"I have used C&R for many alterations from hems, to leather jacket sleeves, to fitting evening gowns. Van is always great, she not only" provides great service at an extremely reasonable price, but she also has a good eye for making alterations that can help your off the rack clothes be a bit more modern (especially boring work clothes) and/or suitable for your body type. Thus, when my wedding gown needed to be altered, she was my only choice. I should start by saying that after well over a year of being engaged, I was up in the air about a dress until maybe 6 weeks before the wedding. Plus, we were getting married in , so I was having the wedding luggage shipped about two weeks ahead of the wedding date. When I walked in the door with my dress she had less than 4 weeks to work with and, if you know anything about wedding dress fittings, you know that is the equivalent of saying "I need it tomorrow". My dress was a Tadashi gown from where the bodice was lace and the skirt portion was made of tons of raw organza "strips". This gave the dress an incredibly ethereal quality, but also made it impossible to hem from the bottom. Van had to remove the bodice from the skirt in order to cut it from the top and also hem the liner separately. I also needed the strapless bodice to have a for support. During the first fitting, Van, as always, also had some recommendations such as changing the back that was straight across into a V and shortening the shrug for a more youthful and current style and adding an applique to the waist to create the illusion of a more narrow waist. To say that she worked tirelessly on the dress would be an understatement. I came back for fittings once a week and she made me walk back and forth until she was satisfied that the length was perfect. I couldn't find an applique until the last minute (thank goodness for Etsy), but she managed to get it all done plus added small touches like hooks on the neck of the for the shrug (so it wouldn't shift when walking). I was so appreciative of how much she did in such a short timeframe and everything she did turned out fantastic - the dress looked like it had been custom made for me! I trust Van at C&R and will continue to use her for all of my alteration needs.

"Have used them to alter newly purchased unfinished dress slacks for several years. Always excellent results for a very reasonable price. Recently had them do a repair" to the pocket of a suit jacket, again, with excellent results

  • I've used Provider name locked. for a few years for alterations and clothing repairs. They do absolutely outstanding work, are dependable, very knowledgeable, very friendly and very reasonable. Clothing is always finished when they tell it's going to be. I won't go to anybody else.
