The cuts are adequate but not great.  I am always concerned about the safety of my pets because they put them on a short leash on a shelf. They do appointments and they are usually right on time!

Excellent! They all look great and are totally happy campers....even the kitty cats. One of the cats has a matting problem and the other too fluffy are his bottom so needs regular "hygiene" clips. Both come home happy and calm.
The added benefit for me is they are located just a few blocks away so very convenient.
Lovely clean location and pleasant proprietors and staff!

I absolutely love Jannette.  She was straight forward with me, took care of our dogs as thought they were her own.  She took an hour before ever grooming my babies and got to know them first.  Then she groomed them, and at no time did I feel they were in harms way.  When she was done she called me in plenty of time to drive from my home to her without my babies being having to wait.  And then again Jannette took time afterwards to visit with me and explain how she groomed the dogs and any issues she found.  I am so impressed and will be returning regularly!

I have a rough coat collie and we live in the country, so his fur can become quite a mess.  They have always make my dog look fabulous when they are done.  This can entail working for hours on his coat.  They bath him, trim his nails, brush his coat out and blow dry.  He is a new dog when they are done.  The last time I took our dog in he was full of spear grass.  They took the time to pick it out and trim him up so he wouldn't get as much caught in his fur.
I have called other groomers in the area and they wanted to charge me double what Man's Best Friend does.
The ladies can sometimes seem a little gruff on the phone or in person, but never rude.  And they have always had the best needs of my dog in mind.  I can't recommend them enough.
They are a fabulous group of ladies and they do a great job!

Asked if the owners worked on Saturdays and I was barked at, and quot; We have families too you know.and quot; Wow! Customer service and politeness works for me. We did try our dog there after Susan left but he became once again neurotic about an injured foot. De-sensitivity training had to begin all over again!

Our three-legged dog had been going there for haircuts for some time. The dog was known to run off from my then boyfriend and run down the block rather than going inside. We decided that I would pick up the dog next time in order to see just how and quot;Four Pawsand quot; handled things with this special needs dog.
I entered the building and was not greeted at all for several minutes. All employees seemed to be busy with other animals. As I looked around I expected to see some hair but not the large amount that it appears was left from all day. Our dog was leashed to a cubicle and forced to and quot;sitand quot; in an upright position. I had to assume he was there the entire time he was not being worked on. I did not see any water bowls for him or any other dogs.
Again, let me reiterate my dog has only 3 legs and is not capable of sitting upright for more than a couple of minutes at a time. The majority of the time he needs to lie down.
I spoke to the groomer about the special needs and they and quot;assuredand quot; me that this was not how he spent his day. The dog literally ran out of there and beat me to the car.
The next visit I tried to bribe the dog to go in with a cheeseburger. He spit it out at me
I am a firm believer in listening to your children about strangers. Children and dogs have an intuition about people. If you can not bribe the dog with a cheese burger to go into a building, than you must believe something bad has happened to them there.

Our dog goes there every week. She is a Havanese, and right now she is in full coat. She has long hair and a double coat. They comb her out so she doesn't get mats. The cat goes every 6 weeks. We did take two cats there, and we had them cut into a lion cut. Their head and shoulders are full, they shave their back, leave their legs alone, and leave a puff of furr on the tip of their tail. It stopped the furrballs and shedding. They bathe the dog and comb her every week, and then once in a while they trim her. Our cat doesn't object to baths. They were really gentle with our cat, Abby, who had arthritis. That was one of the reasons I took her there. They don't abuse or hurt them. They know them. They don't want the animal to see their owner while they are being groomed.

I've struggled to find someone who grooms him without making him look like a lion. Sounds bad but it's true. Four paws was able to know exactly what I was talking about and NOT do that. I'll go to them again in the future. They have a good little set up in there and the staff seems to be really pet-loving.

Our groomer, Susan, has been with them for quite awhile and she takes very good care of my pets, and has even waited after ours for me if I am running late. She is very kind, open, and flexible. My dogs always look great.

    K9 Kennels
DISGUSTING!! I am thoroughly disappointed with this boarding facility. This is not the first time I've used this business for animal boarding but it certainly will be the last! While making the reservation via phone was pleasant, the service was horrible. I understand that to some people pets are of a lower class and should be animals. However, I think that if a person is willing to pay good money for a business to care for a pet, then more than average care should be taken. I dropped off my 2 dogs and 1 diabetic cat for 3 nights. When I arrived a man who I assumed worked there didn't;t even greet us pleasantly. HE took the care instructions [again] that had already been provided. Grabbed the dog leashed away from me and took the dogs straight to a kennel, by which are WAY TO SMALL for 2 dogs. When he returned, I asked if I could take a few toys and blankets back, he hesitated, but I walked to the back anyway. As I ventured past oversized dogs in small pens, I was appalled. Now, if I hadn't had a plane to catch 1.5 hrs away, I would have certainly turned right around and taken my pets home. I then proceeded to give my dogs 3 toys, of which 0 were given back when asked. When I returned back up front, I informed then gentleman that the senior dog had hip issues and needed a blanket, he would not allow me to provide one, but stated they would give her one.

I then turned to hand over my diabetic cat with her special food and insulin. As I proceeded to filely a female back to the 'cat room' when the woman opened the door a stench of dirty litterboxes and what seemed like to be 100 flies hit me like a brick wall. It was thoroughly disgusting! There were 2 cats running the room openly and dirty dished all over the counter. I was very hesitant when I saw the condition of the room, however the kennel that my cat went into seemed to be clean.

When I picked the pets up, the exterior of the facility smelled horrible because they were storing feces in a bin right outside the front door. When my dogs were brought to me I detected that something was wrong, they weren't their normal hyper selves and just wanted to bee-line for the door I asked for the toys, the personnel couldn't find any toys in the kennel or outside. They then brought the cat to me and then told me that instead of giving the cat her dry diabetic cat food, they gave her a wet food they had on hand because they wanted her to eat everything all at once instead of a few kernels at a time. I was and still am very upset about this. If they thought it was a problem, they should have called me first, isn't that why they take phone numbers?!?!

I don't know if they are under new management or if there are new employees, but this facility has gone way down hill.
In the end, I am 1 week out from the boarding and I have 2 dogs with a slight cough and runny nose and 1 cat with a upper res. infection and diarrhea. I gave this boarding facility a 'D' only because I at least got my pets back alive. I think I overpaid for the unhealthy care and services of my 3 pets who are members of my family.
