    Express Pool Plastering
always on time, pleasant to deal with, met the price they quoted, and were willing to deal with us via email. No hassle - we left the pool area unlocked and they just basically did the work and we'd come home to the finished job. We were happy enough that we recommended them to a friend, who had their pool redone also. They were also satisfied. Only (small) hassle is that they're on the north side of town for the "select a finish" visit, but well worth it.

Pool purchase date was 5/24/13 amount paid in full. At the time, pool was negotiated with Josh who stated we could negotiate some of the details with Cotton, the owner. We did to our mutual satisfaction. Josh had told us over the phone in vehicle (Ford sync) that install date would be June 15th and in the store. At the time, I was surprised because I was purchasing a pool so late in the season.) The Pool install date became a big issue with my husband since he had never dealt with any pool companies prior to our recent marriage. My house came with a smaller above ground pool, which the former owners purchased from a defunct pool company. I learned extremely quickly not all pool companies are created equal. I specifically did business with this company because it was the only one that sales and install their pools. Plus, I had found them to be honest with me in their dealings. Other places give you a list of installers. I had replaced the liner on the former pool and found when you pick an installer off a list that you are at their mercy, plus neither the installer or pool company takes responsibility for problems. The actual finalized install date became July 16th. The guys who did the install were very nice and helpful. To be fair to the dealer, they install pools in a large area. Installs have been slowed due to a wetter than normal summer, complete with area flooding. We called in June before going out of town to verify date of install. The scheduler, Jennifer seemed incredulous when we explained we were given an install date of June 15th. She told us they were just beginning to install pools and we were next to last on the list. Cotton did call because my husband was upset after the pool was set up on Saturday July 13th and no one showed on Monday to cut the skimmer & light out of the liner after the liner had time to stretch once water was added. The install guys had told my husband this process takes 15 minutes, so he expected someone to show Monday before a new install was started. I explained the initial date issue, which really created an unrealistic expectation. I was told Josh normally does not sell pools so he would not know dates/scheduling. He mainly just sells chemicals in the store. He said the guys who did the install, returned to the company after the scheduler had left on Saturday. It was not communicated the pool still needed the skimmer/light cut and attached. Plus they went out on a job in the opposite direction on Monday before Jennifer came to work. Cotton was very apologetic and someone did come on Tuesday afternoon to complete the set-up. My advise is to talk to Jennifer regarding the list, anticipated date of install and how many days it takes to complete the install before buying the pool. I am sure all above ground pools take a minimum of two days since filling any size pool and stretching the liner with water takes most of a day. Installers would not be paid to wait. I am also sure although a list is followed, it is necessary to schedule installs close to each other since some locations are easily a 100 to 150 miles a part. There is an apparent gap of communication between the scheduler and the installers. The bottom line, this company is the last left around the Charleston area which sales and installs the pools sold. Our purchase was late in the season and the weather created a lot of delays. We have a quality pool installed properly, which should last for many years. If I was purchasing another pool or replacing my spa, I would do business with this company again.

This is the first time I have ever owned a pool, so they showed me how to do and what to do with a few things. They were really knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely tell others to go with them. They were compatible to other companies on price. They came down and gave me a free estimate of how much it would cost me to install a liner in my pool. I'm planning on using them again in the middle of next month.

They did a really good job and were very professional. They were very prompt and completed the job at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them to others.

    AAA Pools & Spas
The first time I spoke with them, they didn't seem to understand what I was talking about nor were they familiar with this other company.  They said they needed an invoice of the work that was done before they would perform any services.  That is the last I have heard from them.  I have tried to contact them 3 or 4 other times.  I called the previous company and they still have not sent the invoice, to my knowledge because AAA has not said they have received it.

They came and installed the hot tub and that went okay.  It worked okay up until last year and it started leaking.  They came up and fixed it and didn't have any problem fixing the leak - it was still under warrenty.  It started leaking again around August 2011.  I have called them a number of times to come back out and look at it, but they have blown me off.  When I finally got a hold of them, they referred me to someone else and said they don't service my area anymore.

    Lorrison Pools & Spas Inc
They have one technician that does repairs. He won't come to my house because his wife says that I look too much like his ex-wife and she doesn't want him coming to my house. When I tell Lorrison about it, they say they only have one guy and there's nothing they can do. Lorrison's repair people also will not return my phone calls. If they ever do, they say they will call back or come by at a certain time, and they never do, with no response. The name of the spa is Master Spa, so I recommend not buying it to others.

The spa continued to work for a week or so, then the power indicator blinked on and off again. After checking with Mr. Coe the electrician, he says that the wiring is just fine.   He thinks that since there is no apparently heat damage to the works, he thinks there is something wrong with the heater board that was replaced by Leisure World in 5/13/13 and since it is under warranty, they should replace it with a new one. I called Leisure World to report this and talked to Jennifer who said she was the manager.  She was incredibly rude on the phone and hung up on me.  I tried to explain that the electrician had found no damage due to inadequate wiring but that he thought it was a defective heater board.  She said that since the service man had been out on 6/12/13 and found the wrong wire was used, they wouldn?t come out again until the wire was replaced.  She said there was something wrong with the electrician and he couldn't read a wiring diagram.  I wrote a letter to the owner of the company and got a call from someone named Cotton last week.  He said he would look into it.  Fortunately the spa is still working.  But I am looking for a new provider.

Old pool liner removed, started to install new liner (wrong size) disappeared for two weeks, came and removed the wrong liner and installed new one (again wrong size), filled pool (at my expense) and tried to pass off a job with MANY wrinkles and folds in the finished product, drained pool and removed 2nd liner after I refused to pay final payment. Later same day, brought new liner and began installation. Took approximately two weeks to complete new liner. Final product appears to be correct. Mind you I had to pay for filling the pool 2 times now (not cheap). No written estimates, contracts or receipts were ever given and owner kept asking for more payment throughout process. Original price quote was $1,500 (quote to me). Owner upped the price when dealing with my wife to $1,600 and I had asked them to fix a concrete problem for the extra $100. We paid the extra $100 just to get rid of them and be finished with the job. Had originally asked them to fix / solve a problem with the plumbing on my pumps. They did not. Just re-installed old fitting in same old way, my auxiliay pump is still unusable. Avoid this company at all costs! Their prices may be good, but the service and professionalism is definitely lacking. And two months to complete a liner change? Come on!
