Hospital Care reviews in Princeton

I was admitted quickly, received treatment in a timely manner and with a smile. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I can't find any fault with any of my service. Receiving a mammogram can be stressful and embarrassing but the staff is very trained at putting you at ease. Also, when waiting to go in for my colonoscopy, I was in the bed for about 45 minutes, with staff all around and I was never forgotten nor ignored. Checking my vitals, making sure I was awake (I was relaxed) and talking with me in general. I was pleasantly surprised.

I was in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy, having contractions, and instructed by my OB to go straight to the hospital. When I arrived, the OB ER nurse insisted it was only stretching pain and brushed me off to the point that it took her over half an hour to return to my room and actually do anything (IE: intake, TOCO belts, etc). After an hour, she called my doctor, who promptly arrived, and had to address the fact that I was in preterm labor! I've been to some areas of this hospital that are great, some that are okay, but just let me say that if you need to go for OB ER services insist on doctor contact, not a nurse who thinks she knows best.

This was my first experience with fasting for a procedure and the radiology staff was very friendly and accommodating to my situation. The admission staff handled my paper work quickly and had me on my way within 10 minutes of checking in. The hospital is always very clean and tidy, all departments are clearly marked and easy to find. The radiology staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. I was offered pillows and blankets, any thing to make my procedure more comfortable. The whole collection of X-rays took 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete but it certainly did not feel as long. As a courtesy for having such an early appointment and not being able to eat for many hours before, I was given a $5.00 credit to their cafeteria. Everything is reasonably priced there and the food is always good so I thought that was a really great touch on PCH's behalf. Princeton is my first choice in hospitals for this area and I haven't been disappointed yet.

IT was late and my doctors office was closed. I went to the hospital and had to wait a very long time, even though no one seemed to be there. Once in, they ran a lot of tests, which may not have been necessary. In the end, they did not help with my problem.

This hospital has gone from bad to worse.  It had gone downhill in recent years and was recently sold to a for-profit company.  They are putting a lot of money into renovating the lobby along with some other areas.  And, have let a lot of non-medical staff go.  They promised not to lay-off medical staff, but have the done the business avenue of laying-off everyone else and stressing the nurses enough to get them to leave voluntarily.  There aren't a lot of employees and most are newbies from the local colleges willing to work for low pay and it shows.  The staff stood outside of my relative's door for ten minutes while the nurse button had been pressed and was dinging away in the hallway.  I waited and waited and waited.  I finally stepped outside and verbally requested help and was told that they'd be right with me.  It was about another five minutes and they came in.  I don't want to discuss details, but then nurse tried to accuse me of being at fault for the predicament for not getting a nurse sooner!  The company isn't concerned about your care as much as your financials.  This place will ruin our area and it will ruin you if you visit them.  Perhaps things will change in their quality the longer they are in place, but for now. . .keep driving.
