    Mad City Windows & Baths
Thanks to Mad City Bath for redoing bathroom. They changed our very small vintage baby blue walk in shower to a full tub/shower with microban. The sales team did a great job figuring out what we needed and putting together a quote. The install team was very knowledgeable. They were careful not to get the rest of the house dirty while they had to blow out a wall to make room for the new tub. They did a great two day job!

    Crossland Tile Transformations LLC
Fraud ALERT! Chris Crossland is a total fraud! We bought a house this May and wanted to do tile flooring of a bathroom. I found him on a "pro list" from the Tile Shop. He mentioned that he has dust-free equipments and can do the job quickly and neatly during the estimation. He took our deposit and promise to finish job in a week. But he never showed up again, did not do any job and won't return my phone call or messages. He even used his kids (claiming them sick) as an excuse to get my sympathy so he had the time to cash my check before he disappeared. We are suing him now. I have screenshots of the text messages before he disappeared, will post if needed. I hope more people could see this and not get defrauded by him any more!

Matt was wonderful to work with. He explained the process very well and I was very comfortable knowing he would do a great job. He was timely and got the work done quicker than expected. The quality of his work is exceptional. He takes great care and pride in his work. We are extremely happy and will definitely hire him for our next project.

    Adam's Handyman & Remodeling Service
Adam and Pat were AWESOME to work with. Very thorough in their approach and consistent in their initial proposal and estimate. They made sure the bathroom remodel was perfect upon completion - they were very exact and detailed in all execution. Adam was really thorough and good at explaining any changes or surprises that came up along the way so that I could make informed decisions on all purchases. Even with that, they were able complete the project on budget. The remodel turned out exactly as we wanted it to! Super modern, clean and no longer "grandma's bathroom."  These guys are the real deal!

Remodeling projects can quickly get off schedule if all of the contractors don't complete their part of the project on time.  There was a lot to be done on this project prior to Matt's tile work (plumbing; electrical, HVAC, and construction), but it was all done on time and Matt showed up on the scheduled date as planned.

He had 2 full weeks of work to do as there was a lot of prep work to be done before the tile could be installed.  I work from home so I was able to see first-hand all of the work that went into the project and I was very impressed with the work Matt did and the care he took to make the tile look perfect.  Matt is meticulous and it shows in his work.

Matt was willing to work on different parts of the project so the entire project could move forward. For example, I scheduled the installation of the vanities in each bath one week into Matt's tile work, so it was imperative that the floors be 100% completed before the vanities could go in. Matt often worked past 5:30 or 6pm in order to meet the deadlines that we agreed on and the vanities were installed on schedule.

We had niches in both the tub area and in the shower for storing shampoo/conditioner and other accessories, as well as a tiled bench at the back end of the tub and they look very custom and professional.  Matt was receptive to ideas and suggestions and he provided several of his own so that we ended up with bathrooms that we are proud of.

We couldn't be happier with the results and we'd recommend that anyone interested in having tile work done in their home or business should hire Matt to do the work.

    thanks,
    Jonny & Laurie

They were very particular and they will make it right. They were very good to work with and the same guys work over the years. They've been doing this for a long time and the owner is very particular. He really works to get things right. I had a door put in and it didn't close and he came months afterwards and it was easy to fix. But there was no problem they came out of their way and did it quickly that's why I really enjoyed working with them.

He removed existing faucets and then discovered that the opening for the new faucet wasn't wide enough on the sink. He didn't have the tools or desire to widen the opening to fit the faucet. He Told my husband to do that himself. Charged $148, took our water supply lines when he left. Was on the phone repeatedly during the 2 hours he was here. Got the feeling he didn't even want to do the job. Our bathroom sink was left like this for weeks. Husband never called back, finally husband did it himself, saving us alot of money and attitude.

    Triad Renovations

Pedro had done some work at a neighbors house. The neighbor was happy and brought him over to look at a job . I had hung

the drywall but wasn't comfortable doing the taping and sanding. I asked how much he would charge for a few hours work. He said he didn't work  like that and said he would do the job for one thousand dollars. I should have just said no but I stupidly said go

ahead as he was there and my friend was satisfied. The job took about three hours total. It was a good job but I just felt really ripped off. I suppose anyone can charge anything but 333.00 per hour to sand and paint was a ripoff. I paid as I had said go ahead but I'll never call Pedro again.

    Oakridge Construction of WI Inc
Duane toured the site, identifying a couple of my concerns as non-issues, but validated most concerns and identified a couple new serious mistakes by the general contractor that ultimately included inadequate structural support placing my home at risk of future collapse. His professionalism was apparent from not only his knowledge, but also Duane refused any compensation for his time and he apologized that anyone in his profession would do this to me. A protracted legal situation ensued to assess damages, untangle questionable financials and terminate the contract with my first builder. Duane provided additional guidance as to best repair options and expected costs. Duane's deep expertise and demonstrated integrity throughout the process made him my choice to trust taking over construction as general contractor to make required repairs and complete my home. ||Duane worked effectively with subcontractors whose work was partially complete under my first contractor (electrician, plumber, HVAC, etc.), as well as brought in new subcontractors that he previously worked with and trusted. As work resumed, more problems arising from the previous builder surfaced that added significant cost, schedule delays and many hours of Duane's project management time. Duane's advice was invaluable on best trade-offs to manage overall budget and construction quality, and he diligently searched for multiple subcontractor quotes who could best limit cost over-runs while doing quality work in the race to get me into the house ASAP. At present, I've moved in under a temporary occupancy permit, so there are still some items for Duane/subcontractors to complete. I trust that Duane will get things complete, and warranty the work under his oversight. Oakridge was neither the cheapest nor most expensive. But when you build a house, particularly for the first time like myself, you need a general contractor who has deep, hands-on experience to know the right way to build a house that will give you pleasure in years to come instead of headaches and expenses. In addition, they need to calmly and effectively work with you to handle the unexpected complications. They must also have high personal and professional integrity as you need to rely on their advice for making inevitable trade-off decisions and their honesty handling your construction funds. Duane Ehle/Oakridge Construction exemplifies all these. The only significant problem I've observed are an occasional non-responsive subcontractor who wasn't part of Duane's trusted network. I suspect it was either misplaced loyalty to the previous general contractor, or since Oakridge isn't a large firm, subcontractors new to him aren't motivated to impress Oakridge under the expectation of significant future work through Duane. Overall, I'd highly recommend Duane Ehle/Oakridge Construction for new home construction or re-modeling work. He offers high value for a fair price, and is very pleasant to work with on what is a very stressful activity!

    Luedtke Remodeling
We hired "Ben" after he responded to a request for Handyman work on Craigs List. He showed up for our initial visit on time and very neatly dressed. Personality was charming and he "seemed" to know what he was talking about. We provided him with a list of general painting and a bathroom remodel that we would like him to complete, he gave us what we thought were pretty good bids for the completion so we hired him. SERIOUSLY, one of the BIGGEST mistakes we ever made! Everything he touched was a complete disaster! We spent thousands more "correcting" his "so called" guaranteed work. We actually cancelled a material order and paid the restock price rather than let him do anything else to our house. Be weary of him, he has also started businesses under other names. Might be to avoid the "bad press"
