    AJs Grading And Landshaping
When choosing someone to totally transform your outdoor living space as well as fix major drainage problems that ALL other excavators have told you were impossible to fix….. there are many things to consider…. Price, dependability, reliability, honesty and effectiveness are all things that are important factors in that decision. You will find ALL of those qualities in AJ plus many more! When he came to our home, we piled a list on him that we had honestly given up on ever being “fixed correctly” because not one person said it could be done the way we wanted it! AJ, with his quiet ways, just smiled and said “no problem” and acted as if we had yet to give him a challenge! Although we were hesitant at first (could it really be true that someone knows how to fix our problems??) AJ quickly calmed our fears and blew us away with his skill and craftsmanship. AJ is amazing and his work is beyond outstanding! He removed TONS of solid shale from the side of our garage…. Only inches away and never once touched the building or disrupted our daily living. He provided us with a gorgeous retaining wall, cleared lot, new drainage, and renewed hope that we CAN enjoy the outside of our home! Admittedly, I am a hard person to please, much less impress – but AJ surpassed all expectations and went well beyond anything we had ever dreamed or hoped of having! AJ would calmly answer our questions (and we had a LOT) and give us his expert opinion when asked. Tiffany is the perfect addition to the team as she handles the details while AJ handles getting the job done. Together, they are a power house and an incredible couple that have my absolute respect and vote of confidence. If you’re looking for someone to get the job done right the FIRST time – get AJ. If you have the time and money to have it done twice – AJ will fix what the first guy screwed up. Trust me. The man is a genius on a machine and a miracle worker. You can look at the retaining wall he did at our home - - and the clearing – it’s amazing. We literally had neighbors stop in the road to watch. We would rush home every single day to see what miracle he had performed while we were at work! I rarely, if ever, refer people….. but AJ and Tiffany? No hesitation – I’d refer them to my family. They’re THAT good.

    ALBERT'S PAVING
Experience was first rate.  They responded within 12 hours of first call and came out and gave us a quote within a day or so.  A date was set to start the work and they showed up as scheduled with a crew sufficient to complete the job in the two day time frame as quoted.  They repeatedly confirmed that the job was progressing as expected.  It was obvious they wanted to be sure we were happy with the way the job was going from the beginning.  It was a big job by our standards but they completed is very successfully on time and on budget. Definitely a first rate company!!

This crew is very detailed and cares a lot about their work. They did a great job and it looked great! They weren't the cheapest quote, but I thought they would do a better job than the other quote I got and so I hired them. They were very punctual and did exactly what they said. Note that the specific person I worked with was Norman Whetzel.

    Quality Concrete & Masonry
Had him come out and look at job, got an est. digging footers, laying up blocks and finish with smooth concrete over half the job. ( Hand digging since mobile home was already in place) After checking him out and 2 others I hired him to do the job, Total time on job was 7 days. 3 days hand digging the footers and laying them out for concrete, 2 hr's for pouring concrete (166 feet) with 2 helpers (could not get truck real close) 3 days laying up block with one helper and 4 hr's putting smooth concrete finish over front and one side of Home, All work was done as good as any I have seen. The owner did most the work by himself including hand digging the footers. When checking him out I looked at some of his stone work and it was again done as good as any I have seen. would highly recommend him.

they were very punctual; started early each day. We didn't have to wait long at all for them to start the project (from the time we contacted them, it was only a couple of days). They discussed the job completely at the beginning and all aspects of the job as they went along. we initially were not going to have the cement porch done for a few months, but after discussing it with them they explained to us that it would be better to pour the porch first - that way our new driveway wouldn't be damaged when the cement trucks drove into the yard. We are very happy with the work that they did. Our circular driveway is just exactly what we wanted. We are so glad that we didn't wait to do the porch - its huge and is terrific for keeping all the mud, leaves, and snow away from the front door.

    Tyzak Contractors LLC
We found them on Angie's List. They gave an estimate for $800 to do extra work also. They measured and fully explained what the process is going to do, and they diagrammed how it was going to look. The price is good. They were on time and very reasonably priced. They give us a good written quote, and explained everything that they were going to do to the driveway, what they were going to do to prep the driveway, and then how to take care of it after that. Their responsiveness was very good. We would use them again in the future.

He is an absolute pleasure to deal with and his three sons are top notch. All his estimates were honest, accurate and almost always 75% less than estimated , which always made me feel happy. In conclusion, Brian can perform any task that concerns a home, a jack of all trades if you will, he is world class and one of kind. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    9Gs Walls and Foundations Inc
So far the work has gone very well.  I realize I am taking a chance writing this before the project is totally finished.  However, in the experience of my husband and myself, we have been extremely satisfied so far with 9G's Walls and Foundations, and wanted to say so.  The engineers who drew up our plans said it was a challenging job, as our home is very close to the road, and being an old house, it has various quirky situations to deal with.  Nevertheless, the owner of the company, Monty Nash, has met the challenges beautifully so far.  He seriously has considered how to approach each different challenge from different angles.  The few times we've questioned him about various aspects, Monty provided logical explanations, and we have been satisfied with his responses to the point we feel very confident he knows what he is doing.  His crew seems knowledgeable, and they are courteous UPDATE: 6/23  Mr. Nash had to go out of the country for six weeks for family business, which was fine.  However, when he returned, he seemed to want to hurry things up - I guess he was behind.  That's when we started having problems.  We suspect he's been cutting corners lately to save time and money.   Things he said he was going to do weren't done that way, and it was suggested that I didn't remember things correctly, which is not true.  I won't claim my memory is perfect, but this has happened too many times.       As it stands now, the major stuff is done, but we're waiting for him to complete several corrections, and we haven't heard from him in a few days.  It's been rainy though.  The things we're waiting for him to correct are: laying the pavers away from the house so that water drains away, and not toward our structure.  Last night water was pouring though a hole in the foundation.  A basement window waits to be sealed up properly.  Edges of paver areas should be sealed in some way so that the sand doesn't wash out.  Rubble that came from the foundation work still needs to be hauled away.  Meanwhile, we've had to pay him for several "unexpected" costs.       I would certainly like to give him the benefit of the doubt.   Last I saw him he wanted the third payment, but I haven't given it to him yet.  I'm going to downgrade the scores I gave him, at least for now.  Hopefully he'll come through, and I can upgrade again.  6/25 latest update: Well, he returned shortly after I wrot the last update, and it was due to the rain, he said, that he wasn't here.  He did address all of our concerns and fixed the problems.  The pavers tipping water away from the house, he didn't fix the way I wanted; instead a little concrete berm was put in along the bottom edge of the house.  He says that should do the trick.  I hope he's right.  Someone had knocked over a nail & screw organizer in our basement, and I was curious to see it that would be cleaned up when everyone was finished.  It was.  A small thing, but I count that in his favor.  We did pay him his last payment.  I have revised his ratings again.  Time will tell how the project holds up, and I will update again if need be.   In a nutshell, hire him, as long as you put every little detail you want in the contract, also include details of the procedues in the contract, anticipate potential cost overruns and discuss them before hand (put those agreements in writing, too), and frequently check on how your project is going.  Also, do the standard payment plan of 1/3 to start, 1/3 at midpoint, and the final third upon satisfactory completion.  Then you should be fine.
