FBear Paw Construction & Roofing LLCBear Paw was very high pressure and hard to schedule to do the work. Once the work was completed there were funds due to me for overpayment over nearly $3,000. Josh (owner) acknowledged that in an account overview sent to me. I have been trying to collect for nearly a year to no avail. They provided incorrect contact and web information and claimed to BBB Accredited, however in filing a claim on BBB.com it appears that is not true. I feel they are trying to scam me out of a significant sum and are hoping that I'll go away if they ignore me. I would avoid.- Brandon S.

AClark Heating & CoolingI initially scheduled a tune up, knowing the my 21 year old furnace was in its golden years. We were told it had five cracks in the heat exchange and needed to be replaced. This didn't surprise me, but I was surprised at how knowledgeable the service technician was on new furnaces and A/Cs. He was able to help me decide which model to get, as well as close estimate on the price including installation. He was also able to walk me through pros and cons on the options routing the vents. The installation went smoothly. It was on time and on budget, and the installers were very friendly. They also suggested that I didn't need a whole house humidifier, but if I ever decided that I did want one in the future, they would change me the same price, without an extra service charge for the additional visit.- Michael C.

AThompson Custom BuildersThey were super nice, and time was at the essence. I went with another builder. Everyone is so busy. I had blueprints, but they were so busy, and they never got back to me. All the builders are so overwhelmed. I called five people, and they were all busy. I would won't someone to reject them, since I had minimal experience. He did come out. It seemed like they would be a good company for the background that I needed them to do. I am in an Indian burial site, and I have to have an Architect on site to put the footing and build the garage. Its on an uncatalogued Indian burial site. It screams out of their control. With the availability. They are just as available as anyone else. They have the experience that I would have used. I have an deadline of July 1st to meet. They called me back I think. I have six or more bids, and get them mixed up. I called them, and they called me back. I think I called them back, but its because they are all so busy. We never got very far. I inquired. They were right on time for the meeting. They were there on time.- Pamela M.

AThompson Custom BuildersWe couldn't be happier with the added space we now have for our family of 6. John was wonderful to work with, very thorough and answered all of our questions. He takes pride in his work and that comes through in the crews he has working with him. We had a big project (for our life anyway), and they worked hard to get things done timely around the major holidays of thanksgiving and Christmas. His construction crew worked extremely hard and never seemed to be bothered by my two young boys always gawking and goofing around with them. We've had the space for 10 months now, and I still don't know what we did before it. We've had numerous compliments on how it looks like it was always a part of our house. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased and would recommend Thompson builders to anyone. We will always be grateful for the end result of making our house the home we always wanted for our young family.- Michael B.

AThompson Custom BuildersIt went very well. John Thompson met with me to scope out the house and get information for his bid. The plans for my addition were done by a designer John has worked with in the past and they provided a good basis for the bid. After John had put together his bid he came to my house to walk me through it. It was a very thorough package and included labor and materials quotes from all of the necessary sub contractors including: concrete, demolition, framing, windows, doors, plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, roofing, flooring, and disposal. I was impressed with all the work he had put into the bid package, with no commitment from me. I decided to use Thompson for my project. I had to add about four feet to the front of the garage to allow for a new entry door from the garage into the house. Most everything went smoothly and according to plan. At one point, the framers swapped two windows openings; a large window where it should have been a small and vice versa. We caught it early and John made it right. Another time, the lag bolts used to secure the floor joists of the new room were too long and penetrated just slightly into the existing house. John had the framers back those bolts out and use the proper size, later the drywallers patched up the holes. The project took a little longer than anticipated at the start, but that is mostly not John's fault. I had some family helping self perform some tasks - tiling the sun room, and interior trim. Getting those things done in the proper order caused the schedule to shift. John was very supportive of my desire to self perform a few things. He also helped me out in choosing and purchasing the siding I installed. I bit off a little more than I could chew in thinking I could do the stair railing. When I realized I couldn't do it properly, John was there with his carpenter to get it done. All in all I am very satisfied with the project. My family and I now spend most of our time in the new space. The only overages above the original estimate were for the stair railing, which wasn't in the estimate because I said I would do it, and a new electrical box which was needed to bring the house up to code. Even though John's fee was based on a percentage of the overall cost, he didn't up his fee with these increased costs. That's something I appreciate and respect. Thompson Custom Builders is a straight shooting organization. You work with them to find out what you want and how much it will cost, and that's what you get and what you pay.- Peter Y.

AJC BUILDERS INCThey had to overcome a few challenges because the cabinet order (through another vendor) came in wrong and incomplete. JC Builders was flexible and was able to trouble-shoot some problems...all to our satisfaction. We also had an odd space in which JC Builders created a hidden storage. AComplete Handymaney I started to build a 2 car garage but after I had the walls framed I injured my knee and was unable to finish. Mark completed the garage which included a storage room above with stairway access. and did a great job including designing the stairs which was more complicated than I thought it would be. He also finished my basement in 2007 which included a bedroom with walk in closet,bathroom,family room and movie room which I have recieved many compliments on.All the work was completed in a timely fashion.- Edwin O.

AThis was about the 4th or 5th project we've had Adam and Pat complete. Per usual, workmanship and problem solving was excellent. We had attic finished in our historic, older home so not the easiest job. Labor rates are very reasonable and Adam is extremely trustworthy, practical in solutions, and customer service is above and beyond.

AThey did a wonderful job. It felt like neighbors came in after a barn burnt. They treated us like friends They were honest, explained what they were going to do and really kept us in the loop. They explained what they could and could not restore. Once they thought they got something on the bathroom floor and they called me to ask if it were there before. Because we were not sure if it had been there before, they went ahead and replaced the floor. They packed everything and hauled it out of the house before they began work and everyone was nice and honest. Extremely professional company whom we would highly recommend to anybody.

AI met Chris while he was reproofing my neighbors house, I asked him if he'd look at my roof and inspect it for wear and damage. During his inspection he found evidence of hail damage that I was unaware of and suggested i call my insurance company, Chris also took care of some small repairs and gave me a very reasonable estimate to replace my roff in the future. CRC is definitely worth calling to get an estimate. Chris is very personable and knowledgable about roofing,

AJNS Remodeling and Jon Offutt are the BEST example of how contractors should be! He responded to my initial calls for information quickly, set an appointment to evaluate my house project, and was very diligent about working on the project continuously. He is the perfect balance between doing exactly what the client wants and using his experience to advise against bad decisions. We hired him to do our Master Bathroom and Kitchen and the results are wonderful! Between the two rooms we asked for luxury vinyl plank and tile flooring, painted cabinets, new fixtures, new tub with unique tile surround, and a new window. Jon is very much about the details and has high standards for his work. Our project came in priced less with Jon than the companies that refused to view our house, or insisted on total tear-back-to-studs construction. Jon’s communication and professionalism are second to none. He is clean on the project site and always checked in with me on timing and decisions along the way. While his contacts for materials are great, I was also able to do my own research and procure materials if I preferred. (Although I must say a special Thank You to Linda at Four Seasons and the team at Crafted Countertops. These vendors also speak highly of Jon and have been working with him for years.) I am happy to be a reference for Jon and show off his excellent work!

AThompson Custom Builders is AMAZING! John Thompson personally walked with us through the entire process, was patient, honest and accurate with his estimates. His communication was clear and he truly has a heart for this. All people associated with Thompson Custom Builders did a professional job and produced customized high-end results. It was great to not have to fight to get what we wanted. They knew what we wanted and they created it. No surprises or omissions. We experienced a devastating flood in our basement in 2018. When we talked with Thompson Custom Builders, the basement was concrete floor, wood studs, and the entire electrical had to be replaced. They took it from a blank canvas and created a wonderful basement with custom Amish built cabinetry and kitchenette, exercise area, full bathroom, and wonderful family room with TV viewing area. We love it! As a business owner myself, I appreciate their honest, truthful, approach to cost, setting expectations, work ethic and quality. AIt went really well. Nick was responsive via email, and he was communicative throughout the process. Nick found a creative way of running power out to my garage, installed a sub panel, added five outlets on individual circuits to my garage, and ran power to my new L2 car charger. I couldn't believe how fast they were able to knock out the project. I like the way that he set things up so that we can easily expand in the future. Nick and his assistant were really nice guys with great attitudes. They worked efficiently, cleaned up after themselves, and did a really nice job. I would absolutely hire them again.

AJohn, Bill, and Michelle worked very hard and effectively to remove extensive mold in the basement, and mold throughout the rest of the house. The project took many days. These workers were genuinely concerned about the health and comfort of the family member who remained in the house throughout the project, and were excellent about communicating with the family about what was planned and accomplished for each day. We recommend JP Improvements! This is a trustworthy company with extensive experience in mold remediation.

Bryan, Jennie, Nicole, Brea, Bruce, Sam and the rest of the crew were prompt, honest, kind & considerate during the home building process. We selected CCHOW because of the high quality of work and pride of their finish product. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering building.
