We boarded our animals. I find it is easier than hiring someone to just come check on them twice a day. I boarded them for a week.

I see them quite a bit. I went in for normal shots. They been there for boarding, spayed, ear infection, just normal dog stuff. I think he is the best in the area.

I went here to get advice on what to do. They suggested a special food to feed him, and things that he should not eat. This reduced his allergies, which is great! He still has some, but they are not as severe as they were before. This was the first time that I have been here.

    Valley Veterinary Associates
I rescued two dogs  and I wanted them to get checked out they were five years old the family could not have them anymore because when she had the two sisters she didn't have any children now her children are highly allergic with asthma  and everything so she couldn't get rid of them of her children but she didn't  want to separate the two girls so she has been looking for almost two years  for somebody to take in both of them because one of them have canine liver disease and she didn't wanted to split them up because they are very dependent on each other so this was in New Jersey and I said I will take them because I'm a nurse and I've had a dog that had canine liver disease so anyway they are doing great.

Helping Hands Affordable Vet Surg and Dental Care
Our kitten got sick basically overnight. Went from happy-go-lucky to death's door in the course of just a few hours. We took him into a local vet on a Sunday morning and were told, after an ultrasound, that they could see 2 foreign objects in his intestines and that surgery was the only option or he would die within days. The cost of the surgery through that vet was estimated to be $5,500. Because we simply don't have that kind of money, we explained our concerns with the vet who suggested we look up Helping Hands Affordable Veterinary Surgery and Dental Care in Richmond, VA. That same afternoon, my husband googled Helping Hands, found their website and looked up the cost of the surgery ($850). I found it utterly amazing that they list prices right online (and that it would be a fraction of the cost from having the procedure done locally). A call first thing the next morning (8:00 a.m.), and Helping Hands said that they would take our kitten and do the surgery that day. Exemplary customer service and care of our kitten from the start! They realized how dire the situation was and got him in immediately. The office is no nonsense. No frills. Just the necessary check-in and off he went. They were a pleasure to deal with on-site and took equal care when interacting with our cat. Post surgery was just as exemplary. The vet explained that our kitten had eaten half a sandwich bag full of elastic hair ties (they actually give you the bag of what was in his stomach!), offered a lengthy explanation on what to do post-op, how to give meds, what to watch for, how to care for him, etc. For the next ten days, we gave him antibiotics and pain killers orally. He bounced back from the surgery almost immediately and had his sutures out the eleventh day. At one point, we were concerned about the sutures so we emailed a picture of the area to the vet and she responded within an hour, commenting that in this case, it didn't appear to be anything to worry about but that if we were concerned, please bring him in and she'd take a look. No week's wait to get him an appointment like any vet locally, just a 'stop by with him' if you're concerned. These folks actually care about your pet. They cared if he lived or died and I simply can't thank them enough for doing what they do. And to offer this service at a fraction of what our local vet would have. It's unbelievable that folks like this still exist and do business. Truly a blessing.

    All Pets Animal Clinic
I moved from Canada and had to set up appointments for my two cats. I called All Pets and they arranged an appointment quickly. Both cats are on special diets and one is diabetic. I had their records from my Canadian vet for reference which All Pets used. My cats are both healthy and happy. When I need special food or refills of their medication All Pets are quick to respond. Dr. Canfield is very professional and thorough. Everyone at All Pets Animal Clinic have been great., very professional. I highly recommend them.

All breeds pet grooming has been grooming my dogs for over a year.  She is fair in price (28 per small dog) and really cares for your pets.  She works around your schedule and is quick to get your pets in.

We liked to do business with Bed and Biscuits. More importantly, our dog was well cared for. The kennel was very new at the time and I liked the set up. There was a great run for the dogs and I always felt that our dog was safe and secure there. These are good people to do business with.

They allow you to adopt the animals they rescue after a thorough application process. I am happy with what they do.

Teddy is a Chow/Collie mix who was extremely matted and shedding  so much that he left a "yellow-hair road" for us to follow everywhere he went.  He is very loving with us but he has not forgotten the abuse he suffered before my husband and I adopted him eleven years ago, and he is still fearful of strangers even after all that time.  He needs patience, gentle handling and an experienced "dog person".   I knew he would need to be sedated for grooming and I was sure Mary (the excellent groomer who also shaves my 2 Maine C*** cats twice a year!) would have to shave much of Teddy's gorgeous fur because of the terrible matting.  But Mary was so gentle and patient - and is such an excellent groomer! - that Teddy let her brush the mats out and came home looking and feeling like a new dog! My 3 cats all have LUTD and stress almost always triggers outbreaks.  But when I finally got home and picked everyone up (freshly bathed and flea-free!) they were happy to see me but not at all stressed or traumatized at being away from home for so long.  No medical emergencies came up during their stay but based on the way prior situations were handled at the clinic I would have had the utmost confidence in Dr. Amy and staff. While I knew the bill would be high, it was less than I expected for everything that was done.  I received a discount on the cats' boarding fee, was not charged office visit fees for examining and giving booster vaccinations to everyone, and Teddy's grooming fee was less than half of what I had been quoted.  $1000 seems like a lot of money (and it is!) but it is far less than my prior vet would have charged for the same services. From my experiences with Valley Vet Clinic, I recommend them to anyone with no hesitation!
