Water Softener Installation And Repair reviews in Sussex

Tom from Hanson Soft Water called ahead to confirm the appointment and even showed up a few minutes early.  He inspected my current water softener.  He indicated there is a good chance that is still working and that a gauge wire may have come loose.  Sure enough it was loose.  He reattached it and showed me what to watch for.  He then inspected my water softener and gave me a tutorial of what will need maintenance and watch to watch.  Oh by they way he did all of this for no cost.  Tom was professional and honest.  I will be calling them in the future for any repairs or replacement and will recommend Hanson Soft Water.

My wife and I recently bought a house and wanted to get everything checked on to make sure it's in working order. We had a home inspection but wanted to get some specialists in. I bought the Angie's List $49.99 softener check-up from Water Doctors thinking they would come and clean the lines and make some adjustments as the unit is 15 years old. The guy was on time and very courteous. He came and looked at the water softener for 2 minutes and said things look good. Nothing was done, no services performed. I thought that the pipes would get a run through or something would get physically cleaned. I get that things looked good but I thought I would actually get something for the $50 I spent. They have a good reputation and we did talk about what it takes to replace the water softener once it goes. I'd use them again but just be aware of what you buy.

We had a mysterious leak in the basement that took some investigating to remedy. They were so gentle with our home, making sure to try every tactic before having to rip open walls. It took them more time to do it this way, having to give each trial time to work. And they gave us a discount by not charging us for the extra trips. The leak ended up being a venting problem found in the attic. Good job guys!
The time before that, we had accidentally flooded our basement. A clean-up company was blaming the slow drying process on our water softener so we had Rozga came out to give us a second opinion. Not only did this save us money, but the Plumber spent extra time with me explaining my new home's water system to me. He was just awesome!

My house is nearly 50 years old and had all galvanized water pipes.  I was experiencing problems with rust and an increasing number of pin hole leaks that I was fixing with pipe clamps.  The last leak caused a considerable mess and cleanup effort, prompting me to get bids for re-plumbing the whole house.  I went to Angie's List and request 3 proposals.  Jon DeBelak plumbing was the best price and Dave Sauer, the estimator, was very professional and helpful explaining the "what and why" for certain repair parameters.  Dave tested the water during his estimate and determined I did NOT need an iron filter.

Dave Sauer and another plumber named Dave did the actual replacement and repair work.  They started the job on A Monday.  They worked daily from 7:30 to 4:00 and finished at noon on Thursday.   They cleaned up and hauled away all used materials leaving my house like new, at least from a plumbing standpoint.  I doubt that I will ever need a plumber again but if I do, Jon DeBelak will be my first call.

I followed up the company with questions and it has been directed to the plumber. I asked three questions to the plumber. one is will you pull the permit for installing the water softner, he said his company will pull the permit, next question is will you provide any discount? He told me that he quoted a best price after finishing the job if it take less time then he can adjust the price. i told thats fine. and finally i asked about the schedule he mentioned that it will be taken care by his company and he mentioned the name of the person is Judi. i was about to call Judi and schdule the appointment. I received a call from Judi. she told me that the plumber gave a fair price and also she mentioned that i asked the plumber to work outside of his schedule that means without the concern of his company and she also mentioned that you can find lot of plumber outside and they are not willing to work. I am totally p***** off, i never told the plumber to work on saturday. If they tell the truth saying that we can't work with you thats fine. I know i can find many plumbers outside

ORIGINALLY THE SALESMAN, SERVICE PEOPLE AND INSTALLATION WENT GREAT. WE HAD A FEW PROBLEMS BUT THEY WERE TAKEN CARE OF PROMPTLY BY SERVICE GUYS. THE PROBLEMS CAME ABOUT AFTER ONE YEAR OF HAVING THE SOFTENER. ORIGINALLY, WE SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR 1 YEAR OF FREE SALT DELIVERY. AT THE END OF THE YEAR WE HAD TO NOTIFY CULLIGAN THAT WE NO LONGER WANTED THE SERVICE AT $20.97 A MONTH. WE CALLED TO CANCEL AND SPOKE TO A WOMAN THAT TOOK THE INFO AND THAT'S IT. WE DID ASK FOR SALT TO BE DELIVERED TWICE A YEAR AT A CHARGE. WE STARTED RECEIVNG BILLS FOR $20.97 A MONTH AND WHEN I CALLED I WAS TOLD THAT WE HAD TO GIVE THE NOTICE IN WRITING. WE WERE NOT REMINDED OF THIS ON THE ORIGINAL CALL. IT WAS OF COURSE, OUR ERROR FOR NOT REREADING THE CONTRACT, BUT A FRIENDLY REMINDER WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE. INSTEAD, I WAS TOLD, TWICE ON THE SAME CALL, BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON THAT IT IS NOT HER PROBLEM THAT I DID NOT READ THE CONTRACT WHEN I SIGNED IT. I AGREE THAT WE HAVE TO PAY AND ARE GOING TO DO THAT. I JUST THINK THAT TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DESPICABLE.

They were very punctual. The price was very good and comparable to other companies. The salesman was very nice and knowledgeable. They were highly recommended by Angie's List and our neighbors! (Price is per month, and they gave us two months free for new construction.)

The service was okay. I had to replace the water softener. I thought they did a good job and were professional in diagnosing the problem.
