Drywall Repair reviews in Virginia Beach

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Outstanding from start to finish. I had a complete bathroom renovation to include shower installation with tile, fixtures, shower door; bathroom floor leveled and tile installed; vanity installed; all new ceiling lights and all new fixtures to include moving electrical outlets, etc.; toilet replacement; painting and installation of new trim; and installation of towel rods, mirrors, etc. I could not have been more satisfied with their attention to detail, professionalism, and timeliness. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

  • Arrived on time. Nice fellows. Took precautions to keep dust down and contained, matched the "sand texture" of the wall and painted. Cleaned up the area very well. After a couple of days it was apparent that one coat of paint was not sufficient. Texted a picture of the repair. They called and someone was back the next day. Now looks great. No indication that: there had been a hole in the wall , it had been repaired and repainted.

  • They do excellent work! We needed new drywall, mudded, and swirled to match the existing ceiling. This section took only a couple of hours to complete. They took care to cover the floors and cleaned up afterwards too. I would highly recommend them!

  • Jack responded promptly and the steps were fixed within a few hours of my original contact with him. We own a beach cottage which is rented for vacations, and ASAP has been wonderful in responding to all our repair needs, from roof leaks, to deck repairs, to new doors, to bathroom vanity installation and more. Jack and all of the ASAP group are prompt, efficient and very professional. The price is always reasonable. ASAP is a gem!

  • I am writing to give the highest possible recommendation to contractor DON SANDERS of CAVALIER ENTERPRISES (757) 681 – 7851. Don has thirty years of experience in the field with jobs both big and small, and he brings absolute professionalism to the job. My husband Edward and I were very impressed with him, his crew, and the work that they did fixing and upgrading our home for us after a pipe exploded in the attic, flooding and ruining ceilings, walls, cabinets, and flooring. Don stood out from the other contractors who gave us quotes when we first began the process of recovering from the burst pipe. He was hands on, meticulously detailed, and quick in responding. He has a wealth of experience dealing with various insurance companies and emergency situations. His expert advice really helped us to maximize the amount of money we got from our insurance company with which to do the repairs. I want to tell one story which illustrates what a great guy Don is. He knew living with a section of our kitchen ceiling missing, exposing us to the cold early January drafts from the attic, was very upsetting to me. Before he did anything else, and before he even got one penny of money from us, he had his guys put up a temporary patch on that ceiling so that the house was warm and we weren’t exposed to the frigid attic anymore. That was extremely kind; most businessmen probably wouldn’t have thought and/or bothered to do that. It really meant a lot to us that he did. Don has a great personality and is a pleasure to work with. He possesses the unique ability to please the wife with high-end finishes but also keep the husband happy with price-busting ideas. He is honest about price ranges, time frames, etc. He has great taste and ideas for upgrades, but he does not try to “up-sale” his clients at all. He just listens to what you want and like and then presents you with options. Don sets the positive, professional, perfectionist tone for all his employees as well. His crew was unfailingly polite, helpful, tidy, and considerate. They took great pride in their work, as they should, because their work is beautiful. I respect them as talented artisans. They were extremely careful when they had to move our furniture and other possessions around. They were also very kind to our two dogs. When all was said and done, our home, which had been nice before, ended up being even more beautiful and functional. They installed perfect recessed lighting for us in several rooms as well as in-cabinet and under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen. The framers and sheetrock guys were meticulous about covering doorways, furniture, etc. to keep the dust from covering the rest of the home. The plasterers and painters did flawless work. The tile guys and flooring guys did such a nice job that my husband kept getting up in the middle of the night to look at it! The vertical herringbone pattern backsplashes in our kitchen are as beautiful as a work of art. All the crown moulding and chair railing they added in our den is perfect. We love every bit of the renovations and upgrades and would not change a thing! The transformation was more than worth having to live through the burst pipe! We would hire Don and his crew again in a heartbeat. In fact, we plan to hire them when we are ready to have our bathrooms gutted and redone. We know they will do a beautiful job and be wonderful to work with. Because of our great experience, my parents also intend to have their home renovated by Don and his crew. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone for any renovation/repair/upgrade/building project.

  • Well. Chris is co owner with his dad. Jack, the dad inquired of details of my concern as above thru the Angie’s List site. I felt that these folks really took an interest in my concern. There were additional phone calls and Chris set up an appointment and advised me of his expected arrival. After inspecting both inside and the outside of the area he was able to determine what the problem was. He climbed his ladder and did a proper examination of the area with my permission. Chris explained that the problem was a missing strip that redirected water and removed and replaced siding to make the repair. I liked that he walked me through his progress. I felt comfortable that he knew what he was doing. Chris was polite and considerate in answering questions the whole time. I did try to leave him to do his work.

  • As soon as he showed up it was clear he did not want to do the work. He even said (not an exact quote), "Let's see if what you want to do is even a big enough job for me to bother with." My realtor was stunned and suggested that even if he submitted an estimate I shouldn't use him.

  • I rarely write reviews and when I do, almost never negative in tone. Owning a small business myself, I understand how negative reviews can affect business. However you either decide to be a professional business and deliver what you promise or you don’t and suffer the results. The craftsmanship overall is very good (except as noted below). And, had Mark responded and corrected the issues, I would have been happy to recommend him. The job was originally scheduled to last about 3 weeks. It ended up taking several months. The reasons for the delay were various personal issues by Mark and Chris. A week or so after it was finally completed, one of the shower shelves separated from the wall and fell down and broke. I let Chris know immediately. This was in February time frame. Its is now August and they have not repaired it. Also, a few months after the job was completed, we noticed some of the shower floor tiles had come off. After numerous voice mails, emails and texts, Mark finally case out to look at the problems. He agreed he needed to repair them and said he would have Chris fix it the following week. That was over a month ago. Again numerous texts, emails and voice mails have gone un-answered. I can’t use my shower because of the missing tiles. So I’ve paid about $10k (including what I paid Mark and the material/hardware I purchased for him to install) only to have an unusable bathroom. I have no choice now but to hire somebody else to fix the problems. I’ll be sending Mark the bill.

  • Mike Johnson was very professional from our interview with him, through the contract negotiations, and during the remodeling process. The work exceeded my expectations. I would definitely hire Mr. Johnson again and will give his name out to others who want high quality, dependable work.
