Our five year old freezer had a problem. The items in the top portion of the freezer where completely thawed, the items in the bottom of the freezer were frozen. We called KMA to see if a repair on a freezer was worth the ROI. The repair man came out, said it was just the fan that takes the air and circulates it, essentially the cold air was left at the bottom and the air at the top became warm. The part was ordered, installed, but when the technician came up from installing the fan, he said that the part didnt come with a wire for the heater assembly/it is just not made that way anymore, which meant that the auto defrost wouldnt work. The freezer would work fine, but that meant our freezer would have to be manually defrosted when it frosted up. To me, that meant once every other year. He left a price on the answering machine later that day saying it would increase the cost of repair by $85 if we wanted to order it. I didnt call back right away, I wanted to see how much that freezer cost originally to see what its value was. A couple of weeks later, after we bought food, my husband noticed that the freezer was not working, it was like no repair had been done. I called to say, not only did we not want to have that heater assembly, our repaired freezer wasnt working. I was told someone would get back to me. I forgot about it. About a month later I got a bill for the repair, and a note saying I never called back. I called back saying not only had I called in, I had said that I was having a problem with the repair. About a month after that, I received another bill saying that I was over 30 days past due. So I called again, stating I had called in, and I had a problem with the repair. Finally I connected with the Service Manager, who I felt was telling me that the unit needs to be defrosted every other week, the fan had failed because I refused the heater, and because of overuse. He offered to come in and look at it. When he did, he saw that the blade was blocked by the way the cover had been put on. For the heater unit, he spliced the wire together so the original heater worked with the new fan.

It turned out really well.  They're very professional and got the job done quickly in a time frame.  The good thing was he was able to call half an hour before he's going to come.  He stood there for four hours waiting for somebody.

They were very nice. They got it done quicker than I thought they would. They had to order a part and came in quick. They had a little trouble getting it but he kept calling until he found it. I really liked him. It's an excellent quality.

    ALL APPLIANCE SERVICE
I ordered the service with my credit card & Steve from All Appliance Service never called me back.  I sent him an e-mail this morning & he finally contacted me only to tell me that he does not do dryer vents in upstair condo units.  I wish this would have been on the website.

They have been at our house 3 times for the repair of a 6 month old  washer. First time repairman complained that he would not move the washer alone as it is on a pedestal and in a cabinet. He wanted my husband to build a platform and he wanted us to move the washer onto it. Next time he  brought another person but still did not repair the washer nor did he even look at it as they would not move the washer(we had not moved it).  He said it had to be more accessible and he didn't want to get "involved with the drain hoses". This all for a small washer(apartment sized). We have had both another washer and 2 dryers that are in the same location serviced by local repairmen without any problem. Finally, I moved the washer myself prior to his 3rd visit. He ordered parts the 3rd time but complained to himself all the time while doing his job.  Also, the repairman was rude and was late each time.  He went on and on about how his supervisors would write him up for moving the washer. I don't think he cared at all about what I thought about their service. I did have a 4 hour window for service that the company did confirm but each time they said he would call when on the way, did not happen. After 2nd visit I called to complain to A & E but had to talk to someone who was very difficult to understand. I asked for a supervisor and was transferred to someone who said he could not contradict the repairman in the field. I asked that at least they send out a different repairman. The same guy came the 3rd time. If I was able to switch companies I would but this washer is under warranty and this is who Whirlpool has contracted. Because of this I will not purchase a Whirlpool appliance again.

After reviewing the firm on Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau we contacted them because our LG Refrigerator was making a lot of strange noises and LG had provided their name to us.
Although the refrigerator was keeping our food cool we were concerned that it could stop running or worse, resulting in an emergency and possible significant food spoilage.
As it happened Dean was in the West Bend area on another call and was able to come over on the same day we called even though it was late in the day.
Dean immediately suspected that the problem was the starter and felt at least 80% sure it would solve the problem.
Knocking on wood it appears he was right on the money as we have not heard any strange noises since he did the installation.
We were very satisfied with his service and professionalism.

Day 1 - Dryer problem: the dryer rattled loudly for the whole dry time. Andy arrived within the 3 hour window allotted. He was at my home for about 2 hours, tearing the dryer apart and putting it back together. He found the problem and fixed it. In the process, he broke the vent (which I understood having to move the dryer) and said he left the parts to fix it. My husband and I thought he was joking but after he left we found he wasn't joking and left the parts expecting US to fix it. I did not want to use the dryer because the vent was not hooked up and that was a bit frustrating. We were charged exactly what they quoted. He was very clean about the job and did not leave any sort of mess except the broken vent pipe.
Day 2 - Washer problem: The washing machine repeated and quot;got stuckand quot; in the middle of the wash time when it had to pump the dirty rinse water out. I tried for a month to get it to work properly via troubleshooting the error codes. I was pretty sure the problem was with the pump, but I'm not an expert. Andy came back over, tore the machine apart, was here another 2 hours and then came up and said he did not find the problem, which completely surprised me. He said he would think about it and try to figure it out. Immediately after he left, I started a load of wash, only to have the machine do exactly what it had been doing all along. I emailed Andy right away and explained exactly what happened.
Day 3 (2 business days later) - Kathy Minster called me to say Andy worked troubleshooting with the manufacturer and they agreed that there was a problem with the pump, so Andy came back to replace the pump. This took about 2 hours, but Kathy told me they would only charge me for the new part (the pump) since Andy was already here 2 days prior. This was today and I've run 2 loads of bedding which always caused the machine to error - so far so good!
Positives: Nice service tech, charged as promised, worked very clean, ended up finishing the job.
Negatives: Broke the vent and left it but taped it up after we asked about it on day 2. Should have replace the broken vent when he broke it.

Arranged an appointment on-line about 10 days ago for freezer repair.  Got an immediate auto-reply confirming my appointment between 8-12 on the Saturday I requested.  No further communication was rec'd.  Mid-morning on Saturday, I got nervous they weren't coming, called the 1-800 line and my order was confirmed as in the system for 8-noon.  At 11:20, I called again and was told the same.  At 11:40 I got an automated recorded call saying they were experiencing delays and it would be after noon, no further detail or timeframe was provided.  I called around 2:00 and was told it would be around 4:00.  At 2:45, the repairman called me and said he'd be here by 3:30.  At 4:00, no sign of him yet so I called the 1-800 and told them to just forget it and cancel the order.  The repairman drove up about 5 minutes later.  I decided to let him go ahead and look at the freezer.  He took one look at it and said, it's not plugged in so I won't be able to tell what's wrong with it.  No one had told me it needed to be plugged in.  I told him I had waited all day and had just cancelled his service anyway, so I wasn't paying the mandatory $75 service call for him to tell me that, and to just never mind.  I felt sorry for the guy, an older man who is probably a fine appliance repair person, when he told me he had just gotten the order an hour ago.  He gets them one by one and takes them as they come in.  The call center is out-of-country and the staff are not given instructions for what type appliance or how to prepare.  He was obviously as frustrated as was I.  It was a no-win situation.  I will not call Sears Repair Service for any repairs again, an will stick to a "buy local" approach.

Front Loader washer not working- would not even trun on. Refrigerator had been leaking for quite some time and former repairmen unable to fix. The washer needed a new igniter and was fixed in a very short time. The service tech knew exactly what kept the fridge leaking and fixed it-without any expensive parts. He was personable and professional

What impressed me most was he showed me how to do it myself so I did not have to spend this money again in a year or two. On some washers this is easily accessible but is not clear on the GE model I have nor did I find it in the manual. This is my second time using them. I highly recommend their honest, punctual, reasonably priced service.
