The selection process our counter top and back splash went really well.  They were very helpful providing insight as to how things would look and were very knowledgeable about the products and process.  We received a quote and made an initial down payment of half the cost.  The removal of existing materials was smooth and the team performing the work were very pleasant and helpful in answering questions.  Later that morning after the existing materials were removed, the countertop and new sink were installed.  Our house was a bit of a challenge for them given the lower cabinets were not level, but they did a very good job leveling it out as best they could (much better than the old counter tops for sure)!  The counter top and sink had to dry before plumbing could be completed.  The plumbing and new faucet as well as back splash were next in the process.  Again, there was a challenge with the back splash given the cabinets were not level even though the counter tops had improved quite a bit (in regards to being level). They did such a great job with the challenge of how to do the back splash given it was not level and it turned out really well.  We had to order some extra accent tile to go behind the stove and I actually think it looks much better like that.  All together we are very, very happy with everything Keith's Kitchens did for our kitchen.  The crown molding was the last touch to finish it off and really set it apart.  I would recommend the team at Keith's Kitchen to anyone and plan on using them again for any future needs I have.

All work was performed by one of Keith's Kitchens employees named Larry.  He is a top-notch carpenter.  We has everything in the old kitchen removed and stripped the kitchen clean, even taking out an old pantry, soffits on two walls, and the flooring down to the sub-floor (We contracted separately for a hardwood floor installer to put in the new hardwood flooring which occurred before Keith's Kitchen started any installation of new cabinets or appliances).   Keith's Kitchen started within a week of the projected starting date (mid July 2012) and finished within the 8-10 week original projected time-frame by the end of August 2012.  Existing cabinets were relocated to a downstairs laundry room by the contractor.  In addition, the refrigerator was moved from the kitchen to the garage and hooked up with water for the ice-maker.  We were fortunate to be able to have a 2nd stove in the basement and were able to eat in throughout the kitchen remodel!      Larry installed the new cabinets both wall and bases after drywall was completed from the removal of soffit and the pantry.  He plumbed the new faucet and dishwasher areas, ran electric for all new lighting, electric outlets, the stove, frig, etc.  Larry is a jack of all trades - a master electrician, master plumber, and master carpenter all rolled into one.  Keith's Kitchen is lucky to have such a quality employee.  Larry showed up each day at 7:30 and worked through till 3:30.  He cleaned up at the end of every day, making the home livable during the evenings.  He hung plastic so as to not spread dust throughout the house, and was great with our 2 large mostly indoor Samoyeds.      There were a couple of cabinets that needed to be replaced as they had imperfections.  Larry reported the needed replacements and Keith's Kitchens promptly replaced them before the job was completed.  We elected to do the painting so as to save costs.  Larry worked with us to give us ample time to paint during the evenings and even brought baseboards several days in advance so that we could paint them at a leisurely pace.  We were able to prime and paint the room in one night, so work could continue.      The counter tops took about a week to come in after they were measured for and ordered and in the interim, the final remaining touches were completed.      After the kitchen was completed, there was one cabinet door hinge that broke.  Keith's Kitchens ordered an entire new door and hardware which was installed by Larry a couple of weeks later.  We have been very happy with the results of the new kitchen!

One young man, Jerry, did all the work except mounting the glass for the shower.  He showed up every day on time, usually took a half hour for lunch, and often stayed late in the evening to complete a phase of the job.  He was there every day until the job was finished, except for a two-week hiatus while the glass was being prepared. Jerry immediately found the problem with the malfunctioning tub:  the previous remodelers had not left an access panel, so we could not see that the tub was unplugged from the electrical source.  So that was an easy fix.  The rest of Jerry's work was done efficiently and professionally.  Every evening before he left the job, he did a thorough cleanup. Altogether, Keith's Kitchens did a very nice job.

We recently purchased Quartz countertops, undermount stainless steel sink, and Delta faucet from Keith's Kitchens.  They were very helpful in explaining the different styles and products from which to choose.  We selected Quartz for it's ease of care and durability.  The company who manufactured the countertops sent their representative to get precise measurements of our counters.  He was very professional, friendly and did a fantastic job.  After the measurements were submitted, we were given an installation date and time.  The three men who did the install were punctual, professional, friendly and neat.  The were hisptanic, however, one of them spoke English and the other two spoke broken English.  We had no problem with communication.  The following day, the plumber arrived (on schedule) to install the faucet and any necessary new plumbing, relocate our garbage disposal and reconnect our dishwasher.  He was extremely knowledgeable and professional.  He arrived on time, worked diligently and when the job was complete, he cleaned up completely....leaving his work area spotless.  We could not have been more pleased.  Also, the company who fabricates the countertops currently offers a 12 month same as cash policy.  This, for us, was very helpful.  We can make regular payments over the next year without paying any interest when paid in full.  We would highly recomment Keith's Kitchen and their staff.   They were very helpful and personable.  Any questions we had were answered promptly and professionally.

    Origins Granite
It went well considering you do not see the actual slab before purchase.  I understand why, but it is hard to get the exact granite when getting exotic granites.  They will ship some down for you to actually look at and I recommend that. After I saw the slab in person, I was extremely happy.   I like how they work with you and get you a layout of what it will look like with the slab you choose.  There is a two week turn around time, which was fine with us, as we were waiting for our cabinets to be installed. Jennifer was so helpful and didn't mind every time we checked in to see how things were going. She made you feel like she was glad to work with you, unlike the big box stores.  The installers were very professional and made sure everything was done perfectly.  The lead installer was also very knowledgeable.  They arrived at the time promised.  We paid 4200.00 for the granite and 450.00 for a chefs sink.  I love both the new granite and the sink and would highly recommend them.

    Origins Granite
This review is for the new store that Origins Granite has opened in Charleston WV.  We bought our countertops there in November. The guy who came to measure was 1.5 -2 hours late because the company has his appointments scheduled too close together and they don't  allow for driving time. We had to call to make sure he was still even coming.  The company here uses their guy from Maryland to do the measuring. Then the counter tops were to be installed on Thursday 12/3/15 @ 9:00 AM.  We received a call at 8:10 AM that same day stating they were not coming after all. First we were told that the truck had broken down and then we were told that they didn't even have the granite in yet.  My husband teaches school at a Vocational Trade school so for him to get off work is a pretty big ordeal. He complained and then we received a call from the Maryland office that the installers had been asked to work on Sunday to put in the granite so no more time off work would be needed.  We agreed and it was set for Sunday at 9:00 AM again.  You guessed it - 9:00 AM came and went with no installers and no call.  Finally a little after 10:00 AM we called and left a message because of course the store is closed.  Shortly afterwards a call from the installers was received.  They had just been sent the email earlier that morning about the install and had not been told that it was to be at 9:00 AM.  They came at 11:30 only to temporary set the granite in place because their truck was still broken down and they did not have any of their tools (still in the broken down truck) to properly install the granite.  They are supposed to come back on Tuesday to properly install the counter tops but time will tell if they really do on that day or not because you see we aren't on the Tuesday schedule.  Everyone kept talking about the manager, Jennifer, who as of yesterday we had NEVER heard from not even to apologize for all the errors and inconvenience.  The price was great for granite but I am now questioning the warranty because of the poor service and lack of proper and accurate communication.  I would recommend them at all.  Pay a little more from a more established and reputable company.
