Mr. Handyman of Northern Montgomery County
Small mix up in scheduled time of arrival . Brian was very courteous and friendly . Kitchen install was very difficult due to rusted pipes and calcified washers. Even faced with tight spaces and very difficult rust, Brian persevered with out cursing or quitting . Thus showing great professionalism . The up stairs bath was similar in install , but all work was done in a timely manner which was a concern of the installer. He would explain that due to faulty original installation ( which he showed me first) why the job would take the time estimated before he began. Nice touch.

In the past, I have always used Lowes. Their quote was high even thought I wasn't getting anything fancy. The quote I got at Home Depot was $1000 less than Lowes, and that included the counter tops. My kitchen looks wonderful! I will now use Home Depot.

I ordered a $20 Shell gift card for $5.00 from the Angie's List Big Deal Members offers.  It arrived in about 3 weeks.  We can use it for any products or services at our Shell gas station.  It was a great deal, and we would do it again if given the opportunity.

We went to Lowes to buy a water heater. It cost $259.00 as we saw on their site online. But then Lowes started adding a bunch of other "needed" things to the bill so that it came to over $650.00.  Luckily  the plumber contracted by Lowes to do the install told us that some of the items were not necessary. He was honest and saved us $150 in returned items. I am quite happy with the service of Lowe's contracted plumber. I am not happy that no where was it stated on their website that the price of the water heater was just the beginning of costs.

Started smooth driver was very good to work with, Unfortunately we ran out of concrete by about 3-4 wheel barrow loads and had to order a full yard and pay a delivery fee, Now I have worked driving concrete trucks and people do make mistakes on the yardage needed for the job. But Both the mason in charge who dug the footers by hand in very hard ground and under a mobile Home and I went around putting in rebar every 3 feet 8 inches high then went back and double checked all the measurements to make sure they were right, We came up with 5 yards ( T.B.H.) also came up with 4.99 after the shortage came to light, They first said they would drop the delivery fee of 63$ then did not. All the dealing with the Co. to this point was by my mason and I listened in on speaker phone. When he got the run around, different story every time I got involved and called the local office where we had ordered from and was blown off, I then called the head office where after about 15 minutes of explaining the problems was told he would call me back, He did return my call and did refund the 63$ delivery fee. While I know we were shorted there is know way to prove it so getting at least the shortage fee back felt like a small win.

The door was not installed square--that became evident when the drier indoor air of winter began to effect the effect the wood of the door, which now rubs on the threshold. the hinges of the door are adjustable and have been adjusted to their full extent and it still rubs. This was a botched installation that can only be fixed at a significant expense.
