Eddie and John exceeded our expectations and did an amazing job transforming our interior and bringing it out of the 80’s to the present day. We explained our vision and they delivered! So happy with the way it turned out and they will definitely get our next project!

It went great! Barry was here on time, as always, and finished his work promptly with no issues. I have used Barry for several electrical projects while getting my home ready to sell and have been very impressive with his reliability to do great work. His cost is very reasonable, also. I would hire Barry for all my electrical needs without hesitation.

Online appointment booked for 3:30. Received an email it had been changed to 4:00. Okay. When no one showed up, I checked the confirmation email; on that site, the appointment had been rescheduled for 4-4:30. No one showed up by 4:30. After 5, I called the number listed on the website - only option was to leave a message, which I did. Want to add that I never heard back from them. At 5:30, the technician called to say it would take another hour to get here. Okay, that would make it 6:30. He arrived, listened to my description of the problem and went down to the gate and I went with him. He checked out the system and told me he thought the problem was the battery. Total time here - 15 mins. To diagnose the issue - less than 5 mins. For this, I was charged $163.50. At first, he was going to charge me $263.50. The whole situation is exorbitant and ridiculous. Why not call before the appointment time when you know you will be late? 2 hours late? The charge was ridiculous. Other electrical work has been done here for a much more reasonable amount, and they tackled more and more difficult tasks than a dysfunctional battery. This company is not a good option. Their rates are ridiculously high. They do not respect the client's time and effort - I was here waiting, they were two hours late with no call to advise me of the lateness. Lastly, what good does it do to provide a phone number if no one answers and no one responds. UPDATE (11/12/18): Sean from Murphy's Home Services reached out to me to resolve this issue. He was willing to adjust some of the charges because of the small amount of time needed to resolve the issue and because the technician provided a diagnosis. He did could not repair the part that wasn't working. I have since followed the technician's advice and bought a replacement for the problem part. Now the gate is working fine and I'd like to change my overall grade for the services of this company. I appreciate them reaching out to me.I feel as though a company that's willing to take the time to make it right is a company that can be relied upon to do the right thing.

The projects went very well. The company was able to give us a quote within a week and started work almost immediately and completed the projects within a month or so. They provided quality work at a reasonable price. The workers, Steve, Berr and Eric were professional and responsive to our requests. We plan to use them for all our future projects.

Small mix up in scheduled time of arrival . Brian was very courteous and friendly . Kitchen install was very difficult due to rusted pipes and calcified washers. Even faced with tight spaces and very difficult rust, Brian persevered with out cursing or quitting . Thus showing great professionalism . The up stairs bath was similar in install , but all work was done in a timely manner which was a concern of the installer. He would explain that due to faulty original installation ( which he showed me first) why the job would take the time estimated before he began. Nice touch.

    JC Smith LLC
We recently purchased a home built in 1896 and decided to hire JC Smith to do the extensive re-model. From the initial assessment to the final walk through, JC Smith was a top notch general contractor. The scope of work and cost estimate were both on point; no surprises or hidden costs that threw me out of my budget. The design consultant was very helpful with the new design and material choices; suggesting good quality yet affordable products that would help me achieve the design look I wanted while staying within my budget. The job foreman was knowledgeable about every aspect of the work that needed to be done and always polite and considerate to inform me of all the daily details during the construction phase. He addressed any questions or concerns I had promptly and courteously; even when I asked multiple times because I just didn't understand. ; ) Even the sub-contractors that were brought in did great work! If I wanted something "tweaked" at the end of a particular job, JC Smith was quick to have their sub-contractor return and finish the work to my satisfaction. Every worker that passed through the doors of my home were considerate of the fact that it was my home and therefore left an exceptionally clean job site at the end of the day. To make sure that all the work getting done was to their very high standards, there were multiple calls and visits from none other than the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I can't say enough good things about this general contractor! Thanks JC Smith for a job well done!!

Barry troubleshot the problem and replaced two light switches in my bathroom. Both overhead and vanity lights now function. I was very pleased with this provider's service and will use him again.

Dave, the man who did the work, was very knowledgeable regarding what needed to be done to correct the shower water leak problem. He removed some of the shower wall tiles and found water had damaged a small section of the water resistant drywall to which those ceramic tiles were attached. He replaced that damaged section with cement board and then attached new ceramic tiles. I had decided to also replace the shower door and Dave did that work. Dave also replaced a separate section of regular drywall adjacent to the shower door that was damaged. Dave also quickly replaced a damaged GFCI outlet. Dave has a pleasant personality. He always kept me well informed about what he was doing. He did a good job cleaning the work site after he finished.
