    When I showed the opticians my broken glasses they were skeptical about being able to fix them, but they actually called my previous optician and the maker of the frames to see about getting pieces to repair the break. There was no way to fix the break so I needed new glasses. Since it had been a while since my last eye exam, they wanted to have the eye doctor give me an exam before we ordered new glasses. It took about 10 days before I could get an appointment and I managed to wear the broken glasses with one earpiece. The exam was probably the very best eye exam I have ever had. The doctor was thorough, explained what he was doing and the results, and answered my questions very completely. I was definitely impressed. The technician who helped me pick out frames and order the glasses was also very knowledgeable. She was patient as I tried on lots of frames several times and explained clearly about the different choices of lenses for my strong prescription. When I had made my choices, she discovered that for the frames I had chosen, my size was backordered. They had a solution for that, too. When the glasses arrived in about a week, they called me immediately so I could pick them up as soon as possible. So now I have new, unbroken glasses which are well-fitting and very user friendly. Except for waiting to get my appointment with the doctor and waiting for the ordered glasses to arrive (neither of which is their fault), I was very happy with my visits to Wheeling Eye Care Center.

    After receiving my exam and progressive bifocal glasses, I noticed halos around small lights and reading material, such as magazines and newspapers.  I returned to her office to ask about my blurry vision and to my surprise she got short with me and said "You have to learn to use your glasses correctly,"  so I went to another optomotrist to look at my new glasses and he told me that my prescription did not line up with my face. So I went back a third time to try and explain the problem with my glasses and once again, Dr. Melgary got short with me and acted as if it was my fault and would not address the problem.
