    Beaver Dam Veterinary Clinic
They are johnny on the spot, my dog got bit by an animal and I just took her right in. If you aren't there on time, they don't take you. I don't wait long in the waiting room. Yes, I would use them again.

    DECORAH ANIMAL HOSPITAL
They always take fabulous care of our cats. One time the Dr. gave us recommendations on how to cure our ill cat, and these suggestions kept our cat alive for several years. Dr. Bauman always knew what to do and couldn't say anything better about her. She was so caring and just REALLY knows her stuff. She takes good care of the animals overall and I love this hospital!

I had to take her back a second time because the hair was very choppy and cut uneven, so it was a bad haircut. And the second time when I picked her up, I still wasn’t quite happy with it. They did let me take her back the second time. I think they could just be staffed better and have more time with the cut. Both times I took her they were complaining about just how busy they were, obviously it showed in their work.

Kalina is very friendly & a real animal lover! Our boys just love her & were comfortable from the get go!
When I picked them up they were not frazzled at all but very happy to have been in her care.

    Always Sitting Pretty
Debbie (the owner) quickly developed a bond with our normally very suspicious cat.  She was able to play with him and do some grooming, both of which he would never let a stranger do to him.  She kept a written record of each of her visits, and the kitchen and litter box area were just as clean as when we left.  We got nearly daily text and email updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away from home.  Debbie was also quick to respond to the few questions we had, getting back to us outside of normal business hours.
When we arrived back, our cat was in good spirits.  He greeted us and was very playful... unlike the hiding, quiet, and stressed out cat we've come home to after previous trips when we did not use a professional pet sitter.  The small cost of the service was something we were glad to pay to ensure we had a happy and healthy kitty during our vacation.

    Layton Animal Hospital
We have 3 miniature pinchers that we have taken to Layton Animal Hospital for the past 16 years. Their staff is fantastic, the vets are great, they all go out of their way to meet the needs of our dogs. We could not be happier and would not go to another vet clinic in the area. We cannot say enough wonderful things about them. They are very prompt with appointments if there is a need to get your animal in quickly, so accommodating.

    EAST TOWNE VETERINARY CLINIC
We have brought two cats recently to East Towne after adoption from the Humane Society.  They accepted the certificate for the free checkup without problem, gave a thorough examination, and answered all our questions.  Products such as for heartworm were discussed but not pushed.  We were very happy with the care provided at East Towne.

New to the area the vet did vaccinations and one dog was not feeling well the vet himself called my house a few days later to check on
the dog, I was amazed as this never happens so the medical care was very good. But I used them for boarding a few weeks later and they only walked my dogs twice a day and the dogs had to use the bathroom in the kennel. My one dog got an infection and was in pain for a few days because she held it and did not go to the bathroom much, so I would not board there ever again, but the vet medical care I thought was good.

They are also the only place I know of that will groom cats.  I followed her from different locations.  Cara is extremely friendly, treats all the pets in there as if they were her own.  A lot of times groomers don't treat dogs as well as their own.  Every time he comes out he has a bandana on festive to the time of year it is.  He also gets a Christmas stocking each year, she takes some pictures of the dogs and puts them up on her wall of fame.  It's shocking to me that she does all these extras.  Those scarves cost $5 each from where she buys them.

    PARKDALE PET CARE
Right now we are doing chemo therapy for his bladder cancer. With this type of bladder cancer for dogs there is an anti-inflammatory that is cheap and works as a chemo drug for dogs with bladder cancer. it keeps him comfortable and it can stunt the growth of the tumor. They said with it he could get an additional year. The cool thing is that within 2 days of being on that medicine he totally perked up. He's been on it since May. The entire office staff and their bedside manner is unbelievable. They really treat you like they are part of your family. I've had cats and this was the only vet they went to. There was a lot of caring and concern when the cats had to be euthanized. They are extremely personable. You could probably find a country vet that is cheaper but you wouldn't necessarily have the quality of care. For me it's worth it, other people might say it's just a dog or it's just a cat.
