The staff at all the locations in the Eastern Panhandle of WV are really nice and the top of their field. Kate and her staff at the Charles Town office took care of all my needs and provided me with additional things that I could do at home to hasten my recovery. They are true gems!! If you EVER need Physical rehab, check out Professional Sports Care and Rehab location near you before you try anyone else. I promise you won't regret it!

    Professional Sportscare & Rehab
II have been active all of my life and as a result have had a few injuries and surgeries requiring physical therapy. Two years ago I suffered a rotator cuff tear and subsequent surgery. Chris Horowicz was recommended by friends locally, and he helped me immensely. His encouragement got me through weeks of painful rehab. Just as I was about to "graduate" from PT, the surgery came undone and had to be repaired again! Once again, Chris encouraged me through more weeks of miserable rehab, and several years later I have nearly full function in that arm and shoulder, better than my Orthopedic surgeon expected. I have never met a better physical therapist, or one who knows more about the human body and how it is supposed to work. His knowledge, coupled with an outgoing personality, makes PT almost fun.

    Wellness Center At City Hospital
The Wellness Center is an exercise/rehab center. It is a weight room that has people who help you rehab and set up your routine. The staff is very knowledgeable and they have all the equipment that I need. The hours are extensive from early morning to late night.

Chris Horowicz is top notch in his field. I go to the office in Charles Town WV. His professionalism and expertise is head and shoulders above the rest. He is extremely knowledgeable about the mechanics of the human body and provides invaluable assistance to his clients on how to live life to it's fullest. He not only provides the physical therapy needed in my instance but also coaches those who compete in sports on form, posture and how to be an effective competitor. I have watched him with other patients as I perform my therpeutic exercises 2x a week (still in therapy post knee surgery) and his demeanor and genuine interest in the individual is what every athlete and/or person recovering from an injury needs. I highly recommend this individual and his services to any and all who need them

    City Hospital
I was preparing for a half marathon in the fall of 2010 (the race was in January 2011).  In late November I developed serious knee pain and it was diagnosed as runner's knee.  I went to City Hospital Physical Therapy in the McCormack building for about 6-8 total sessions. The sessions consisted of knee strengthening exercises, riding bike, ultrasound.  The staff was very competent and very pleasant to deal with.  I was very concerned about being able to run in the race I had signed up for; and they did their best to help me.  The ultrasound treatments seemed to help quite a bit; I'm not sure that the strengthening really did much.  I didn't have a lot of time to get better so I'm sure it did help somewhat.  I was able to run in the race, though I walked a good portion of it. In all, I'd recommend their staff at City.  Very nice, a good facility, friendly and helpful.

I was immediately impressed with Dr. Chris Horowitz. First, he is very personable and approachable. He does not hide behind his lab coat like so many doctors do. Second, his knowledge is deep and impressive. Given almost any physical situation, he can immediately tell you how it may have gotten that way, what causes the pain, and what options there are to deal with it. If you like technical terms, he can rattle those off, but he usually converses in terms of what you want to achieve, and what you need to do to get there. He draws on extensive personal experience in sports and exercise, so you always have the feeling that he's right there with you - he knows what you're feeling because he's felt it himself. Third, one of the best things about his clinic is everyone's ability to distract and amuse you while you do your exercises. Rather than everyone doing reps and counting to 30, people are usually laughing and talking. Last, his staff is very polite, professional, knowledgable, and compassionate. They make sure you're doing your exercises correctly, and you can tell that they understand how difficult it is to do them. Physical Therapy (PT) is painful - there's no way around that. But I have to say I look forward to my visits, and once I'm done, I know I will miss Dr. Horowitz and his staff. They're that good.

    Capitol Rehab
After the first session I could see some improvement, and the remaining sessions provided increased motion and I was given additional exercises to loosen and strengthen my shoulder muscles. We have a tentative follow-up appointment for a month from the last meeting, but if I feel the need to have treatment before then, we agreed that would not be a problem. Likewise, if I don't need a follow-up visit, I can cancel it.
