Lots of miscommunication within this company. Poorly installed roof that was wavy, roofing cap wasn't attached, flashing was loose, gutters all leaked and were improperly angled. Siding they used was three different colors and had random screws and nails that were visible from the exterior. Dealing with this company has been such a headache. Just found out that Josh Fahey and his company filed bankruptcy and are now not answering or returning phone calls.

The work seemed to progress well. Job was completed in a timely manner and the price was what was we agreed to. Several weeks later it became apparent the downspouts were not fastened to the house and in fact were blowing in the wind. After repeated attempts to have it corrected, finally hired another contractor to fasten the downspouts. This was minor compared to what I discovered this week. When the old gutters were removed some of the fascia was pulled off and not replaced, leaving a large gap around the gutters into the attic. I discovered this while trying to find out how an unwanted visitor (opossum) was getting into my mother's bathroom ceiling. After the downspout problem I was willing to let it go without a bad review, but finding the fascia problem was inexcusable and buyer beware.

Replaced front and back porch flat roof. Replaced scuttle hole from one rubber roof to a lower roof. Within three months, I now have three leaks from my roof from the he work performed.  I also have a damaged ceiling from the leaks.  I contacted Mr. Korsen numerous times.  I was told that he was sorry and that he would come to see what the problem was three separate times.  Each time, he was a no show.  I had to contact him to see if he was coming each time hours after I expected him to come.  After the third attempt and his apology for not coming he has not returned my attempt to contact him.  He has made no attempt to even look at his shoddy work.

He got the deck built, and did a pretty good job. I paid for half of the project up front. He asked for another $500 to stain the deck, which I did. I also bought the stain myself. He then came back and asked for the other half of the money for the job prior to completion, and in exchange, he would install a new roof for no charge. I gave him the money, and he disappeared on me a few days later. My yard is a mess, and I've not seen or heard from him.

The technician called when he was on the way and arrived precisely on time.  I showed him the things that needed to be done, and he immediately started on them.  One task was harder than I anticipated (glad I didn't attempt it on my own); but he worked steadily, had everything he needed on hand, did everything I asked, and finished in a very reasonable amount of time.  They promptly sent me a bill, and I thought the cost was reasonable.

Mr. Hardin signed a contract with our church based, non-profit Child Dev. Center.  Took the down payment of $15,500, and disappeared.  I have evidence of the fraud he committed and if you would like more info please contact me at 304-746-0099.

My gutters were leaking severely and causing water problems for my foundation.  I had four different companies come to look at the problem and give an estimate on what it would cost to fix it.  Everyone but Mr. Bentley said I needed completely new gutters and downspouts to the tune of up to several thousand dollars.  Mr. Bentley inspected my problem carefully and was honest and said that all I needed was drip edge, bigger downspouts, and to make sure that when my gutters were cleaned that the leaf guard was put back in place properly.  He was completely right.  He did the work he recommended for only $440, and I haven't had any problem since then.  On top of being so honest, he was also on time and professional.  After he did such a great job for me, I recommended him to my mother, who also had a great experience with him.  I highly recommend this company!

Glynn, Rick, and ? replaced the shingles on my house in October. Other than bits of shingles all over my deck and patio furniture they did a good job. They came back and cleaned them out of my yard but unintentionally overlooked the deck. My neighbors all got theirs replaced this summer and Glynn and crew were much more efficient than the larger crews they hired.

An update to my review from a year ago... After studying with Melanie Taylor for a year, I am very pleased with my progress. So pleased that although Melanie has relocated to Louisville, KY and I am located four hours away, I am continuing to study with her in-person and remotely. She is a gifted instructor and a talented musician (check out her performance videos on YouTube).

Over the past year I have had the opportunity to observe Melanie with her child and adult students and she works equally well with both. She creates an exceptional learning environment - comfortable but challenging, woven with laughter, fun, and individualized teaching methods. Also she takes the time to expose her students to additional learning materials - I often receive emails from her with links to articles, performances, and online classes.

9/13 Review: I am very pleased with the quality instruction provided by Dr. Taylor of Taylor Piano Studio. I wish I had the opportunity to begin studying with Dr. Taylor as a child, as I am certain there would have been no limits to my advancement.
Dr. Taylor is highly educated and experienced in piano instruction and performance and those skills are evident in her planning and execution of each lesson.

A bit about me to give context to this review - I am an adult student who taught herself to read music and play basic songs - I am a beginner. I imagine the self-taught are a nightmare to piano teachers. But Dr. Taylor balanced my need to go back and properly learn basics (for example technique and a better way to read music) with my need to feel that I could play and quot;realand quot; songs and was progressing.

I interviewed several potential teachers before beginning my study with Dr. Taylor. I choose her for the following reasons - her professionalism, her individual approach to each student, her emphasis on technique in piano study, her thoughtful and enjoyable manner with students which creates an excellent learning environment, her common sense approach with adult students, and her performance skills.

A bit about technique - she is the only teacher I interviewed who insisted I start learning technique immediately. And after three months of study with her I understand why that is critical. After only 5 weeks with Dr. Taylor, friends and family began remarking my piano playing was significantly improved. This was in large part due to the techniques I learned in those weeks. Folks would say to me - and quot;I have heard you play that song before and now it sounds like music.and quot; I now have an understanding of the quality of sound that can be coaxed from this instrument.

A teacher with Dr. Taylor's qualifications and professionalism is a rare find. In summary, I give her my highest recommendation.

    We highly recommend this business!
Our roof had been leaking in two places for quite some time, which created some damage to one of the main-floor bedroom ceilings. We called Mr. Sheets, and the crew of workers came the next day. We suspected a good bit of damage to the roof. This business could have taken us to the cleaners but were totally honest, instead. They basically nailed shingles back in place and added silicone (if I remember correctly). They also attached some gutters that had come loose from the back of the house. We told Mr. Sheets that we would be in better shape financially to replace the roof down the road, and he agreed that it had some life left to it. He encouraged us to watch it before we did any ceiling repair and referred us to someone else for that. We have had at least two good rains since then, and so far the roof has not leaked at all. They more than earned their money, as they were at our home for a good while. We appreciate so much their willingness to work us in on the spur of the moment and definitely plan to use them again.
