    True Veterinary Care
As first time dog owners, we were unsure of what to look for in a veterinarian so we looked to recommendations from friends and recent Best of Madison ratings. True was brought to our attention via Best of Madison and as they were close to home, we decided to give them a try and we are so glad we did! Dr. Sarah and her staff are so sensitive to the wellbeing and needs of their patients (and owners). I was nervous that first visit that my pup was going to be scarred for life and never ever want to go to the vet, but I didn't need to worry at all. They know how scary and stressful new environments can be and being the true professionals that they are, they got down on the floor with him and gave him lots of love and treats...I think he likes it more there than at home! They are quick to respond to emails, even after hours, and we've sent a fair few since we brought him home. They also utilize text messaging for important updates and appointment reminders, which was incredibly helpful when he had to go spend some time at the office due to some tummy issues.

I cannot say enough about what a wonderful job Julie did. My pets have a lot of particular requirements and Julie did everything that the animals required, plus a ton more! When I came home my animals were super happy and relaxed, all thanks to Julie!

They do the playgroups every saturday, provide nice coffee + donuts.
I moved over to them from Taby and Jack's which is very good but far from my new house.
Out of 12+ weeks I went there, I and my dog had a good time,
I was expecting the same last saturday but was just the opposite.
There was a new lady managing the playgroup and she wanted to bring some new rules, such as "dog owners always watch dogs" , which I usually do, except when I have to step out into their hallway to grab a coffee.
When I took off a few seconds and came back, this lady (she calls herself management) was standing there staring at me, and she almost shouted saying I needed to stay with the dog. I understood she is having a bad day, but decided to be compliant.
My dog is a teddy bear pup named buttercup, he is 16lb does not hurt anyone (or cannot). But he loves to mingle. He was trying to get on top of another dog, owned by a pregnant woman (and I am asian Indian male) - just get on top, not for any other intentions. Usually, in such cases the people around (especially managers) gently pull the mounting dog so nobody is annoyed.  And I always encourage them to do so.
However, this person, who, for some reason (which I do not understand even now) , was already annoyed with me, says to me , "you need to keep your dog under control otherwise he needs to be on leach".   This is the very first time my dog, out of 3 years he has been with us, received such a comment. Puzzled, I asked her, why? isn't this  what many dogs do? (In fact there was another small dog always trying to mount my dog)? At this point, she escalated the altercation towards asking me to leave. She  even offered me full refund, after I reminded that my dog is not violent to demand such an action and, also I earned the right to be there.
The only reason she gave me was she wants to give the pregnant customer's dog a pleasant time. Which, I totally agree, but not by evicting a compliant customer like me!
I decided to exercise my right to be there, rest of the hour and I stayed there with my dog. I made sure he does not mount the pregnant woman's dog.   I in fact told that woman that she can feel free to let me know if there is a problem (and she was not really complaining to my knowledge)
My dog has been there 12 weeks and has never been perceived as someone who needs a leach.
And I never received such an invitation to leave the place for such compliant behavior.
I am Mano Mohanram and can be reached at 608 886 7682, to validate the details.
I intend to visit this place one more time test if this was a one-time thing, or if I need to need to take this legal.
I was going to recommend this place, and also possibly hire them to board my dog this summer, but it may not happen due to last Saturday.
I do not want people to like or appreciate me, but they had no right to ask me to leave.

They are excellent. They are kind of old school and small. They know their people and pets. I have been dealing with them for years. When I have had issues where I have had to put my animals to sleep they were just on point. They helped me a lot. They are very comfortable with my dogs. They are not fancy, big or ostentatious, they just do what they do and do it well.

    Paws Away Pet Sitting
With our cat approaching 17 years of age and requiring daily medication, it's no longer possible to leave him on his own while we vacation. I contacted Paws Away Pet Sitting and was contacted by the owner, Julie who set up an appointment to come to the house, meet the cat (and our 2 dogs), see where everything was located in the house, and review the paperwork she had provided ahead of time which covered the cat's health, behavior and care requirements as well as other services we wanted her to perform in our absence. we asked for our mail to be brought in and outside flowers to be watered when needed but she will do other things as well such as turning on and off lights, bringing garbage to the curb, etc. Julie's knowledge is impressive. She is a certified veterinary technician and had a lot of great insight as to problems the cat has been having and provided some suggestions. We hired her for 6 days, and all went well. I texted a couple times to see how things were going and received responses. When we returned, the cat was doing great. Would have been nice to have some sort of 'report card' indicating daily time of visit and general comments about behavior, appetite, etc. That is just my personal preference, I'm big on communication. Her rates are very reasonable and she's been in business since 1995, very well established in the area. Will definitely hire again.

I think he's a really good cancer specialist for a dog.  He was very nice.  I believe it's a reasonable price that we paid.  They had a number of people that came in and talked to us about different aspects of what was going on with our dog.  The veterinarian that we usually go to got us an appointment for this oncologist for Monday and then when the oncologist actually looked at the labs, x-rays and things, he said, "I'm thinking of you coming Friday morning."  He's helped us because the dog might have been dead by then.  He's right on time.  In the beginning, he was talking about pests and all these kind of stuff and he allowed me to stop him and just tell him what was going on with our dog, so he listened.  Then, as we talked more, he felt around and did different things and so he was extremely informative and helped us make the decision we needed to make.

Katie was awesome. Our cat took a very quick turn for the worst and was in her final stages of renal failure and didn't want her to suffer any longer than she had too. And we felt that she deserved better than passing on a steel table in a vet's office. We left a message late at night and she returned our call promptly at 6am and went over our cat's condition and she also briefly explained services provided and she was able to be there the same morning at 8am.
When she arrived she explained the process to us and how it would go. She was very gentle with handling her during the process. Katie made sure that she was in no pain and she passed very calmly and peacefully in front of her fireplace. Once she had passed she discussed all the packages provided and we went with the highest (Platinum) plan because she was worth every penny of it. She also provided us with a paw print of our cat in clay for a keepsake and shaved off a bit of her hair for us to keep. Then once all the paperwork was done, she gently wrapped up our cat and let us use a blanket of hers. She was all wrapped up tight like a baby. Katie said that once she was cremated and her ashes were ready she would call us and drop them off to us. She said it would probably be early in the week, but then called us Sunday afternoon and we had her back a lot sooner than we thought. When we got her back, the urn was beautiful and we also received another paw print, a small necklace with her remains, and we will be getting a garden stone for her in about 4 weeks.
Yes, it was 600 dollars, but we think that with what was provided as far as care and services it was worth every penny. Our cat meant the world to us and know she will be able to be with us forever. It was a small price to pay for an eternity of love and memories.
Katie is a saint for what she does!!!

    Oregon Veterinary Clinic
It's easy to get in to Oregon Veterinary Clinic. You don't have to wait. They are very accommodating with getting you in. They have multiple veterinarians that all care about your pet, check over the dog, and talk to you clearly about anything they might see. We've been going to Oregon Veterinary Clinic for many years. They were very kind and sympathetic with our other pets so we continue to use them.

They have taken care of all of my dogs for 12 or 13 years. The staff is very caring. They get to know the people so they automatically know my dog when I go in. It is very friendly. I feel like my dogs are important when I go in. I haven't compared their prices but I think they are reasonable. I will absolutely continue using them.

We have been using Chesterfield Kennel for the last four years. Our dog loves it there and we know he is in very good hands. Craig and Sue are wonderful people and do a marvelous job with the dogs. The kennel was recommended to us by a dear friend, who is a veterinarian. She said that Chesterfield was the only kennel in the area to which she would entrust her own dogs. What more can one say!
