  • I'm a small young girl and they definitely took advantage of that. They claimed they needed a diagnostic test to be "sure" it was the clockspring but I told them it definitely was but to do the test and just change it. After I dropped my car off I get a call saying the test was a clock spring (thanks for that insight) and my drive side lower ball joint needed replaced, my front two tires needed replaced and they would not align or rotate the car until this other was was done. Oh, and the clock spring wasn't in the shop (even though I made an appointment for a CLOCK SPRING REPLACEMENT) all together the work they wanted was an ESTIMATED 900$. No. I picked up my car. Paid for the USELESS diagnostic fee and changed the clock spring myself. As I was working on my car (with help from a mechanic friend I admit) we looked at the lower ball joint mentioned and it was PERFECT. Looked 2 months old. I was furious so I called Ameritech to discuss it and ask for my money back on the diagnostic since it was useless and I was denied explaining that they did an hours worth of labor because they "traced the wires back by hand" which when I called for the appointment they explained that a machine code would tell them if it was the clock spring or not so that was bull. Then I explained the other issues and suddenly it was not the drivers side ball joint needed replaced but the passenger side ball joint needing tightened (they quoted me 305.27 for the "replacement" ball joint work and if the part is at auto zone for 115 and they get a manufacturers discount tell me why I'm paying over 180 for labor? And then it's just tightening it? So ALL LABOR?! No. Anyways, the tires were fine and he pleaded I bring the car into the shop so he could show me but I refused, I explained the balding on the side of my tire was a result of a bad alignment which is why I wanted it fixed and the other 90% of tire tred was impeccable and didn't need changing until 4-6 months. He just kept asking me to bring my car back in and I was fed up. I said "it's just a 100$ lesson with you guys, Thankyou." And hung up. I'm a broke college student trying to pay my bills and I cannot afford to lose 100$ for nothing. Had I gotten the refund I would have let this event pass, but now I'm determined to tell everyone what a horrible time I've had there. My boyfriend takes his car there for small things like oil changes or inspections and he said even he won't be returning after this.

  • First off I am a 70+ year old Vet. who's spent 28 years in the navy and this is what happen to me when I went to Apple Valley Chevrolet in Martinsburg WV. On Oct. 19th, I took my 2014 Silverado 1500 Z92 truck to get the instrument cluster fixed at Apple Valley Chevrolet in Martinsburg WV. The digital readout was 5 miles an hour different the analog gauge was saying. Chris said that they would order a new one and send it to the conversion company to get it fixed. They had to send it off because the truck had a $16000.00 upgrade done to it from the factory with the full GM warranty. The upgrade came with a lift kit upgraded wheels and rims, an upgraded interior which included a instrument cluster that was up graded. Two full weeks went by without any updates so on Nov. 3rd; I called to see what was going on. Chris called me back to tell me that they sent the new cluster and my original cluster to the conversion company to get it fixed. He then told me that when they sent both back they were broken. He then told me that it would cost me $500.00 for a new one. At that point I told Chris that he will return my truck back to me in the exact same condition as I left it with them. I told him he needs to call someone and get the exact same instrument cluster and have it installed and call me when it was done and that I wasn't going to pay a dime because it was under the factory warranty. I get a call from Chris today Nov. 8th, telling me that my truck is done and that they installed a generic cluster and if I wanted to have the same one like before that I would have to do it myself. He then told me that and quot;you can't really tell the difference if you are not looking at itand quot;, how stupid does he think we are, it's an instrument cluster, we are always looking at it. . As far as I am concerned who broke the parts is no concern to me. The fact of the matter is that my truck was left in their hands and it is not being returned to me in the same condition as I left it with them. This is the last time I will do any business with this company, I suggest you do the same and I do not consider this matter closed.

  • We have been using Roger's since we moved into the area and it was recommended to us by neighbors. They have been great, they have kept a 1992 toyota pick up running well passed it time, they have worked on nissans, fords, various toyotas, and chervolets. If they can't fix it, they recommend who can.We have been very happy and pleased with their service.

  • This was my first time purchasing tires online (from Tirerack.com). Autoserve is one of their approved local installers for the Eastern Panhandle area.

I was quoted a price online for the installation prior to purchasing the tires and had them shipped directly to Autoserv. The tires arrived at the garage within 2-3 days of ordering and were quickly installed for the quoted price. I also had them do a front end alignment.

No problems with the transaction. After almost a year, no problems with the tires.

Things I would do differently - I did not ask for, and AutoServe did not suggest, new valve stems for the tires. I have not had any problems with the old valve stems so far, but I've usually gotten them with new tires in the past since other garages either automatically included them in the price, or suggested that they be added.
