Contractor arrived and gave an estimate to the approximate cost(s) and promised to be quickly available when we were ready for him (were in the middle of a home repair when the estimate was provided).  When we were at the point in the project we called and he scheduled within the week and made sure he did not hold up the project.  Replaced the duct work, kept it at the estimate, and was very professional when performing the work.  Had used this company previously for my mother, and was also pleased with the prompt, courteous service.  Would definitely recommend them.

Installers were very professional and knowledgeable. Their price was not the lowest, but it was the best value. The service manager came the day after installation, did a full system test, and answered all questions. Would recommend them to anyone.

    Air Duct Maintenance Inc
If you decide to hire this company  you will need to stand over the workers and watch their every move   They spilled screws on  our driveway and left them there.  Also left screws on my dining room table, on the floor in dining room, behind a curio, on a china cabinet and in the carpet of other rooms. The registers were not installed,  just leaning up against duct opening. They had the " flap" installed on the grate part of the register and tried to install it that way. We had to take off the registers, correctly place the "flap" onto the wall, and hunt down screws. Several registers were  not removed due to the way the woodwork was installed. But the screws were not replaced. There was a pile of caulk, and chips of ceramic  wall tile where they tried to pry a register off in the bathroom. The best part was that instead of removing a panel on the furnace for access, they drilled through where they " thought" they needed to be...right into the AC coil. Our  HVAC company came and gave an estimate. Air Duct Maintenance decided that they wanted someone cheaper. So we were without air conditioning on 2 hottest days of the year.  And  ended up paying the $70.00 service call for our HVAC company who were good enough to come out and give an estimate. Since they were unable to remove some registers, I do not know if we had a good cleaning job or not. Their ad states they do video inspection and pictures, but we did not have that. I wrote a letter to the company stating the above problems and some other comments and suggestions.  Why not use a magnetic cup to hold screws you remove, and teach your men to have respect for the customer's property. I also  mentioned that I was writing a review for Angies List.   When I received a return call all I heard was that the crew was not rushed, were not on any time limit, were trained, and also that they had gone through training to know how to behave in customers' homes. ( Apparently this crew failed the " house training" course).   I listened, giving him time to offer some type of apology, or  a refund for the stress and the payment we had to make for the damage they caused to the AC coil.  He never  commented on anything other than  he had a family business, and  focused on himself, not us. I just listened, not wanting to be confrontational. It is sad that some businesses do not realize how much good will can be generated by a satisfied customer.  Several friends asked us about our experience and we  were unable to recommend this company.  I worry about the "cheap fix" that was done on our AC coil.  This tells me his company is worried more about saving a dollar than doing things right. Was it worth it for him to have us pay the HVAC bill and be without air conditioning for two days, and not be concerned that  his crew did not know something as simple as how to remove and replace ordinary registers?

    My Air Duct Pro
My spouse booked this company to conduct Air Duct and HVAC cleaning through Groupon (you get what you pay for is all I'm saying) without having done much research about the company or their service.  Shortly after arrival (approximately 8-10 minutes), one of the two technicians (which is being generous...they both showed up dressed in sloppy shorts and t-shirts and acted like arrogant college frat boys without the education) announced that we had mold in the system and that it needed to be treated immediately.  He then informed us that treatment for mold was imperative and that "basically cleaning the ducts without it would be a waste of time." After giving us an unnecessary pitch about the evils of mold and mildew and the threat it presents to our home and health, he informed us that their mold treatment was performed with "safe chemicals" and that it would only cost an additional $1,400.00. When we made inquires about the cost, he informed us that they are a "nationally recognized company" and that they "work with Angie's List and others (unidentified)."  A quick check on Angie's List showed no recommendations.  Other consumer ratings (Yelp, etc.) showed 1-star ratings and everyone remarked on the horrible service and attempts to increase the price of their services.  Further, there seems to be some issue with the company's name and its actual affiliation...at different times, the technician informed us that they were affiliated with "All State Ducts Cleaners," "My Air Duct Pro," and "My Little Duct City" (I'm not kidding)...his invoice listed both All State and My Air Duct Pro.  Obviously, they were some sort of subcontractors, but the technician was not able to articulate this.  Perhaps something was lost in translation, but I do not speak either modern Hebrew or Spanish, and so we were forced to communicate in broken English. After some argumentation and discussion, during which time the senior technician completely denied that his company had ever received bad reviews (even when shown on my computer), he called is manager in an attempt to convince me to accepted the extra cost/services.  The manager seemed distracted and tried to have a conversation with me and another client (or so he claimed).  I told him to call me back when he was finished with his other client.  The technicians then went to work, dragging their dirty vacuum hoses around the house with little regard for walls or furniture. Bottomline: Avoid this service provider and go with a trusted and well-reviewed company on Angie's List...many of which provide the same service recommended by this merchant at a much lower and affordable cost.
