Mike and his crew were courteous and professional. We contracted with Mike for a skylight replacement. His expertise is obvious when he discusses the project that needs to be done. The work was completed and went very well. Mike lives up to his word and his contract. The skylight replacement was done professionally with little impact on adjacent areas. We would definitely hire Mike again!

Good service with careful work and cleanup. Minimized the mess from the old roof removal. Work was spread out over two weeks but contractor kept informing details of the work schedule and coordinated with the customer.

I received an immediate response from Mike. Although he stated that he was busy with other jobs, he offered to come to my hone to help me. He told me that he had experience in metal roofs, he had never worked with a particular manufacture of my shingle metal roof. I was contacted by a highly rated Angie's List roofer who had installed my particular type of roof and who would be available immediately. Mike's honesty cost him this job but gained my respect by doing right by me and my family. I wii be contacting Kinsley Construction for future dry walling and other projects. And I will be recommending him to anyone needing a contractor.

Buying a new home with a bad roof, we had a lot of needs that required flexibility and understanding. Mr Kinsley responded quickly to all requests and maintained flexibility and understanding that you just can't seem to find anymore. We obtained quotes from three businesses and were pleased to find Kinsley Constructions had the lowest price. The work was done on time. (Due to bank requirements we actually had to ask them to adhere to a deadline). Clean up was extraordinary. They even agreed to change our skylight on short notice with no hassle. Will use again for work inside the house and would highly recommend without reservation for all roofing needs!

We touched base a couple times in the weeks leading up to our scheduled start date of August 18. I had a scheduled Drs. Appointment on the same day we had scheduled as the start day, so I asked Doug to meet me on the Saturday before and he did. He didn't want it, but I asked him if he would accept 1/2 payment down then instead of Monday. On that Monday morning the crew showed up promptly at 7:00 am. I went to my scheduled appointment and when I got back they had stripped off the old roof one side and sealed it up to protect against the rainy weather in the forecast. The next day they promptly showed up and stripped off the other side and again got the ice and water shield installed along the perimeter and valleys and buttoned up to guard against the rainy forecast. The job also included venting two bathrooms thru the roof and two bathroom exhaust fans to the eves. And cutting in an additional skylight in one bathroom. With one day fully rained out they finished the entire job on August 22. That included all cleanup, 4 skylights, 2 exhaust vents, 2 bathroom vents, ridge vents, 27 squares shingles, stripped off and hauled away the old roofing materials, etc. Plus lots of little things I'm sure I'm leaving off. Good hard working company, very professional, reasonably priced and I would definitely hire them again. They gave the entire job the "personal" touch. Gave me a sense of caring for the quality job they were doing.

It has been a difficult time for roofing contractors with it raining almost everyday this spring and it is very hard to keep schedules.  I met with Mike Kinsley in May and he provided an estimate.  Since it was my daughter's townhouse we took a few day to make up our mind.  I called Mike and told him that he had the job.  He gave me an estimate time that he would start the job.  He called within that time frame and told me that he would start on June 24, 2014.  He finished on June 26, 2014. They used quality materials did a professional job and the crew was professional.   Mike always returned phone calls the same day and you can count on him to do what he says.

Three of our four skylights began to leak in a span of eight weeks. When our previous roofer made and skipped three appointments to address the leaks, we were referred to Mike Kinsley of Kinsley Construction. Mike is a true man of his word. He said he would take care of us, and that's exactly what he did. Juggling his previous commitments and working against the oncoming cold, rain and snow, Mike and his crew replaced all four skylights over two days. Immediately following completion of the work, we had heavy rain for two days followed shortly by a dusting of snow. None of the previous leaks resurfaced. Over these past several days, my wife and I repeatedly commented to each other how relieved we were that the roof was finally fixed. It had gotten to the point where we removed clocks from around the house and took out the batteries because the constant ticking sounded too much like water dripping. Mike is now our go-to guy for anything house-related. He and his team are professional, reliable, courteous, skilled, and honest. They take the time to do the job right the first time. We are grateful for the peace of mind that Mike has given us. We cannot recommend Kinsley Construction highly enough. Thank you, Mike!

Sun-Up Construction was excellent! They arrived on time, and they did what they said they were going to do. We had problems with those skylights for years, but haven’t had any issues since they completed their work. I would recommend this company to anybody!

Job went slower than desired, primarily due to weather and other unforeseen factors, but the end result was excellent and worth the added time to complete. It was quality work at a competitive price.

    LEGACY REMODELING INC
Nightmare, Terrible, (pictures included) The two workers that did most of the work we’re very polite however could not communicate due to language barriers had to talk to 3rd worker that did speak English. They broke our satellite dish eye arm by throwing off old shingles, I had insurance on dish so it was replaced but no TV for a week. Shingles laying all in the yard still! some. Some Old construction materials left however they did take old aluminum to junk yard to get money, they said they use the money for gas. I gave them a $100.00 tip the first day they got to our home as a good will jesture and bought water and ice, I thought this would intice them to do a better job. The shingles we purchased we’re made by Isaiah Industries the Classic Rustic aluminum type and we paid $51,000.00 for the entire project. Legacy used a cheaper hip lineal that we did not want per salesman’s presentation but to our surprise it was in the contract we signed, our foolish mistake so read your contract well and get exacting verbiage of what each piece of roofing materials are called. The foam backer board designed so shingles won’t crush was only installed in areas known by “Me gale” so he could walk around the roof without crushing the aluminum panels that look like ceader shakes. The way the shingles we’re installed provides no way to keep water from getting under and around the hip lineal and the only reason our roof might not be leaking yet is because we purchased aqual underlayment. So pieces started falling off Just one months after installing. The original subcontractors fixed right away, then a 2nd piece fell off a couple weeks later they fixed again this time I called my insurance agent who was present and got a statement from subcontractors stating that they forgot to put calking on shingle so our insurance company said they are not responsible for bad workmanship. At this point after a 3rd piece fell off we called again requesting different subcontractors but now they wouldn’t come out from just a phone call we had to go on line and fill out a work request form. This is when the owner Jeff Moeslein got involved and we started email traffic and I printed out all of his quotes like for instance one quote we find amazing he said “he can’t understand why we are so mad because of the lifetime warranty and excuse my language but he said “s_ _ _” happens! and most of the time the customers are glad we fix the issue but you just get mad” So another piece falls off and I got Isaiah Industries involved they sent installation manuals on our shingle and they also stated that they we’re providing Legacy remodeling on instructional ways to fix the pieces that fell off so when different subcontractors came out that I requested but per owner I don’t have the right to pick and choose who comes out. So they came out and they started screwing these shingles in with roofing screws so we have screws in our shingles that weren’t designed to ba installed this way. Not to have screws placed directly in plain site on top of a textured uneven shingles directly on top with no way to stop water from entering. To date 3 separate contractors came out and each stated the shingles on the lineal hips weren’t bent or fastened correctly but they don’t want to be in the middle so they can only do what Jeff Moeslein tells them to do. Foam backing was not placed on entire roof so crushed shingles everywhere from them walking all over the roof I have videos and photos. Jeff Moeslein said that was optional that I should have purchased that extra foam. He then starts the blame game that I should have read my contract and that I walked around the roof taking photos insinuating that I crushed the shingles, he forgot I have 4 sky lights that open and that’s how I was able to take photos, and as you can see in the photos sky lights probably will leak. Also I would like to mention that we had flood lights near soffit and they cut the wires and stuffed them into the soffit. When I told the owner he said read your contract I have to hire an electrician but this was after they left so we would have to tear appart the soffit to fix this code violation and we are worried a fire may happen in these two separate areas. The owner Jeff’s Moeslein’s emails are sickening and we don’t know what to do. We find ourselves inspecting the roof everytime we go outside or when we drive by it. Jeff Moeslein said he will not replace crushed shingles and so much more I didn’t mention. We are sick. Keep in mind the old shingles in pictures we’re picked up but plants broken. Have pictures of all shingles that fell off and have all emails and voicemail of or by owner, subcontractors and salesman. and have some informative videos and many more photos. Thank you respectfully submitted.
