    By far the worst imaginable experience I think you could have getting a windshield replaced. Paul came to my home to replace the windshield on my car which is 6 months old.  I inspected the windshield after the tech competed the job and the new windshield has a 2" scratch, a defect in the tint, the tech put pry marks in my cowling, and the molding around the windshield didn't even touch the glass on the drivers side. Safelite was notified and they agreed to install another new windshield and correct the problems but this time i had to take it to their shop (40 miles away). They scheduled for the first appointment on a Saturday morning. Upon arrival the tech said they did not have the parts or the windshield as they were only going to "look it over" for that appointment!!!  What a complete waste of my time. Safelite corporate apologized and rescheduled for the next Saturday and another 40 mile one way drive to their Pewaukee shop.  Upon arrival I was told it would be a 1 1/2 to 2 hour appointment.  I could have a seat in the waiting room and the technician would come and find me with any questions.  It was about 9:20am when I finally saw the car leave for the work to be completed.  A short time later the technician came to get me so I could point out the problems.  I pointed out the scratch, the tint imperfections, the molding problems, and the pry marks on the cowling. He told me it was normal to have pry marks in the cowling as they have to get it off somehow and there will always be gaps between the molding and the window.  He did not mention the scratch or the tint imperfections.  He asked me what I would like him to do to make me happy and I said I'd like it to look like the new car I originally brought in:  no scratch in the windshield, the molding properly applied, and the cowling replaced.  He told me he "obviously" did not have any of these parts in house, he'd have to order them and reschedule.  I informed him the parts were ordered and ready for install.  The 9am appointment was to make the fixes.  He said he'd talk to his supervisor, maybe he already ordered the parts.  At this point I had someone pick me up so I wouldn't have to sit in the waiting room.  I left my number and asked to be called with any questions, information, or when it was done.  By 10:15am I had heard nothing.  I called to see if it was being done today or not.  After a brief hold I was told the technician would call me back in a few minutes.  20 minutes later I called again.  After another brief hold I was told the parts were there, the car could be done today, but it would take hours to do it as they have other appointments scheduled and It probably wouldn't be done until 5pm when they close.  At this point  I called corporate and explained the entire disaster again and questioned why i now have to be squeezed in when i had a 9am appointment and what reasonable business would expect a customer to wait their for 8 hours? Corporate offered a $50 rebate for my inconvenience. The car was not finished until 3pm so another 6 hours wasted waiting. Fortunately they did an excellent job this time which is what I would have expected the first time around.
    To summarize: Who in their right mind would do business with a company that says pry marks, misaligned molding and trim are normal and to be expected?I  will never do business with them again and will do my best to let everyone know just how poor the service is. AVOID!!
