting people into my home. However, in a very short time, I felt completely comfortable letting him come in and out of my house, as needed, without keeping tabs on him....and he was there an unfortunate number of days.
I elected Atomic, because 1) they offered emergency service (and I was willing to pay for it), 2) because they have licenses in Gas Fitting and are members of professional associations connected to their occupation, 3) because they were recommended on Angie's List and on the Better Business Bureau's website, 4) because Atomic's customer service department gave me confidence in the company from the beginning 5) because when he arrived, it was very clear that Mr. Provider name locked. was more than competent to complete the job and was very professional, which gave me confidence and made me comfortable and 5) they offered emergency service (and I was willing to pay for it) and 6) because they offered emergency service and I...ok, you get it.
Based on the recommendation given to me, repair to the pipes was first attempted. This took several days and when that failed (no fault of Mr. Provider name locked. as the pipes were more than 30 years old), the pipes had to be replaced. By this time it was two days before Thanksgiving and no one was available to continue the work. While my call to President Provider name locked. was treated courteously, he didn't call be back after indicating he would look into it. Rather, he had Mr. Provider name locked. call me back. I thought that was discourteous, but can appreciate that Mr. Provider name locked. must be very busy. We had no heat, no hot water and no gas for cooking until after Thanksgiving which was as inconvenient as it sounds and remember how cold it was? Did I mention I was willing to pay for emergency service? I know I could have fired them and brought in someone else to complete the emergency repair, but I was already over a thousand dollars into the project by this point.
Once work began again, it was done very quickly , which was good because the Wednesday before Thanksgiving I found a note on my front door from the City of Virginia Beach indicating they were going to condemn my home and evict me if heating wasn't restored to the home within a given time frame. Fortunately, after I explained the problem, the VB Inspector was very kind and gave me another few days to have the work completed before he enforced the notice. I was also unhappy with the fact that the back of my heating a/c unit was left off, but the gas inspector put it back on for me. I was unhappy with Atomic not telling me about the hole they left in the side of my house from removing a pipe and I didn't appreciate the call asking where the payment was when I had placed the check for pick-up in my mailbox (along with some of the tools they left behind) at their request several days before.
However, the replacement work they did was excellent and I haven't had a problem since they finished. The repair work was not successful, thus the "B" rating on quality.
I wanted to use them again because of all the good work they do and when my water pipes broke a few days ago, I picked up the phone to call them. Then I hung up as I couldn't get past the fear that they would leave me without water for ten days as they did with my gas....but maybe in the future I'll try them again....

I received a call from our tenants at 7:40 am on Thanksgiving eve that the gas company had just left and shut all gas off to the house due to a leak at the fireplace valve. I called our normal HVAC company, no openings until Saturday. Our tenants had NO source of heat, no hot water....nearly every company said, "sorry...due to the holiday and the busy season, we are all booked up". I considered no heat and no hot water in a home with an infant an emergency. The response that I expected from at least ONE of the 12 contractors that I called that morning was, "we will have to charge a $$$ emergency, holiday charge". Not even that. Until I called Provider name locked. Resource. Provider name locked. , the owner came promptly at 1pm as planned. He troubleshot the lines and had to open up the wall and inspect. He removed and replaced vinyl siding. He spent nearly 3 hours there and charged 349.00. I've paid more for a one hour visit from our regular HVAC contractor. Needless to say, we have switched to "Provider name locked. ". I have severe anxiety when it is time to maintain or repair our rentals due to my experiences with contractors of all types. When it is time to start calling them, my blood pressure goes up! Good to know that there are good folks out there. Definitely a positive experience and it means even more being that it was so close to a major holiday. Thank you, thank you!

Overall, our experience with Provider name locked. has been exceptional because the company handled our jobs in a professional manner. They respected our time by always calling us back within a reasonable amount of time, and were always punctual when arriving for an estimate or job . They were affordable and always came in under other estimates. They respected our property and always left the area clean after the work was complete. And, the most important thing to us, they stand behind their work.- Patty W.
