I had informed Rae, the owner, that my persian cat, Kipling, was not very sociable and I was afraid he might suffer from separation anxiety, as he had before at other kennels. So, I called in the afternoon to check on him. Rae told me that she was able to get him to come to her and he seemed to be enjoying himself. That was an unexpected surprise! When I brought him home, I thought he would jump out of his carrier and run up to his bed as he always had. But instead, Kipling went from window to window, looking for something unknown to me. He also started climbing eveything trying to find the highest vantage point in the room. He paced for a good hour after we got home. Then two weeks later, the same situation occurred and I found myself taking Kippy back to Rae's. I asked her why he may have suddenly wanted to climb since he had never wanted to before. In the kitty condos, they have ledges at varying heights on the floor to ceiling windows. Also, at the condos, they play DVDs specially designed for cat sitting, which keeps them stimulated and comfortable during their stay. Now that I've found Rae and Cross Lanes Boarding Kennel, I won't have those guilty feelings everytime I must leave my cat for the night or even the week. Rae is dedicated and compassionate with her pet visitors. She also cares about the pet's owner, as she took the time to understand my situation and reassured me that Kipling would be fine, but told me I was welcome to call anytime during the day. I have, over the years, used almost every kennel in a 50-mile radius of Charleston and I can guarantee you that this one is the place that you will feel the best about leaving your cat or dog. While you're there, pick up a brochure and read how Rae got in to this business. She has a stellar history that will convince you that she's only in the business for the love of our pets.

The service was very professional. They took excellent care of my three dogs. The kennel is kept very clean. I will be using them again and again! The price is a bit expensive ($50/night for 3 dogs all under 20 lbs) but I am more than willing to pay more for how well they take care of my furbabies.

I was told I could phone mid week for an update mid week. When I picked up my dog everyone seemed to be good friends with my dog which really pleased me. All the staff that I met were great, along with the owner herself. They will give meds and treats if you request. I called and informed them that I may be a few minutes late picking him up due to the heavy traffic and was informed that it would be no problem. I will be using them again! PS I liked the 2 calm house cats that live in the office and greet customers. One of the workers lives above the kennel so someone is there in case of fire.

    CLUB PET
I haven't used them personally but rescue groups that I helped out with and volunteers; we've taken several dogs and I was personally involved with one up there and he treated him like he was king.  They give a price break to the rescue and if the dogs need a lot of grooming or some place until they found a foster.  The way they treat their animals is first class.

They are terrific. They are very compassionate people. They all seem to be committed to what they are doing, even the people at the front desk when I had a dog as well, they took care of her. When I go there, they are consistently the same with everybody and consistently the same anytime I go. They are very caring, their pricing is reasonable, they send notices when she's got to go back and have a test done because she's taking some medication. I get notices in the mail. They are very empathetic. They come in a little early to let me know because my hours are such that I can’t get the … so they come half an hour to let me in so that I can bring the cat in for boarding and leave. They are very accommodating. They are very good.

I love everything about them. The kennels were absolutely spotless. We were allowed to go and view everything. We were allowed to make phone calls to check up on him. It was just a phenomenal kennel.
