    Farzaneh Hassani MD
It's easy getting to see Dr. Farzaneh Hassani and talking to her and her nurses and staff. If I get a refill of my prescriptions, it all went good. Wait time is not that long. The office environment is fine. She always takes her time with me. She doesn't rush me when I'm in there.

My PCP Dr. Triplett is truly amazing. He has been my physician since 1989. He listens and inquires about my medications, existing health issues, or any concerns/labs/x-rays I may have or need. He has always came through on any work related documentation such as FMLA paper work or work release documents that I request .I would highly recommend him as a PCP to any person or family.

    Carico, Dr. Gregory A.
I would definitely recommend him for service. He has a very good bedside manner. He explains to the patient very well his diagnosis and what treatments are necessary. He communicates very well with the patient. I will definitely continue to see him.

    Dunbar Medical Associates
It is interesting to note that after returning to WV after a year in NM, the P.A. at Dunbar Medical Associates immediately took care of an illness that the NM doctors and their P.A. did not take care of.   I kept telling the NM health care providers the medicine they were giving me was not working, yet they kept prescribing it and only the one thing.  This went on for two or three months.  When I got back to WV, Chris Kennedy, P.A., took a look, listened to what I had to say, and wrote a prescription which started to cure me that same day.   I hate to say it, but where I was in NM, not only was the weather harsh, but medical care leaved much to be desired.  There was only one ob-gyn in town and no specialists.  To get to a specialist was about 80 miles.  I had to pay someone to drive me the 160 miles round trip. It was just too much for me. My primary care doctor there helped me with some issues and did not or could not help me with other issues.   In NM, my primary care doctor did use a magnifying glass and stated that he did see where a tick had bitten me.  This was after the red bull's eye rash had disappeared.  He treated me for ear infections, with and without ruptures of the eardrum, for months.  Only someone who has had one can tell you how miserable a bulging middle ear infection is when in Europe they are allowed to perforate eardrum and drain the infection, whereas in NM, no doctor was allowed to perforate and drain the infection.  Enough pain and pressure and my eardrum finally burst on one side and gave me relief.  Maybe a specialist 80 miles away may or may not have been able to do it.   All in all, I must say my primary care doctor in NM did a very good job with my health care for the most part.  The P.A. and staff were well below par.  The doctor was great when he especially helped me with some much needed paperwork.  For that I cannot thank him enough. I use the example above to compare what a fine practice Dunbar Medical Associates is compared with another group of medical associates. I have shown up in the morning with a swollen animal bite and been seen the same morning.   Once I was so ill, I just showed up without calling and was seen.  I drug myself to my car and managed to drive the couple of miles to Dunbar Medical Associates and was seen.  Have you ever felt too ill to make the phone call.  I would recommend doing this only if you are really, really ill. The only reason I gave the office environment a "C" was because they have done away with the coffee machine.  It was so old I don't think it was repairable anymore.  They did get in another machine, but perhaps people were drinking too much coffee and hot chocolate and tea.  A sad loss to anymore who has been going there for 10 years or more. If there is ever a delay in punctuality, it is because the doctors and staff are helping someone like me who just walked in because I really needed help and who wants to pay a lot and wait a very long time in a hospital E.R.? The nursing staff is excellent.   The doctors and staff do so many things for their patients that do not require office visits and thus are not charged.  IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GREAT COMPASSIONATE GROUP OF MEDICAL CAREGIVERS, GO TO DUNBAR MEDICAL ASSOCIATES IN DUNBAR, WV.  Some folks drive quite a few mile to get there. As to billing and administration, I always give a middle grade cause those are mystery areas to me.  I'm sure they do a good job; I just hardly interact with them.  A great big hug to Lori who handles the medical prescriptions.  She must have a zillion things to do but handles them like a pro.

    Charleston Internal Medicine
My husband went to Charleston Internal Medicine just recently.  I went in March and he went in April.  I really have no health problems, just high blood pressure, but I like the way they manage that.  They don't force me to take medicine that I don't want to take.  And if I want to try and control it by diet and exercise they let me do that.  So that's what I like, I like to have a little say in my health care what I have to do, and they let me do that.  Now my doctor is Dr. Tysman and I really like him.  Very, very nice.

    Akins, Dr. James A.
He is thorough in everything he does. I like to go into doctors? offices where things are nice and orderly; I don?t like going where there is chaos. He structures his appointments very orderly, and the office is run in that fashion. It is prim and proper; it is a nice place to be. There may be a couple of people in the waiting room, but that is generally about all that I am going to see. He does not overbook like so many medical people do. The diagnostic and review processes are orderly. They follow up on things well. They are punctual, and I presume they expect their patients to be punctual as well. I think that stands out in his case. He has a very nice well-organized efficient office. I would recommend him to others. I would rate him highly in terms of his office and its interfaces and operations. They are very cordial. I am pleased with him. He analyzes problems, gets the necessary testing performed where appropriate, and if there is a problem that needs greater scrutiny, he refers me to a specialist to look at it. I would continue to use him in the future.

I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment that afternoon. Everyone I dealt with in the practice was both punctual and pleasant. I always feel like a valued client when I go here. I was given a prescription for prednisone, but after looking up the side effects I have decided to try homeopathic alternatives to that drug first. But getting the prescription helped me know what direction to look so far as therapy options.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were attentive, helpful, and friendly. I saw Dr. Sun and she took her time. She did not make me feel rushed, and explained things in detail. She was very attentive and had a great bedside manner. They were very quick with getting back with me, and they were very professional.

Everything about them was good. I really like their doctor. I was able to establish a rapport with him. He was super friendly, and he took his time with me. I did not feel rushed like with other doctors. He was very knowledgeable. I would absolutely use them again in the future.
