    STAHL CABINETS
Have worked w/Bob Stahl since 2012 (Stahl Cabinets is now Neptune Kitchen and Bath), and was so pleased with his work that we've not used anyone else since. After some cosmetic improvements to our kitchen, powder room, and (ex) wet bar area in 2012, we decided in 2017 to upgrade our master bath, and the result was beyond our expectations (7 pix-) - could not be more pleased! We then, earlier this year/2019, decided to upgrade the guest bathroom (4 pix); convert the old brick/ceramic tile, non-working fireplace (1 pix; gas insert includes backlit/colored pebbles); bar area (1 pix, added wine racks); powder room vanity (1 pix); as well as change the kitchen cabinetry color (from polyurethane golden oak to white/peripheral cabinets, and mint green/island) (2 pix) ... again, outstanding results! Finally, we installed built-in shelving in the FROG (office), with a library ladder - quite pleased! Constant communication on both schedule and cost (on target, no surprises) - will not work with anyone else!. We recommend Neptune unconditionally!

    757 CRAWLS & Home Repair
SO THIS COMPANY SETS THE STANDARD FOR PROFESSIONALISM AND TIMELY HOME REPAIRS. I can not say enough good things about this company and the owner, Andrew Weir, and his hardworking team! They completed a TOTAL TRANSFORMATION of my kitchen, living room and bathroom area. Two banister type pillars with attached hand rails between our dining and living room were removed which made a more "open room" area. 12"x 24" large format tiles were installed in our kitchen with bright white grout. Our existing maple kitchen cabinets were painted with a cabinet white enamel based paint to match the grout. Brazilian oak laminate flooring (snap floating floor) was installed in our living room area. These guys take pride in their work and I appreciate their honesty. I enjoyed watching their progress each time they were here! Definitely a dynamic team of guys who have fun while they work! Andrew is a great business owner focused on high quality work and excellent customer service! 757 Crawls & Home Repair offers honesty and integrity which can be difficult to find with any handyman type service. Kudos to his team Sean, Jordan, Giorgio, John and Danielle! Thank you for doing a GREAT job! We will definitely be calling them back for more home projects! #whitekitchenlove

Healthy Home Kitchen & Bath LLC
In August t of 2016, we hired James Kennedy VII, aka Jim Kennedy, aka James Kennedy, aka,Coastal kitchens,Healthy Home Modifications, aka Healthy Homes Kitchen and Bath, aka Kennedy Renovations, aka Custom Countertops of Virginia, aka Healthy Home Mods, aka Token Homes, aka,Urban Iconyx,,Kennedy Cabinets,He took the money, installment after installment. He said his business partner was Joe Rowe, and Tupoc. (Crystal Arbonne)He took my counter top money, and never paid Rock Solid. He took my cabinet money, and never ordered 1/2 of the cabinets for the job. He kept sayig they were on back order. He then proceeded to steal cabinets, pull out spice rack, shelving, glass doors to cabinets, faucets sinks, hinges, doors, tile and trim, and all my cabinet pull out drawers. He never paid his tile installer, painter, plumber or electrician. They all stopped coming.I came home to him packing up his stuff, and my stuff into his truck. He didn't know I was coming home, or the entire place would have been cleaned out. I began taking stuff out of his truck, while he was putting things in. In retrospect, I should have called the police. But I was shocked, and could only think about getting what I could back out of his truck. He refused to return calls, moved from his current home and office location. He stole 50 thousand dollars , in deposits , not including all the material he removed from my home.I didn't even realize he had stolen both my kitchen sinks and bath sinks , and all my faucets, because he was so sneaky he removed them from my garage and resealed the EMPTY boxes. He has a good rating here, and references,( which I think he had set up) He has since done the same thing to the client after me,whom I had called to see if he had completed the job, because one of his workers gave me the clients phone, to prove they were still working on that job. Weeks later he walked off their job, stole their money, and items out of their kitchen as well. I found out he had been stealing my stuff, and using it at his next job, then keeping their money too. It is now 1 1/2 years later, I am without my money and still living without a kitchen and bathroom ,and laundry room. I have had another contractor try to figure out where to begin. The plumbing was not hooked up and so flooded my downstairs when it was finally connected. He installed my oven but never did the electric. So I had to have an electrician, remove my oven open the wall and run electricity. The list goes on. He never finished my deck, he left missing boards and steps! In addition, my tile was not completed, nor grouted. It is a nightmare and I am currently saving my money to try to rectify the total destruction ,and buy more of the things he had stolen from me.DO NOT USE THIS MAN OR HIS COMPANY.

    Nhance of Hampton Roads
Pretty well actually. Looks like I have a almost new mid-1980s kitchen (lots of oak). They missed doing a couple small areas along one baseboard (apparently I'm the only one who can see it). I wish they could have replaced a couple cabinet door hinges. A little pricey but it was a huge improvement. Giving them a B, because I cannot give them a B+ or A-.

Harrison Painting and Home Services LLC
It was great, Jacob exceeded my expectations. I originally hired him just to repaint my kitchen cabinets because I was in the process of doing a remodel. He ended up doing an excellent job on my cabinets so after he was done I asked him to do some trim touch ups in my master bedroom!! He was very professional and he managed time so well. I thought the job would take a couple of weeks but he finished in 3 days. I will definitely hire him again for any further work I need done, I was over impressed!

I had contacted  five other contractors before finding Barry and his stellar team. Two contractors were no shows and three showed but did not return with an estimate, even after several calls to them. I knew that the job would be challenging and would require a skilled architect and contractor. While where the pool sat was level ground, the ground surrounding it was not, it provided very difficult elevation changes. Additionally the deck had to marry to the house and Florida room elevations, which were also different. I also wanted the deck boards to carry over the pool edge all around the pool - an oval pool within a disparate geometric deck (probably why the other contractors ran away)

Barry arrived on time to provide an estimate, made some initial measurements, addressed material requirements, number of gates, steps, access points, etc. Provided a rough order of magnitude based on estimated square footage and asked if he could have his architect come out. I agreed and he said he would get back to me. Barry returned the following day with the architect, three days after that we had plans and a contract. Two days after that we had a permit, then 3 days later the material was delivered and with it a crew that I can say based on experience before and after the job is in all likely hood the best  in the area (not my first contracting rodeo in Virginia Beach). Barry's "A" team is compromised of his son Chase, Fanz Roman and Gilder Roman. The crew was polite, attentive and most importantly WORKED from the time they arrived till the time they departed.

I know Barry had other jobs ongoing in parallel with mine; but Barry showed up regularly to both work alongside his crew and provide supervision for the challenging compound miters (though little to no supervision was needed-they all have mad carpentry skills!). Barry did have to absent himself for a job up north for a day or two; but the team never missed a beat and Barry called me to ensure I was having no issues. One of Barry's attributes that I really appreciated, other than his knowledge and experience, was his responsiveness, whether through email or phone he always answered immediately. I also appreciated that we worked as a team. If there was an issue it was resolved quickly. As an example, it became apparent that the planned deck pattern would not work, though it looked good on paper. Fanz and Gilder designed a solution, laid it out for approval, The result  was perfect!

I have two more projects I am saving for. I am not even going to waste my time chasing after other contractors. Barry's price is within the market, his work ethic exemplary and he delivers on his promise, the jobs will be his. I want it right, so I will wait for his availability.

Mr Barry was professional at all times this company is knowledgeable of what can be done by city side. They in fact had to go with me to city council for approval. They appeared to be knowledgeable in speaking to the council. Project was approved and all inspection were done complete and finalized. My family is enjoying the additional space.

Office tour earned Val calls for other agent's properties for estimates. The office agents were impressed.
Home sold in 60 days in a slowing market 29! I later met the same owners when I sold a home to buyers across the street 2012.
I waved and said I had been the listing Realtor. I asked how they liked the home. I told them I had done the renovations prior to listing and asked if they liked what they got. They said they loved it! So that was a tribute to Val's work.

When I decided to update my kitchen cabinets. I immediately thought of Vitaly of Restoration Guild. He had previously restored vintage furniture for me, and the results were outstanding. After calling for advice and estimates on the cabinets, Vitaly responded promptly and we discussed possible treatments for my 1950's era knotty pine cabinets. These cabinets had been covered wth many coats of various types of finish and had several areas where the wood was damaged. I wanted a drastic change which would lighten the kitchen. We discussed options and narrowed it down to either a light natural finish or a whitewashed finish. Vitaly actually took one of the cabinet doors to his workshop and sanded it to the bare wood. He put a natural finish on one side and the whitewash on the other. The results of both were amazing and I chose the whitewash. We discussed the process, repairing the damaged areas, and making doors for the island which had open shelves. His price was reasonable and in line with other estimates. I knew I would be comfortable with Vitaly and his workers being in my home.
The process began with sanding to the bare wood. Doors, drawers, and molding were taken to the workshop and the frames were sanded here with very little residue or mess. Watching Vitaly work on the multiple coats of whitewash and glaze showed me that he was a true artist. Every step was carefully done, and I was consulted during the many stages to make sure that I was happy with the resulting color and effects. Vitaly was very concerned that the new doors he built perfectly matched the original style of the cabinets. He was even able to find matching vintage hardware. I am totally happy with my cabinets. They are just what I envisioned. I have the highest regard for the work of Restoration Guild and would highly recommend them to anyone. The professionalism, talent, and attitude make Restoration Guild an outstanding business. Vitaly is totally concerned with achieving the results desired and pleasing the client. He is a very talented craftsman and artist. I definitely plan to use him for future projects.

They told me in January that they would show me samples of the molding but I still haven't seen anything after several promises. Was originally quoted $800, but because the wood needed to be maple, it went up to $1301.  I spoke with them on 2/23 and they said it would be ordered the following day.  I called twice today to determine what was going on and they said the materials weren't ordered until March 11 and wouldn't be in until 3/27. The salesman, Kevin Anderson, has also not returned a couple of phone calls that I've made during the process.  Received a call from Larry asking them to proceed with the work and after a long conversation, agreed to take the $205 Investigative fee off.  On another call from Dan, he informed me the materials would not be available until April 2 or 3.  This would make almost 3 months since they first came to my home Jan. 9.  Was informed Friday they would do the work Monday, April 6.  Received a phone call that morning stating they wouldn't be picking up the materials until that afternoon.  They called today (April 6 at 8:30) saying they would be there about 10:00 they arrived about 10:30.  The work was done and it is a great improvement over the crown molding and looks very nice.  They only took $50 off the total price.  I was just happy to have it finally completed.
