    About a year prior to this repair, we had a brand new AC unit installed by another HVAC technician that was hired by our Property Management company and the unit stopped cooling.  The other technician would not even answer calls or emails.  Wayne had completed some handyman work for us before so he was the first one I thought to try to get this fixed.  When Wayne went out, he discovered all the coolant had leaked out due to an incorrect installation.  He even discovered the fan on the outside unit was running the wrong way.  Wayne did a great job of reaching out to the manufacturer of the unit and probably saved us several thousand dollars.  Luckily this wasn't an emergency fix but he still completed the entire project within a couple of days during the middle of summer when he was super busy.  He is always very responsive, communicative and sticks to his timeline.  Highly recommended!

    So thankful for these guys. My outdoor unit stopped working on Saturday afternoon on a 91 degree day. I was panicked and didn't know who to call, so I went onto Angie's list and called Shenandoah heating and air. They were in and answered my call, no answering machine. The front desk person was a little rude, but Travis called back around an hour later and came directly over, fixed the problem, and left me one happy camper with the ac running. From this point on, these are my go to peeps for my hearing and air!

    They were punctual and completed the service as stated.  They were very helpful and giving details about things that had happened to the unit that we were unaware of.  Like damage from someone possibly in the neighborhood.

    The HVAC Tech, named, I believe JW, examined my upstairs heat pump, made recommendation, said a replacement part, and it would cost exactly $1108.87 to repair, of which I handed him a check for that amount at that time.  He said he had to order a part, and would complete the repair the following week, and he would call me when the part came in. to schedule the repair.  He called me and said the part was in, but that it wasn't the exact part for my heat pump, but that it was an updated part, but he thought he could make it work.  He came to install the part on 4/1/114, said he modified a hose or pipe connection.   (I was following what he was telling me during the 2 times he was here, even though the information was new to me.  I believe he was thorough with his explanation, but I have forgotten exactly what he said, since that has been about 2 months ago.)  He was very personable, knowledgeable, and professional.  After he installed  the modified part repair, my heat pump was working like it was supposed to.  I had had my heat pump worked on 3 times in the last 4 years.  After he was finished, I got the biggest surprise ever.  He handed me another receipt for $243.48 and the check I had written to him on his first visit, and then in exchange I gave him another check for the 2nd receipt he gave me..  That was a savings of 865.39!!!  That had never happened to me before, and at the same time, I thought that was great for April Fool's Day.  To this day, the heat pump is still performing as it should, and what a difference it made in my electric bill.  I think these guys are teriffic!!!!  An additional fact is, for what ever it's worth,  these guys are located in Greencastle, PA, and I'm located in Inwood, WV!!!

    Our downstairs unit wasn't cooling well late last fall, so we knew it would need maintenance. A few days ago, our upstairs unit froze up, so we looked here on Angie's List to find a contractor. W. F. Reid, Jr. had good reviews, so we called him on Friday to set up an appointment. He didn't have an opening that day, but said he would come out on Monday. He was very informative, and his price for freon was much lower than another company that we called. He told us that if the AC Leak Freeze didn't work, he would come out and put more freon in the units and only charge us for labor. (Of course, if the Leak Freeze doesn't work, we'll have to have other, more expensive work done on the units!) He gave us a discount, which we greatly appreciated. The house is nice and cold now, and we are satisfied customers.

    Tony Smith has a great response time. He works quickly and professionally. He is very friendly and patient while troubleshooting and repairing. I have used Mr. Smith on multiple jobs and am very pleased with his work. He will get the job done.

    Terrible! They came out for the first service call. Found system was low of freon. They charged system, and said they would return in a week to recheck system.  Called back after more than a week and was told that they would be out the following day. they never showed or called to tell me they were not coming out. Did this three more times, and had to get another service company out to take care of the problem.

    At first, the problem was solved with a capacitor replacement, but within 2 weeks, the motor went out and had to be replaced.  The replacement motor was soon discovered to be defective, and this led to a next-day visit from the tech manager.  He promised a second free replacement as speedily as possible, and just before another hot day warmed this area, the tech came out and replaced the defective motor.  All is cool again!
    Everyone was great to work with whether the manager, the techs or the staff who schedule appointments.

    Billy came to the house to give an estimate of a replacement system the following day we called (a family friend had comfirmed our compressor was bad and the system would been to be replaced, it was 16 yrs old). He listened to everything I told him, checked under the house to see what we had and what shape the duct work was in. He located all the vents inside the house and did measurements of the house to be sure the estimated living space I gave him was correct. Within 15 min of gathering info, I had a detailed estimate. He was very courteous, pleasant and straight forward. After obtaining another estimate, we decided to have Blue Ridge do the work. I spoke with Billy the next day, two days later they were installing the new system. He was later getting here than he had told us, but was considerate in calling to tell us they were going to be a bit late. The men removed their shoes when coming inside the house, even though they had put down a drop cloth to protect the floors. The men were always courteous and respectful of us and our property. We were very pleased in every aspect and highly recommend them.
