    When I walked into the waiting area, there were about four people in front of me, but by the time I checked in and registered I was the next in line and only waited about ten minutes to be seen. The building is new and clean, a pleasant environment compared to other health care facilities in the area. I was called into a room to check vitals and was quickly taken care of. The doctor came in shortly after the nurse left and was very personable and professional. He told me that he would begin treating me for the kidney infection but would send out the culture to have it tested to verify that the bacteria would respond to the antibiotics and that I would be contacted by the lab either way. I told him that there was a family history with a certain antibiotic not working so he immediately switched to an alternative. The antibiotic worked within a couple days and I was fine.

    Debbie's Adult Care
    Everything is going really well. My mom was a little down on her weight, but since she has been there she has added weight. Debbie takes really good care of her and makes sure everything is very clean throughout the home. She does a great job interacting with my mother. Debbie takes care of making sure she takes the right amount of medicine every morning and evening. The price is very fair. I would recommend any elderly people that meet her qualifications to go over there and meet with Debbie.

    The Physical therapy department associated with Bluefield Regional Medical enter was great with my son.  He had to have therapy to help aid him in walking correctly.   The Therapist, Renee, worked great with him and he really liked going to see her.

    WHen you walk in the door you are greeted and will smell the fragrance of all the great candles they sell. It is a non chain pharmacy so you get individual service that is personal. They will go out of their way to get refills or check with your physician for more information. Even if you have to walk in your wait time is very reasonable. It has a small area to get other medical related items or personal health items. I love the convience and atmosphere and recommend it to everybody.

    This was my first actual surgery. I had my impacted wisdom teeth removed. Because I requested anesthesia, this procedure was preformed by my oral surgeon at a location other than his office. The location he chose was Davis Memorial Hospital, our local hospital. I had a very positive experience during this visit. I had to call the day before my surgery, Tuesday January fourth, at a certain time to set up an appointment time for Wednesday. I got the second appointment. I went in for check-in at 6:45 am for an 8:45 procedure. The patient ahead of me canceled, so I got out more than an hour before expected. There was no line at this hour. I was in a room within the hour of my arrival. (All the billing and pre-examination information was handled in a previous visit.) My room was very comfy and I spent my waiting time watching television with my mom. Several different nurses dropped in while I was waiting. They were all polite and smiling. One took a urine sample, another set up my IV. I was very nervous and felt a little sick. The anesthesiologist after my urine test and IV were handled. She chatted with me about possible risks and what to prepare myself for (I would have a breathing tube inserted while I was under, I might talk, but it would probably be brief and nonsensical, so don't worry, etc.). She did take a cell phone call while she was discussing my history, but it was business related and short. She asked about my experience with nausea. After checking my risk factors, she said I had a very high chance of nausea after the operation. She had a nurse give me a patch and injected my IV with anti-nausea medication. I had a surprisingly short wait. Two new nurses rolled me down the hall. They had a little trouble finding the brakes on the specific bed I was in, but they did their best and didn't crash me into anything. I was rolled into a big, sterile room. The nurse introduced me to everyone who would be helping the surgeon. I remember them covering me up in a warm blanket and telling me we were going to switch beds, but after that, I don't remember anything but waking up. I woke up in a new room to a nurse saying my name. She gave me a few minutes to adjust, checked my vitals and sent me back to my room promptly. The nurses continued to check me out for about an hour, gave me some apple juice to drink, removed my IV and cleared me to go home. A nurse wheeled me out to the parking lot and said goodbye. I was home with a packet of gauze by 11:00 am, which is an hour before they estimated I would be going home initially. This was the fastest visit I've ever had to any hospital. I felt so nervous going in, but the nursing staff was very positive and really put me at ease. Everybody was really efficient. I'm glad that I chose to visit this facility for treatment.

    First of all, I believe they have streamlined their checking in process because I was in a waiting room in about 15 minutes. A nurse practitioner was waiting in the room when I arrived, asked all the questions and then left a gown, said the Dr. would be in shortly. I had just changed and sat back down and the Doctor was in. I have never had that happen before. I went through the reason for the visit, was examined, etc. Then I had 3 x-rays. The x-rays were read, the results discussed with me, given the run down on my prescriptions, and I was on my way. All of this happened in under an hour. Also, when I picked up my prescriptions, they were $4. I appreciate this, as well, when a doctor doesn't prescribe the most expensive thing because your insurance will pay for it. Overall, a great experience (despite the circumstances.)

    The doctor figured out was wrong and got me started on my medicine to start getting better. I would defiantly go back if something came up again and couldn't get in to see my doctor. They were fast and got me taken care of quickly without feeling like they were rushing me out the door.

    This was my first experience with fasting for a procedure and the radiology staff was very friendly and accommodating to my situation. The admission staff handled my paper work quickly and had me on my way within 10 minutes of checking in. The hospital is always very clean and tidy, all departments are clearly marked and easy to find. The radiology staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. I was offered pillows and blankets, any thing to make my procedure more comfortable. The whole collection of X-rays took 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete but it certainly did not feel as long. As a courtesy for having such an early appointment and not being able to eat for many hours before, I was given a $5.00 credit to their cafeteria. Everything is reasonably priced there and the food is always good so I thought that was a really great touch on PCH's behalf. Princeton is my first choice in hospitals for this area and I haven't been disappointed yet.
