    Dean's Deck Construction
They were timely, communicative and did what they said, which is better than most contractors we have dealt with. Very pleased with the quality of work and choices of color, style and materials offered.

I am extremely impressed with this company. Kevin was a few minutes ahead of time, which was great, excellent communication from Jamie at their front office to include follow-up calls, work was performed with detailed recommendations and on the spot corrections. I would absolutely hire them again and will likely do so soon.

Good, I think. However, I called to ask them to return as we spotted a gutter that was letting water gush through it. I felt it was just an oversight on their inspection. I called a second time, and still have not had anyone here to look at it. That has been a few months ago now.

    Dean's Deck Construction
Dean did a fantastic job. He communicated well from material selection to project completion. We are very happy with his work in transforming our deck. Our job took longer than he had expected, but there was never a discussion about revisiting the quoted price. Dean is meticulous in his work and it shows. We would certainly hire him again and highly recommend him.

We had two decks in different parts of the house and one of them had been built with a swimming pool on top of it. It was not in place that we could use it so we tore that down and recycled some of the hardware and extended the deck because we wanted it a little bit larger.

    Accurate Power Washing
I couldn't be happier with Mike's work and the way he does business.  He came out to meet me, we walked around the house, he gave an estimate on the spot.  Very nice guy, and his wife Patty, who does the scheduling back at the office, is wonderful to talk to.  The price for the size and difficulty of the job was, I thought, extremely reasonable--I was 'sold' from the get-go and didn't need to get more estimates, which with our busy schedules, I appreciate.  He refused my offer of a deposit, saying, 'you don't pay until the work is done and you're happy with it'.
Mike advertises the powerwash as 'top to bottom', and it was.  Everything from a mossy roof overhang at the front porch, to the highest gables, to the concrete front stoop and concrete patio at the basement walkout.  He was probably at our house about four hours, total. The house looks great.   Sounds corny, but everything looks so new; you don't realize, over time, how dirty things get. Mike is very conscientious about landscaping and moving things around that are in his way and then putting him back.  Except for the house looking new, you wouldn't have known he had ever been there.
When he was done, at Mike's request, we walked around to review his work--which is another thing I really like.
Again, very reasonable price, great quality of work, nice people to work with--what more can you ask and pay for?

    Dean's Deck Construction
Our experience with Dean was fantastic. Dean was extremely accommodating, personable, professional and knowledgable. It was very refreshing to have someone we could trust doing the work who was honest, hardworking and obviously loves what he does for a living. He raved about his employee who was here working as well, how nice is that?... to hear someone appreciating his employee. Our yard, patio and drive, everywhere they worked was protected during work times and clean when they left. We've never, overall, been this pleased with a contractor of any kind, words can't say how pleased we are.

Frey Construction & Home Improvement, LLC
The work was all fine--the soffit panels were removed and reinstalled in fine fashion, and the spray foam part of the job seems to have been done well, too.  We are looking forward to warmer floors in our bedrooms this winter.
I bear the responsibility of not doing my homework.  I think I paid a premium (too much) for what turned out to be general contractor services.  A Frey employee removed the soffit panels and reinstalled them, but otherwise the project was done by a non-Frey subcontractor.  If I had to to do it over again, I would have looked into contacting a spray-foam insulation contractor directly.
There was foam overspray (speckles) left on my siding, brickwork, and deck and some roofing nails driven into my deck railing--left after the work was done.  Not a lot, but, more than I wanted to clean up, given the price I had paid for the project.  It took about four calls to Frey over a two week period to get someone to return my calls and set up a time to come look at the needed overspray / nails cleanup.  That was disappointing, since one of Frey's selling points is their follow-through; their visits to the job sites to check on project completion and customer satisfaction; their project management.  The bill for the project was in my mailbox two days after the foam was sprayed, but no one could return my calls.  Not the end of the world, but, again, disappointing for what you think you've paid for.  The cleanup was done, at least enough that I didn't mind doing the last few specks myself.  I don't like the nail holes in my deck railing, but, I can fill those and reseal over them in less time than it would take to ask them to come back and fix them.
The initial estimate was about double, because they had automatically included replacing the soffit panels and related aluminum trim/cladding with brand-new.  When I questioned why they needed to replace what I thought was perfectly good siding, they removed that part of the project from the quote and said they aren't always able to remove the pieces without damaging them. I asked that they try, and it worked fine.  That, to me, was a little off-putting, like the project was being padded.  But I understand that could be standard practice--replace rather than re-use.
But, again, I didn't do my homework, should have done more research, should have gotten more quotes and second opinions, so I accept responsibility for choosing Frey to do this project and accepting their quoted price for doing it.  That said, my experience was a letdown, given the price paid, all the other great reviews I see, and their local reputation.

    STEVE MARX CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN
Marx brought his equipment to site and demoed 3 shed buildings. He placed the remains in dumpsters and removed the foundations and leveled the area out. He was on time and on budget. My only suggestion would be that he have required me to remove the windows to elimate the broken glass.

    Greg Hensen Builders
The entire process, from bid to project completion, went very smoothly.  Some minor adjustments were made during the project and were incorporated into the workflow seamlessly.  The fact that we intend on using Beau again next year, speaks to our satisfaction with his quality of work.
